  1. If I could afford the cars you guys are mentioning, I would just change my car every 3 months or so. Better yet, I would buy a local GM Dealer just so I could change my car weekly.
  2. This should prove well for GM bringing over more Opels as they are, and not "Americanizing" them.
  3. Let's see ridgeline - 16/21 mpg Avalanche - 15/20 mpg Colorado - 16/22 mpg Love that honda mileage. Another media twist on gas hogs.
  4. When the math is done, nothing beats the HHR. Perfect crash rating, moderate price, decent power, outstanding rear legroom . . . It just adds up, no matter how you look at it. That's why we bought one.
  5. Unfortunetly GM isn't really good at this. And we all know toyota has a plant in 50th place that they will advertise how great it is because they started recycling cardboard.
  6. Because they are 99% toyota 1% GM. The only part GM plays is the plant, possibly the stereo.
  7. Funny, I just watched this movie last week. What car did Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr drive in the movie? ** In the first one it was a Ferrari, in the second a Corvette What car did Frank Sinatra drive? ** Dodge Avenger? What car did Burt Reynolds and Dom Delouise (sp?) drive? ** Ambulance in the first one, Chrylser "limo" in the second What, at the time, very young martial arts star was in this movie? ** Chan There were two characters on this movie from the same TV series. What series and what two actors were they? ** Not sure here One character from MASH was in the movie, what was his character's name and his real name? ** Clinger (Mash name), not sure of real name, though I love both Mash and ofcourse Cannonball And one final one, what was the name of the orangutang (sp?), and what other movie did he star in along with another actor? ** Not sure of his name, but he was in Smoke and the Bandit with Burt
  8. We all grow up.

That's how we got our second kid. Best bet, wait until your married and are willing to support the person.
  10. Word for word on the Chevy Performance section under Camaro "Now" area; "It official: Chevy Camaro -- show here as a preproduction vehicle -- is returning to the streets. . . . Best of all, you'll be able to get this four-passenger, rear wheel drive performance coupe in 2009" Chevrolet Performance Website You need to click on "Then and Now", then click on "Now" to read about it.
  11. It looks for "Asian". Perfect for Saturn, not my style.
  12. The T-355s seem to have been bad luck every where they went. First they got introduced at the killing of Oldsmobile, then they get put into 2 divisions that are just going to kill them off as soon as they got there.
  13. This time they're going to avoid a recall no matter what.
  14. I like how they left the Opel interior mostly alone.
  15. Time for GM to toute the good rating by the Malibu vs the camry & accord.
  16. According to Motor Trend, as we know they are a very un-biased and 100% correct magazine , we can expect; Buick Enclave Cadillac BRX Cadillac CTS Chevrolet Aveo 5-door Chevrolet Malibu Chevrolet Trailblazer (and this is how we know MT is spot on ) GMC Envoy (see above) GMC Yukon Hybrid Hummer H3 Alpha Pontiac Bonneville Pontiac GTO Pontiac Solstice hardtop Pontiac Sport Wagon (see Chevrolet Trailblazer) Saturn Ion I did leave out the ones that they say are 2008s that are actually 2007s.
  17. Anyone remember how hot the current Malibu looked via a sketch? If nothing else, it does look like it will have more life than the current Malibu.

    terraza,

All four of the vans can't go soon enough. GM is better off cancelling them than having the reputation that goes with building them.
  19. Food for thought; 1. Nothing was mentioned of GMs recalls going down? 2. Nothing was mentioned about the above in the article? 3. If it takes 4 years to make the turn around because of recalls, GMs should keep going down while toyota starts to go up. That would mean by next year, toyota with less cars sold will have more recalls.
  20. As much as the press likes to rip on the HHR, it's long term ownership costs is one of the lowest out there, beating the PT Cruiser and other small wagons.
  21. We can only hope walmart colapses with them.
  22. Maybe part of Lutz's comment about GM products getting better gas mileage has to do with them advertising the Ecotecs actual mileage rather than devaluing them.
  23. I'm just disappointed they didn't already have this when I bought our HHR. I have my IPod connected almost all the time, but with no battery it becomes useless, especially when I forget to turn it off when not using the car.
  24. Some of you might think I'm crazy for this, but maybe if we tear down all the old crap on the East Coast and build more efficent buildings you wouldn't be having that problem. Go with me for a minute on this. Our 3 year, 1600 sqare foot home cost $75 in electricity last month to keep cool with record high temps for Oregon (104 degrees on one of the days). We couldn't keep our old 1000 sq ft heated in the winter months for less than $100 a month even without record lows. I couldn't even start to imagine had we had AC in our old apartment what the cost would be. Our home uses gas for heat and so far our worst bill has been $70 when we had the super cold spells this last winter. Imagine if we tore down all the old buildings back east, as the west coast is known for already tearing them down and starting over, we could cut our overall energy consumption in 1/2.
  25. Hopefully real life will bring more life to the trucks. The GMC version is definitly a better looking truck.
