GM @ SEMA Buick Enclave Uptown Edition For release: Oct. 30, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EDT “Uptown.” The phrase conjures images of sophisticated luxury – timeless elegance with a flavor for the avant-garde. It is fine furnishings and the latest electronics, cool jazz with an equal dose of hot salsa. It’s the blending of two colors to create a distinctive new shade. That’s the premise behind the Buick Enclave UpTown being introduced at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. It was created by Rick Bottom Designs of Mendota, Ill. The literal representation of Buick Enclave UpTown’s Ying and Yang is the two-tone paint theme – White Chocolate Pearl on top and Cocoa Metallic on the bottom. The paint is separated and accentuated by the discriminating use of custom chrome trim – the latter complementing the chrome trim found on production Enclaves, including on the front and rear bumper fascias, the grille surround and the renowned portholes. The Enclave Uptown is instantly noticed thanks to its production chrome vertical waterfall grille and Buick tri-shield. Proving that a luxury crossover can be sporty, Enclave UpTown has been lowered two inches in the front, three inches in the rear and outfitted with 22-inch MOMO wheels and Pirelli tires. The result is a ground-hugging athletic appearance. Enter Enclave UpTown via the genuine Buick Accessories molded assist steps to take in unparalleled entertainment. Buick’s QuietTuning does its best to contain a 2,000-watt Eclipse audio, video and navigation system that pumps out sound through 12 speakers, including two 12-inch subwoofers. To help ensure that the sound stays mainly within the vehicle, Enclave UpTown features additional Hushmat sound-damping material. Bluetooth technology, meanwhile, enables the driver and passengers to stay connected to their world while enjoying Enclave’s high level of luxury and comfort – reflected in the handsome Cashmere leather upholstery and Warm Camphor Burl wood trim. Premium floor mats complete the equipment upgrade. Exterior • BASF/Glasurit White Chocolate Pearl and Cocoa Metallic exterior paint • Genuine Buick Accessories molded assist steps and premium floor mats • Custom chrome trim by Rick Bottom Designs • Wheels: MOMO 22-inch x 9-inch • Tires: Pirelli P275/45ZR22 Interior • Eclipse audio, video and navigation system o Two-thousand watts o Twelve speakers o XM Satellite Radio o CD Player o iPod connectivity o Bluetooth technology • Hushmat sound-damping material Underbody • Gravana lowering springs by H&R – two inches, front; three inches, rear

GM @ SEMA Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition For release: Oct. 30, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EDT From a tenacious player on the basketball court to a respected automotive stylist off, nine-year NBA veteran Jerome Williams puts the same resolve into vehicle customization as he did on the hardwood. Williams and his company, Automotive Street Style, have teamed up with Buick to create a vehicle that appeals to today’s urban influencers. The result is a luxury crossover that Williams has dubbed the “Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition.” It was revealed at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. “Buick is all about style, elegance, luxury and refinement. Those attributes are perfectly represented in Enclave. With the Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition, our goal was to accentuate those qualities while creating a vehicle that befits an urban CEO,” said Jerome “Junk Yard Dog” Williams. The Buick Urban CEO Edition represents the first vehicle collaboration between the NBA veteran and General Motors. The 2008 Buick Enclave lends itself to high-end customization by delivering high-fashion design, luxurious interior comfort and a smooth, quiet ride. “Buick’s resurgence is apparent in its current vehicles: LaCrosse, Lucerne and Enclave; it’s a brand with a historically strong appeal in the urban market. Our Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition takes Enclave’s already stellar level of luxury and style and raises it another level. It’s a slam dunk for urban CEOs, athletes and even soccer moms,” Williams said. Outside, the Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition is draped in a rich White Opal paint for a clean, monochromatic appearance. Up front, the grille features a floating Buick emblem. In back, the bumper has been streamlined for a more aerodynamic appearance. This special-edition Enclave rides on 24-inch custom Giovanna