  1. I wouldn't even consider one. Though I'm against most foreign cars (short of Ferrari and the like) so I'm not one to ask.
  2. Yeah, a Buell just doesn't cut it for me.
  3. I'm not a G8 fan. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice car, just not my style. I want something more on the quite and compliant side this time. I love the STS because you get the sport and the luxury wrapped up in one.
  4. To me a Ducati is like a Ferrari. It's a foreign vehicle worth owning.
  5. Anyone know when we will see the LaCrosse replacement? I have the itch for a new car. So far we've test driven; Malibu - Great car; awesome engine; good handling; alot of car for the money - My wife doesn't like the headrest Lucerne - Not as nice as the Malibu and too "big" for my taste Slightly used CTS - Just can't get over the interior, but LOVE the car New CTS - A little small for our family for the amount it would cost. STS V8 - Where do I start on how how much I love this car. If only I could find a used, low mileage one that fits my budget. The only flaw I could find with the car is the cost to purchase it. Heck, if I could get the payments right on a V6 with Nav and heated / cooled front seats, I would take it. I'm hoping the new LaCrosse would be a good compromise between an STS and Malibu.
  6. I went to an official unveiling of the new Ducati 848 tonight. WOW is it beautiful. That is one foreign vehicle that would look great in my garage and under my _ss. Maybe I could talk my wife into a good used Ducati Monster . . .
  7. We had our 2005 Cobalt for 40,000 very hard miles. It never let us down and usually got 38 to 42 mpg. We loved the car, but wanted more room. I have a friend with the automatic and his gas mileage isn't near what we got with the 5-speed. I took it on a 2200 mile road trip in the winter to Colorado with a friend and the car did great. At one time he was doing over 100 mph for an hour+ and the car just held steady (until he got pulled over). We could recommend a Cobalt to anyone. One of the latest reports show it having one of the lowest cost of ownerships over 3 years & 60k miles for a compact (in the top 3). From our experience I wouldn't be suprised.
  8. Sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you where able to minimize the damage though. Atleast you know enough about cars to give them a positive direction on what to look for. Many out there would have said Ford Explorer, or toyota camry.
  9. Wow, and coming from the anti-GM LA News. Impressive.
  10. And we would expect something else from toyota?
  11. At this time, no matter how great the Malibu is, no magazine will want to rate it first.
  12. CTS & STS has great leases right now. CTS at $299 for base, STS, $439. Throw in the AWD on a CTS and you have the perfect car.
  13. My wife is the one in the middle. Mother-in-Law on left, wife's cousin from Holland on right, and daughters in front. The picture does my Mother-in-Law no justice. I've caught guys, younger and older, checking her out on many occasions. My Mom always said, if you want a hot wife, look at her Mom. Many young females are hot, few older women are.
  14. My thoughts exactly.
  15. Although I find her to be beautiful, after 15 years of marriage and two kids, you guys might not. On the positive side, she is still a slender 115 pounds, makes great food, pretty much does everything a 1950s wife would/should do, and still gives it up when I want it. A good friend of mine tells me she is a MILF.
  16. It seems all the magazines are putting the Bu right up at the top and swapping the camry and accord for 1st. To me this says they just are not ready to write an article with an American car being #1. As a very strong #2 in every article, I think the general public will take notice.
  17. Makes sense. This isn't the first time, and won't be the last time Motor Trend has blown it.
  18. As most of you know my wife bought a Camaro, sight unseen on Ebay. This might be most guys dream, but my wife didn't see if it could seat 4. See, this Camaro has a 4-point roll cage bar, instead of 4 seats. To make a long story short, it's now up for sale. I got some decent pictures of it after having it detailed and some minor issues taken care of (center console replaced). You can check out the pictures at Camaro ad. The other cars are also for sale because she doesn't need 3 cars, and I want a new one. HHR in Craigslist / HHR in Autotrader Park Avenue in Craigslist / Park Avenue in Autotrader
  19. The Malibu or CTS is bound to win, but I wonder about the truck catagory. As neat as the Hybrid Tahoe is, I don't think that it's enough of a change to win.
  20. I just wanted the first one to go to another home. Once I realized how strong the cars are I knew I could abuse the second one without worry. I've already started to be more careful with the new one (actually willing to spend the money on an oil change).
  21. Classic. That's beautiful.
  22. Such a sad thing to see.
  23. This past weekend my wife found a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice with the 9C1 pkg for sale. It has 133k miles and in fairly decent condition. At only $2,000 we couldn't pass it up. The new one is equipped just like the old but has tinted windows and working AC to make our daughters willing to drive in it. Oh yeah, and it's missing the cage and bars on the windows. Any ideas on what I can do to this one? For those that don't know; we've done the following to the previous ones; 1. Put 1 gallon of water for 10 gallons of fuel (Roach I only) 2. Jumped both of them multiple times 3. Leveled gravel (Roach I) 4. Jumped on the hood, roof & trunk (frequently) 5. Pushed other cars 6. Rallied to the point of almost taking out a couple of trees 7. Put the car in reverse at highway speeds 8. Floored the car in reverse only to put it in drive once it started to move (Roach I) 9. Take of plug wires for a week at a time (Roach I) 10. Darn near totaled a civic. With little damage to Roach I. (Wife driving) 11. Ram into poles at speed 12. Drove over the speed limit (way over) to get others to move out of my way on the highway (they thought I was a cop) 13. Ignore oil changes (Roach I) 14. Driven past the 390K mile mark on Roach I, 200k mark on Roach II (same engine, trans, etc) For the record, I was VERY rough on Roach I because I wanted to get rid of it. I was semi careful, as Roaches go, with Roach II. I do want to "take care of" Roach III, but . . . **Pictures to come after "Peak" season.
  24. The # of hours he was working is no different than UPS Supervisors & Managers. Normal is 11 to 12 hours, peak can bring them upto 14 per day.
  25. It amazes me hot fast some people can trash a car. They seemed to have gone out of their way to trash your old one.
