  2. And a new exterior as well. IMO, after the new CTS a grille-job isn't enough to keep the STS interesting.

  4. I'd question why at least some people in Washington favour a strong dollar policy at all costs when the US has been running twin deficits for most of the last 2 or 3 decades... Isn't that unfair manupulation of currency markets as well? Shouldn't free currency markets reflect only trade deficits/surpluses and interest rate differencials?

    Saab Story

Great read! I hope Saab gets the attention it deserves: its traditional 'quirkyness' coupled with some traditional Swedish utility-driven design has the potential to make it quite unique and disctinctive from other auto brands. P.S. - Also, if Saab does gets attention, maybe I can get the job I applied for at Saab (in Trollhättan) :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Growing where the growth is happening is good, noticing that GM is gaining market share in China makes it even better (I wonder what GM's outlook in India and other high growth countries is). I hope this translates into GM's bottom line, but mostly (in conjunction with the restructuring efforts in NA and Europe) into generating positive cash flow from operations.

Someone on these forums saw a clay model of a heavily revised STS. Such an update would make more sense for the 2009/2010 model year, and I'd dare to suggest that it is done in long wheelbase form only (EDIT: unless the US plant can't accomodate producing the LWB).

  11. That's interesting, because what first struck my mind when I read the thread was NG Northstar. Due to market perceptions, I don't see non-V CTS models using a cam-in-block engine. Could it be a NG Northstar that will make it to the CTS to go against the 550i? I could see such a car become a reality as soon as the NG (or a very heavily revised) more upscale STS debuts...EDIT: re the Camaro, is the rear track on the concept convertible the same as last year's coupe?