Canelli chrome wheels outfitted with matching-size Pirelli tires. Inside, Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition lets CEOs work and entertain in luxurious comfort and style. For influencers on the go, productivity is enhanced with a wireless Internet connection, the result of a satellite dish embedded into the vehicle’s roof. Its integration enables Enclave to retain its aerodynamic shape without impeding interior roominess. The wireless connection allows passengers to surf the information highway while traveling on the asphalt ribbon. Inside, the Buick Enclave CEO Edition treats all passengers like heads of corporations. Each of the four rear passengers can choose his or her entertainment medium: DVD, Blu-ray disc, programs downloaded from the Internet, or Internet connection. The video is played on four, 10-inch widescreen monitors integrated into the headrest bolsters of the front and middle-row seats. The sound is piped through four four-channel digital headphones; it can also be played through the vehicle’s sound system – for those rare occasions when all agree on what to view. Buick Enclave CEO Edition doesn’t exclude the front passenger; a seven-inch widescreen monitor is incorporated into the back of the visor. All passengers – including the driver – are rewarded with sumptuous Dark Chocolate leather for an ultra-luxurious experience. To further accentuate the limo-like ride of this vehicle, white LED accent lights are integrated into the A- and B-pillars. Exterior • Satellite dish embedded in roof • White Opal paint • Monochromatic appearance • “Floating” Buick emblem in grille • Streamlined rear bumper • Pirelli tires: P274/35R24 • Giovanna Canelli Custom Wheels: 24- x 10-inch front and rear Interior • Full-length center console • Suede-like Dark Chocolate seat covers and door panels • LED accent lighting in A- and B-pillars Audio • Icon Tech video equipment with four, 10-inch VGA/LCD monitors • Four, four-source digital headphones

GM @ SEMA Buick Enclave Black Platinum Edition For release: Oct. 30, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EDT Platinum’s rarity has long made it the metal of choice for nobility and the affluent – more so than gold. Black, meanwhile, has traditionally been associated with refinement … a confident elegance, demonstrated by the black tuxedo, black dress or color-of-choice for luxury vehicles. Black and platinum merge seamlessly in the Buick Enclave Black Platinum Edition. Created by Mitek Corporation of Phoenix, Ariz., Buick Enclave Black Platinum Edition is being introduced at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. This custom Enclave is a head-turner. Its House of Kolor Black Diamond custom paint glimmers and appears to change hue depending on the viewer’s angle: black, blue or purple. Your eyes run effortlessly down the vehicle’s profile, which is accentuated by darkened windows and doors without handles. Custom 20-inch TIS chrome wheels equipped with 20-inch Toyo Proxes tires and custom springs – which lower the vehicle height by two inches – combine to create a pavement-hugging, ready-to-pounce appearance. Up front, Buick Enclave Black Platinum Edition wears the new face of production Enclaves, a vertical chrome waterfall grille. One press of the Enclave Black Platinum Edition’s key fob opens the doors, revealing an interior swathed in Deep Blue leather. The seat inserts in all four captains chairs and the third-row bench – as well as the headliner and the visors – feature this luxurious leather. The exterior paint theme is duplicated in the interior trim panels, and polished custom billet aluminum inserts have been added to the door panels to complement the famous Buick fender trim. All of the speakers feature polished custom billet aluminum trim rings to further accentuate the chrome trim package. The result is a harmonious balance between the vehicle’s interior and exterior. While understated elegance embodies the interior and exterior designs of the Buick Enclave Platinum Edition, its sound system is not afraid to pump out wattage. Crank up the volume of the custom MTX audio system to experience 4,900 watts of peak power delivered through 13 speakers, including three 12-inch subwoofers that are housed within custom-made and custom-painted fiberglass enclosures. Enclave Black Platinum Edition also features three-way speakers in the front doors, two-way speakers in the rear doors and two amplifiers. Naturally, a sound system this great can best be appreciated while listening to favorite music, such as that stored on an iPod. Enclave