This car would need no more than a black-chrome waterfall grille and Buick bages in place of the Opel ones. Hope GM decides to offer it in North America!

Agreed with hyperb6. If it HAS to be the same engine for some reason, why not introduce it as the Cadillac engine and then have it trickle down?... Perception-wise it is a totally different thing and GM has to address the perception issue as well as the nuts-and-bolts side of things...

Audi News: Next-Generation Audi A4 To Come With A Diesel Option
ZL-1 replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Absolutely.... though I'm not sure their current 2.0 liter is up to the task. The twin-turbo 2.0L surely is, but maybe it could/should be pushed to some 200HP to be a bit above the Opel rating... -
Agreed. And to your point, that brand-specific approach will have to start at Cadillac where the top notch ratings should appear.

Volvo News: Volvo Looking At Whether To Bring The V60 To The U.S.
ZL-1 replied to William Maley's topic in Volvo
it's a nice wagon, but it won't sell in the US; V70 is a better bet IMHO. The V60 was not conceived as a hauler but as a lifestyle vehicle (i.e. a more stylish alternative to having a sedan, with added versatility). IIRC, with the rear seats up the trunk is actually smaller than the sedan's! I drove a couple of those during last year in Sweden (PSA-Ford 1.6L turbodiesel - 115HP) and the altough engine isn't a powerhouse, the dual clutch transmission is awesome in exploring the engine's capabilities. The manual I drove just sucked...- 4 replies

Or a place to install child or dog seats The Maserati coupe and convertible is a neat car, see a few around once in a while...fairly scarce. Scarce, yes. Over here too. There's a black one that parks in the office building in front of the one I'm located at and it's just Sadly they are very popular in seattle and you see them daily. Nice cars but not as rare as they would seem to be elsewhere. The luxo coupe/convertible in a similar price range that seems very popular around here (in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, mostly) is the BMW 6 series, and most seem to have the full douchebag trim--black w/ oversized bling wheels, etc. I just LOVE the 6-series! The Grand Coupe is very good looking too

Agreed on the rear center passenger headrests! Re rollover protection, maybe the windshield acts as the rollover protection arch? If rollover protection arches behind the seats were really necessary they would be there for sure!
