  1. Saw my 1st 4-Series coupe last week: very low and wide proportions-wise; looks very good IRL (much better than in photos IMHO). I expect the convertible to look pretty much the same way.
  2. Pretty sure there will be a replacement as Land Rover needs a hard-core offroader. And IMHO it'd be a litttle stupid to throw the Defender name away.
  3. Let's see what happens...
  4. An Omega-based crossover could work... But I'd rather have the successor to the SRX to move to Alpha and an ATS-sized Alpha crossvoer to be introduced...
  5. To me it's the best looking of the new SUVs. I love the tail lights, but I'm hoping the Euro-spec ones don't look like sh*t like the current gen's Euro-spec tail lights...
  6. Could be an interesting option... But purists will want RWD...
  7. Isn't this "oh we're having trouble with V8 powered truck dealer orders" a (perhaps CAFE-induced) way to shove V6 models into dealer lots? I mean, irrespective of the V6's qualities dealers will have a tendency to boast the 2 extra cylinders to prospective costumers and they'll order from GM accordingly. This reminds me of how different the car shopping experience is in the US, it seems, when compared to Europe: over here we usually spec our cars and then go to a dealer, or go to a dealer and spec the cars withthe salesperson. Most of us when buying new will order the car to the desired spec and wait for it. In the US it seems like much more of going to the dealer who has a fairly large inventory sitting there and one just picks; very supermarket-like...
  8. So instead of leading the pack and risking creating and having 1st mover advantage in a segment (or sub-segment), you once again decide to wait and see... Nice going, GM...
  9. In Cadillac's/GM's defense, that's a CGI so it doesn't quite capture differences in textures from higher/lower grade materials. I'd expect a $80K SUV to have better materials than a $40K ATS.
  10. With paddles on the steering wheel for some manumatic action =
  11. Lazyness Also, I'm in the middle of an internal audit assignment and... Up to my neck in work...
  12. Will try to upload a pic or two
  13. I now have a Megane GT Line wagon (1.5dCi)... Only experience with GM/Fiat 1.3L diesel is in the Corsa (rental car) and there it performs quite well for such a small engine
  14. Beans
  15. 2.0L is a bit of a surprise, but BMW has been hard at work to adapt 2.0L blocks to the MINI's engine bay (as exemplified by the Cooper SD here in Europe)... Also, wonder if the JCW will go over 230HP this time around...
  16. Alaska
  17. The Ford one (Powershift or whatever it's called) used in Volvos is quite smooth even in traffic. Sampled it once in Sweden with a 1.6L diesel V60 wagon and with that engine I actually liked it better than the standard manual gearbox.
  18. Thought this was for a Pontiac
  19. Kinda wondering if this will be offered instead of the 8-speed conventional automatic in, for example, the V-Sport Cadillacs (RWD/AWD)...
  20. Sim
  21. I'm developing a fascionation over this car's rear end...... But seriously, now: it looks way better and a part of a cohesive design in real world pictures when compared with GM's official photos.