Black Platinum Edition has you covered there, too, thanks to the Avstarr integration device from Civita Technologies. It allows drivers and front passengers to control the iPod’s song list through the vehicle’s audio controls, for safer and more convenient listening pleasure. GM @ SEMA Jay Leno E85 C6RS Corvette GREEN AND MEAN: JAY LENO’S E85-CAPABLE Z06-INSPIRED C6RS CORVETTE BOASTS 600 HP AND ALTERNATIVE-FUEL CAPABILITY For release: Oct. 29, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EDT LAS VEGAS – “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno’s predilection for performance cars is no secret, but many fellow enthusiasts may not know that he is keenly interested in alternative fuels. To prove that red-blooded power mixes easily with a touch of green, Leno partnered with Pratt & Miller – the engineering company that builds and campaigns C6.R Corvettes – to develop a modified Corvette Z06 that is capable of running on E85 ethanol. It was unveiled at the 2007 SEMA Show. More than merely a conversion of the stock LS7 engine to E85 capability, Leno’s alternative-fuel supercar is powered by a custom, 8.2L (500-cubic-inch) all-aluminum small-block V-8 that pumps out approximately 600 horsepower and 585 lb.-ft. of torque. “The C6RS is the result of an idea we hatched to prove that high-performance cars and alternative fuel technology weren’t diametrically opposed concepts,” said Leno. “I love the idea of having 600 horsepower at my disposal, but using a homegrown alternative to gasoline.” The engine is built around a custom aluminum cylinder block that was CNC-milled from a single block of billet aluminum. And while the cylinder heads, intake system and dry-sump oiling system are stock LS7 components, the engine – which has larger bore and stroke dimensions than the 7.0L (427-cubic-inch) LS7 – uses a one-off reciprocating assembly, including a forged steel crankshaft, forged rods and forged pistons. Katech Engines, the company that builds engines for the Corvette C6.R racing program, developed the engine. The fuel system and engine control computer were modified to accommodate E85, and spent gases exit through a Corsa exhaust system. Supporting the 600-horse engine’s power is a blueprinted and strengthened T-56 six-speed transmission and a high-performance Centerforce dual-friction clutch. C6.R inspiration On the outside, Leno’s bad and black C6RS emulates the styling of C6.R racecars, with wider front and rear fenders and a wider rear fascia with an integrated spoiler on top and a racing-style diffuser at the bottom (the diffuser incorporates an LED-lit backup lamp). A C6.R-style waterfall hood front fender louvers, rockers and lower grille opening further define this special Corvette – and all of the car’s front-end panels are made of carbon-fiber, including custom brake air ducts routed through the front fenders. With all of its body modifications, Leno’s C6RS is 1.6 inches wider than stock. The C6.R’s – and production Corvette’s – aerodynamically styled bodywork is designed to slice efficiently through the wind, which helps enhance fuel mileage. The race-ready look of the car is enhanced with a quartet of BBS wheels that feature racing-type locking center hubs. The forged aluminum 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch rear wheels ride on Michelin P295/30ZR18 and P345/30ZR19 tires, respectively. Adding authenticity to the car’s custom bodywork was the involvement of Pratt & Miller. The company took on the task of crafting Leno’s Corvette into a street-going replica of the racecars, which included installing or fabricating a host of unique components, including: • A custom DeWitt high-capacity radiator with dual cooling fans • A carbon-fiber ram-air induction system • Carbon-fiber inner fender panels that vent hot air from the engine compartment • Brembo brakes with six-piston mono-block calipers in front and four-piston rear calipers • Dyna-Mat used throughout the cabin and chassis to reduce interior noise While the exterior and drivetrain were inspired by the racetrack, the C6RS’s cabin exudes luxury, with premium touches and enhancements from Genuine Corvette Accessories that include a two-tone shift knob and boot; leather-covered console armrest, parking brake handle and boot; an interior trim kit, racing-style pedal covers and more. With its 600 horses on tap and domestically produced E85 fuel in the tank, Jay Leno’s alternative-fueled C6RS is an all-American supercar that proves high performance and environmental consciousness go together like the Corvette and checkered flags.

