  1. Not good news. It seems as if there is no end in sight for Ford at this point. They just don't have the products that sell in bulk any more.
  2. Considering the level of equipment and high level of fit and finish the price seems reasonable. Though it does seem high for a Pontiac in general.
  3. Rot on the vine like the Cavalier.
  4. There is some great information on honda and their exploding transmissions. Try; http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/...ansmission.html http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/forumdisplay/f-58.html http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-message?message_id=33622 http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/showthread.php?t=275628 (many others available on this site) Also check out about the new tundra bed issues at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U6KmwB2LyY (more fun to watch than anything else) http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/aos/432841382.html As I remember more I will pass it on.
  5. From the price and variety stand point, it seems as if GM is trying to make these cross-overs what the Caravan and Town & Country are to Chrysler. To compete with the minivans out there, they will need to have one starting at the $23,000 range. Question is; how do you do that without taking too much content out?
  6. That does look like a base version. Many have said the upper versions & ones in another color but grey look nicer. Comments about the camry having a crappy interior in base version grey have been made as well.
  7. I love the boldness of the ad. Especially with the new hyundai ads that just came out.
  8. It is funny really. The fact that he even made the comment. When you think about it, "gay guys" like we know it in America (outward) do not exist in Iran. "Gay" sex, however, does.
  9. Congrats on the new truck. By the way our Boy has been complaining about his acura, I'm not at all suprised to hear the story of your honda.
  10. Like them or not they make alot of sense for families. You can get away from the gas hogs, minivan stigma, and get some car like luxuries. My only complaint is the price. The GM trio is $5000+ more than the minivan they are replacing. Even toyotas sienna is MUCH cheaper than the hylander.
  11. Everything. I hate buying used because 90% of the time the car smells odd, and the prior person has beaten it up in one way or another. Our next new vehicle will most likley be a Hybrid Traverse or something similar unless GM offers an Hybrid AWD wagon / sedan that fits our family. At his point in my life our cars are about logic vs emotion. When the kids move out I'll move back to emotion (possibly).
  12. That is inline with a UPS full-scale driver of $28.15 per hour. Good money, but not over done. It's too bad our country didn't have more jobs like this now days.
  13. I don't think he was trying to insult those of you that are car sales people. He was just stating what others said to him.
  14. Nice thing about UPS. There is no way to outsource our work. The catch. UPS is big on other companies outsourcing because it creates more business for us.
  15. That interior still looks like crap. Typical Chrysler look of cheapness.
  16. How many trucks are you loading and how many packages per shift? I average 1000 to 1200 packages per shift on 4 trucks. I am also secondary sort to a training area (meaning I do the smalls 90% of the time and erregs 75% of the time on our side of the belt).
  17. #1; I'm not mormon nor would I be one to get additional wives. #2; Saying those religions that support polygamy are religions that are abusive is like saying all gay people have aids. When I went to Guinea (Africa) I saw MANY loving and positive marriages with more than 1 wife. The Christians, Muslims and Mormons that have multiple marriages are a part of our Western Society believe in it and thrive in it. They just are not legally married to more than 1 wife.
  18. Until they allow polygamy for religous groups (Morman, Christian & Muslim) they shouldn't allow same sex marriages. Atleast the others have religous reasons. I'm not saying there shouldn't be same sex marriages, I'm just saying without one how could there be the other. Something else to think about. If in fact our country isn't religous based how come we don't allow for multiple mate marriages?
  19. Forget cities how about a state. Oregon; those from teh east like to say Oreee - gone
  20. Welcome to UPS! You will be in pain shortly. If you had any weight to loose you will now loose it. Infact if you didn't have any weight to loose you will now loose it. GOOD LUCK and remember the UPS moto. "If you don't hurt then you aren't working fast enough."
  21. Not only do I love the shape, but I love the way it drives (which I test drove a little over a month ago).
  22. The rear trunk sure has a big gap where it meets up with the bumper.
  23. I think toyota is too far along on the next gen prius to make changes at this point. Even if GM beats toyota by only a year it would make a huge impact for the General Motors and the other Detroit auto makers. This could be the one product that gets people back to the GM showrooms. Imagine how many people will show up at the Chevy & Saturn Dealership just to check out these vehicles with no intention of buying one. The Volt alone could restart GMs mid-size & compact cars in the market place. Their timing is well planned. 2010 new compacts to come out at the same time as the Volt (hopefully Saturn version as well), plus a new mid-size sedan coming out again a year later. If they do what Lutz has said they are going to do, then they can tout the new Volt along with best in class gas mileage by their compact & mid-size sedans. I'm sure they will also have better hybirds in then new compacts & midsizers by the as well.
  24. That's a nice looking old Buick. It's no wonder the CTS is still doing so well. The lease rates are awesome.
  25. With enough incentives they could sell as many as they want. Just wait, next month they are going to have "special" tundra pricing. Their ad will read something like this; Buy a tundra for the previous price of an echo because the gas mileage on the tundra is so bad we can't give them away. or Buy a tundra for the prvious price on an echo and we will throw in 3 recalls at no charge!
