I hope this is true - that they will only sell the two door version. I'm sure the cobalt is a great sedan - but it looks terrible. The coupe is the only way to go. It will help to boost pontiac's small sporty car image. So will there be a GXP version?
  2. I like it. I just hope the new Silverado looks different from the Tahoe/Avalanche.
  3. Yes this seems very interesting. So when exactly are we getting the new CTS? Could it be that the 2007 will be a short year like the 2006 GMT800s? Maybe the 2007s will be produced through the summer and fall of 2006 and then the line will be converted to 2008 models for a January release? Ah-Ha - do you have any information on this? Could it be that GM has a surprise for us? Will we see an all new CTS this fall?
  4. LMAO!! Very funny. One thing... you forgot the JDPower observations.... Normal Person: "look the sky is blue!" JDPower: "Yes it is blue and the scientific analysis support that the sky is blue" Consumer Reports: "Have some koolaid before looking up at the sky - you will then see that it is very green..."
  5. This would be really cool. They have made sublte changes to the interior of the "concept" car that has appeared at the various auto shows. Last November at the San Antonio Auto Show they had a "concept" Aura and it looked production ready. Everything looked like it was ready to drive off the show room floor. I predict that the Outlook and Aura will debut in a joint media event and that we will then see that the Aura hasn't changed much at all.
  6. Are there any bigger pictures available?
  7. Any new information on the Outlook?
  8. You can't really compare the pricing of the new Tahoe to the old one. The new one is so much better in every way. I feel that the pricing is actually pretty good.
  9. Again - this is the best vehicle to come out of GM in a long time (excluding the C6 and Z06). It shows that all the hype of the future models is for real. Remember that the press folks that saw this six months ago said in the same breath that the Lambdas, Epsilon II cars and the upcoming CTS were all wonderful. Wow! I can't wait to see these other vehicles that are coming!!!
  10. Possibly. What does a loaded Durango cost? You can easily add $5K to the cost of a loaded Durango. My guess is that it would place this at or over $40K. My guess is that the Enclave will start in the high $30K's and run up in the mid $40K's. That means that while the Enclave will sell without discounts and the Aspen will not... But the reality is that the Aspen will not compete against the Lexus RX and GX while the Enclave will.
  11. I think it looks pretty good - but how will Chrysler sell this once the new Buick Enclave comes out? They had better sell as many as they can in the next 12 months... because once the Enclave arrives the lights will be out for the Aspen.
  12. I think this will be a huge success and may finally stand alone as the most user friendly high powered long wheelbase flagship. My aunt drives and LS430 and loves it. It is by far the nicest car I have ever been in. But GM fans take heart. If Buick is going to rise to the level of the Enclave - what must GM have planned for the next CTS, STS and upcoming ULS? It must be absolutely amazing. Remember, the DTS is a stop gap vehicle to appeal to the dying group of cadillac buyers who still want a FWD cadillac. The ULS will be the new flagship. I trust GM to do what is right... just look at the Enclave. Every product they bring out is better than the previous ones - regardless of brand. I love this car and trust that it will prompt GM to follow with Cadillac.
  13. I just saw the pictures at Autoblog and noticed that it even has power telescoping and tilting stearing wheel. One of those fine details that has in the past been left off of some of GM's luxury offerings. It is nice to see it made the cut.
  14. With every new picture I see - I am more and more impressed. To think that there will be another engine offered in the future - a 4.7L V8?!!! Buick has the vehicle that will make salesman of the Cadillac SRX run scared. I hope that Cadillac has something planned for the SRX so it can stay a notch up above this awesome vehicle. Way to go Buick. This kills everything out there from Lexus and Acura. Honestly - the designers over at Toyota and Honda who self righteously think they are the only ones with talent have to be shocked. When you combine the increase quality ratings from Buick with this type of design and packaging - it spells trouble for Lexus and Acura in this segment. I am once again very proud to be a GM fan.
  15. If 70% of this makes it to production then Buick is headed for an unbelievable makeover and sales success than anyone ever imagined. I wish I owned GM stock right now. Ah-Ha has been saying all along that the interiors of the Lamda's were incredible - he was right. I have high hopes for GM right now. If the outlook has half the interior of this - then Saturn too is in for a huge sales increase. I guess GM has learned from their mistakes with the Epsilon cars and the STS. They tried to be good - but not the best. It is obvious that GM is now trying to be the best. The Tahoe, Denali, Escalade and now the Enclave prove that GM is on its way to a big comeback. For once the cars they promised are now starting to appear. It is hard to belive that the Enclave will replace the Terazza and the Rendevouz. Those two vehicles are an absolute joke compared to this. GM is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  16. In the most recent issue of Car and Driver the complain that the new Tahoe gets poor gas mileage yet it is best of all current full size SUVs. People don't buy SUV's to save gas - this is a terrible shortcoming. If the next Malibu gets poor fuel economy - then it is a real issue. Not in the new Tahoe or this SS.
  17. I am most curious about the Lambdas as the Saturn is likely to be my next vehicle. I was really hoping for something other than the 5.3L. I know it is reliable and gets good mileage - but the Saturn and Buick need a more "high class" option. Oh well - if they bring the V8 they will be the only manufacturer to offer a V8 in a crossover. I can't wait to find out the specifics.
  18. Agreed, production ready concepts are far better than concepts that are so unrealistic the only purpose they serve is to make the cover of a magazine... Cadillac 16 anyone? I just hope that we see some vehicles to get excited about and not stuff like these two Hummers. Vehicles that I am looking for: GMT-900 Trucks Lamdas Saturn Aura Cadillac CTS
  19. Ah-ha or mphmag, Are we really going to be impressed with the upcoming auto shows? We already know about the GMT-900 SUVs - how about the trucks - will they disapoint? How about the Lambda's. I really have my eye on a new Outlook - I don't want to be disapointed... What show will the Outlook debut at?
  20. Josh - did you know these would be just trim packages? Unbelievable.
  21. Even though I am a fan - I am beginning to get tired of the wait till next year approach. These should have been just introduced with little fan fare so as to not build up expectations. GM - have you heard of the expression "under sell - over deliver" ? This would do wonders for every product line.
  22. Unbelievable. These are trim packages that the marketing department thought up... not a new introduction. GM - are you listening? Your fans are starting to get frustrated - what must your critics be thinking? Enough of getting our hopes up for just another trim level. If you are going to introduce something - then you had better knock our socks off.
  23. Ok GM - this is getting depressing. You had us up for this? Good night.
  24. Ok?
  25. Just five more minutes.
