  1. Yeah, who is this guy? Josh, is he a GM employee? What else did he say when he slipped you this pdf file?
  2. Ok Josh, this pdf file is very interesting. Having never seen an internal GM memo it is hard to say one way or another if this is genuine. I have a hard time imagining that it could be for real after a successful Buick Enclave Launch and Bob Lutz telling the media that this was near production ready. Do you know who sent this to you? Is warren8391 a gm employee? I would love for AH-HA to comment on this memo. Is anyone else on this website a true gm insider? Does this memo look legit? Also, what are the following codes? What vehicles do they represent? GMT 966 GMT 967 GMT 968 GMX 002 This topic has caused a lot of discussion but now Josh has stepped up and provided the originating memo and person (email address). Thank you Josh. Now we have some real information to work with.
  3. I don't think Josh would have had to step down if he had immediately posted a statement on the home page when GM asked that the page be taken down. In stead, he continued to defend his statement and refuse to take responsibility. Even still, he states that he was mislead. Well, sorry. I could tell you that NASA has purchased GM and will sell moonrovers at the Saturn dealership... but I am not to blame if you go and post that on your website for the world to read. It is your job as a journalist to research my claim before you tell the world.
  4. Kinda convenient to dare people to prove otherwise when your original post is not available to be quoted. Seeing as how you are the only one with access to it, it is very hard to use the original thread.
  5. Agreed.
  6. I applaud GMInsideNews for not falling into the trap of slapping this story on their front page. AH-HA also handled this well on his webpage.
  7. Thank you. If Josh knew it was just a two month delay until production he sure didn't do anything to keep the coversation from getting out of hand with doomsday predictions. Any my comment was written to Josh earlier about the retraction...not to Variance since it was Josh who started this mess.
  8. So Josh, why don't you place your retraction on the home page to tell people what happened? It would help your and the sites credibility.
  9. The Zeta program was shelved - early on in its development. The Outlook introduction was delayed by two months. Big difference.
  10. At the top of the homepage it said "Outlook Shelved". If Josh wanted to state the facts plainly then his headline should have read "Outlook delayed two months" There is a huge difference in the two titles. While in the meat of the article Josh went on to further elaborate his "shelved" title - clearly he led people to assume something that was simply not true. This is sensationalistic journalism. I will read the Star for crap like that. It WAS NOT NEWS!!! What he said was an editorial. There is a HUGE difference. Also, why doesn't Josh post the retraction on the homepage? That would be the right thing to do. If you blast some un truth on the home page - that is the place the retraction should be placed.
  11. Your retraction is hard to find for the casual user. Why not post the retraction on the home page and replace the link that is right below the Outlook picture. You may have deactivated the link and posted a retraction - but you still aren't being forthright. It is like running a false story on the front page and then posting a retraction in small print burried under the classifieds the next day. It is immature and lacking in character. Post the retraction on your homepage. Today you lost more fans to GMI.
  12. If GM has to pick vehicles to dedicate the six speed to, I would prefer it show up in the Lucerne, DTS, and the Epsilon cars. The rumor is that the next Pontiac GP will be on a different chassis, possibly RWD. Don't waste money on the current GP. Also, it is also rumored that the next Lacrosse will be on the Epsilon II platform - which will get a six speed for sure. Just updating the grill and interior combined with GM's proven 5.3L V8 would do enough to boost sales. Put the six speed autos in the cars that have the most future: All GMT900s All Lambdas All Epsilons Lucerne DTS
  13. Excellent - so when can we expect the Astra on our shores.
  14. If GM were serious about Saturn - they would ditch the Ion and bring out the Astra this fall. While their at it, ditch the Relay as well. Just imagine if Saturn had a completely new lineup all at once. The Astra could then be replaced in 2 to 3 years when Europe's gets updated. Just imagine: Sky Astra Aura Outlook Oh - to be a Saturn dealership. They wouldn't need incentives. In fact, they would have a difficult time keeping inventory in stock.
  15. It looks really good - considering that it is covered up with camo. The seats (from what we can tell) look similar to the contoured leather seats in the Aurora. Those looked nice and were very comfortable. I think it was Ah-Ha that stated that the interior will be incredible. The Aura and Sky both have great interiors - I assume that this will be class leading. As someone has already stated - I also predict that the second generation Murano, Pilot and Highlander will all grow in size to be similar to these. If this happens (and it will with at least the Pilot) - then GM will finally be coming to the party with the right size vehicle. GM needs to get these on the road as soon as possible. Saturn dealerships are going to have a great year starting this fall. The Sky, Aura and Outlook are going to drive some pretty strong dealer traffic.
  16. This is a sign that GM has turned the corner. The Enclave is everything that needed to happen for this company. I can't wait to see it on the road.
  17. I'm still waiting to hear some fuel economy numbers. I predict that the Silverado/Sierra duo will be best in class. How many prius cars will have to be sold to offset the Tundra/Sequoia pair. I am not impressed at all.
  18. I still subscribe to the big four auto magazines and have for over ten years. While I will agree that they are "old news" many months - it is still entertaining. Plus, I can't bring my computer into the bathroom to read when I am busy on the throne. I like both - the internet and print media. I often take both with a ton of salt.
  19. I have seen several Tahoes driving around San Antonio in the past week or so. This will be a huge seller. It looks much better on the road than the old one.
  20. Ted - you are amazing. Let's see how long it is before the new link is shut down. This is great.
  21. So I guess we will see pretty soon if the hood vents and center exhaust make it to the production car.
  22. It looks like you may be right. The Saturn Aura that was on dislpay in Houston this past week DID NOT have the GM badge. That is cool. It also looks like the bold wheel arches survived from the concept.
  23. The "Concept" Aura has evolved slightly over the past year to incorporate more production items. There have been slight changes to the interior as well. The panoramic sun roof is a production unit from the Pontiac G6. I would imagine that this will be a production option. I believe the Aura is going to officially debut in New York and it probably won't look much different than it does now.
  24. I don't get it? Why is GM delaying the introduction of their new trucks? Toyota is going to introduce their new Tundra in Chicago. GM has to show up with the goods.
  25. The Escalade looks good black on black. I wish I could afford one. The commercials were kinda lame though. It would have been nice to see one in action.
