  1. Saw a Continental Flying Spur a few days back... interesting little piece of machinery... I LOVE IT!
  2. Well, in the Persian Gulf Bahrain is the only more liberal country besides the UAE. Kuwait's also interesting: the laws are way less liberal than in Bahrain and the UAE, yet it is the Gulf country where women are more emancipated.

    Happy b-day *refrains from singing*
  5. "This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality"
  6. You forgot Bahrain
  7. "uma pessoa que vai sempre dizer sim" would be a possible translation, but we don't say that. Actually, I don't think there's an expression in Portuguese for a "yes man", even though there's plenty of those guys around... We use the English expression.Yes, they are still married: they're both from the filthy-rich-spoiled-kids set, so they need to keep appearances...
  8. Apparently, the wife of the partner in charge of Consulting told everyone sitting at the dinner table during the company's last Christmas party (10 or 12 years ago) that her husband was nothing more than another partner's "yes man". There were no more Christmas parties after that
  9. Let's see who guesses this one. I have stopped before the sleaziest bits I've been to Hastings, And I've been to Brighton I've been to Eastport too So what?! So what?! I've been here And I've been there I've been every-f#cking-where So what?! So what?! So what, so what You boring little f#ck
  10. Frantic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-toc? But seriously, perhaps the added investment in the Lambda minivans could not be justified unless the segment exhibited a given growth rate? I believe there are older posts about the minivan market saying the segment is at its peak or has peaked already... Maybe options other than Lambda are being evaluated for that segment : importing the Opel Zafira, developing EpII-based minivans (if that is possible- I have no idea re that), and whatever other scenarios.
  11. I believe you're thinking Opel Zafira. I think it might do well over there.
  12. Cool!I'm sure that in a couple years time GM and Apple will bring you the iFob: the iPod key fob for your GM car! Checking fuel levels and tire pressures remotely can be convenient, especially for the "not so car care inclined" crowd.
  13. Buick has reason to be proud of what they accomplished with the Enclave. Now let's do something similar with the NG LaCrosse and Lucerne
  14. I read the 1.7L diesel will have 2 power ratings: 110hp and 125 hp. Do you have any info on both finding their way into the Corsa?Nice avatar, btw.
  15. Exactly! I think ALL elected officials should take their oath of office on the Constitution, as that's the document they are pledging to protect and defend, but if someone wishes to use their Faith's holy texts that's fine: Bible, Torah, Quran, Buddhist texts, whatever!EDIT - LOL @ underpants pics
  16. You're not the only one. I think the current interior looks like crap.
  17. The front end in the GTC concept was way nicer. The car lost a lot of character from concept to production just because of the front end changes. @ Flybrian - you forgot to include the Holden Captiva MaXX's rear photo: it has the same tail light design as the VUE, different from the Opel Antara's tail lights.
  18. The Holden Captiva MaXX arrives in the US. Clicky
  19. This is the only Buick I'd buy. I hope the design theme carries over to the NG LaCrosse and Lucerne, and also to that mysterious 4th model.
  20. Black's my favourite CTS colour. And it's very nice to see people buying manual-transmission CTSs! Is the rear spoiler deletable in Sport package models?
  21. But isn't it more attractive to be present with a smaller crossover (the crossover segment is publicly percieved to be a growth segment), than it is to have another coupe or convertible?
  22. So, would it be: 1. Enlcave 2. NG LaCrosse 3. NG Lucerne (eventually RWD) 4. ??? Could nr. 4 be a TE so Buick could have a smaller crossover that appeals to both the SUV and minivan crowd?
  23. Aha, I've only heard the word when watching Mad Money on CNBC
  24. Is America getting the Qashqai?