GM @ SEMA FlexFuel Chevy Hot Rod FLEXFUEL CHEVY HOT ROD DEMONSTRATES VINTAGE STYLE AND MODERN ALTERNATIVE-FUEL PERFORMANCE For release: Oct. 29, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EDT With a 500-horsepower engine, a channeled body and a chopped top, GM’s custom street rod looks right at home on the salt flats of Bonneville. But instead of a traditional gasoline V-8, this ’34 Chevy replica rod sports a turbocharged 2.0L Ecotec engine that runs on E85 ethanol. Appropriately, it has been dubbed the FlexFuel Chevy Hot Rod. “Since the 1930's, hot rods have embodied American ingenuity, aesthetic flair and the quest for performance," said Bryan Nesbitt, vice-president of General Motors North American Design. "The ethanol Hot Rod is a modern statement that today's hot rodder can address energy concerns about the consumption of petroleum without sacrificing performance or style.” The car’s low-slung stance and stripped-down essence suggests track cars and speed racers of the late 1940s and early 1950s. Open hood sides reveal the high-powered Ecotec engine, which has been pumped up with the help of GM Performance Parts’ Stage III performance kit and a larger turbo. The higher octane of E85 enabled engineers to tune the engine for more power. It is backed by a GM Powertrain 5L40 five-speed automatic transmission. “The engine was built using the basic recipe that is available in the Ecotec performance book available from GM Performance Parts,” said Al Oppenheiser, GM Performance Division director of concept and vehicle integration. “Also, the E85 conversion is based on a kit that GM is exploring for regular production engines.” True hot rod aesthetic Like hot rods built for the last 60 years, the FlexFuel Hot Rod is built from an assemblage of factory and aftermarket parts. The frame and body are based on the 1934 Chevy, but both were fabricated by the craftsmen at the GM Performance Division (GMPD). The body has been sectioned and channeled to give the car its true hot rod aesthetic, while the frame is a one-off piece designed, engineered and built by GMPD. The slanted grille – with a unique chrome mesh pattern – and hood are integrated for a smoother look, which includes a sun visor characteristic of period hot rod racers. Like any good rod worth its salt, there are no fenders or running boards; the 10-inch headlamps are mounted to the core support. The front suspension is all custom-built, complete with period-perfect lightening holes drilled in it. A sturdy 8-3/8-inch Winters Quick-change rearend is suspended by a parallel four-link suspension. It is filled with 5.20 gears, which are used to generate brisk acceleration with 35-inch-tall, racing-type Excelsior rear tires and 29-inch-tall front tires. The tires are mounted on custom 18-inch front and 20-inch rear “kidney bean”-style wheels from Budnik. Steering comes from a custom-fabricated linkage that is connected to a reversed Corvair steering box. The linkage is mounted to the outside of the frame rail. Hand-crafted cabin Inside, the FlexFuel Hot Rod maintains its racing-inspired minimalist theme, but with contemporary feel. Hand-formed sheet metal and earth-friendly materials were used to trim the cabin, as well as the racing-style aluminum seats. The dashboard was hand-finished, too, and filled with traditional-looking Stewart-Warner gauges. One of the interior’s central points of interest is the racing-style driveshaft tube, which covers the custom driveshaft. It is a prominent fixture in the cabin because the body has been lowered around the chassis to achieve the streamlined appearance that was characteristic of old-school hot rods. Road ready More than just a conceptualized vision of an alternative-fuel street rod, the FlexFuel Hot Rod is a driver that GM Performance Division will press into service for a number of road events and tests. “This thing is going to rack up a lot of miles,” said Oppenheiser. “With the FlexFuel conversion, it can run purely on E85, gasoline or any combination of the two. That means it can be refueled anywhere the road takes it.”

GM @ SEMA Chevy HHR Panel SS Concept CHEVY HHR PANEL SS CONCEPT PREVIEWS LIMITED-EDITION PRODUCTION MODEL At the 2007 SEMA Show, Chevrolet revealed the HHR Panel SS – a customized vision that previews a forthcoming production model differing only slightly from the stylized SEMA concept. The Panel SS fuses the production HHR SS’s turbocharged powertrain and race track-bred suspension with the unique HHR Panel body style. “It was natural that our designers and engineers brought up the ‘what if’ question when it came to the HHR SS and the HHR Panel,” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. “They were given the nod to pursue it and we think the result is fun and exciting; it amplifies the very best attributes that have made the HHR so popular with customers.” The HHR Panel SS concept combines production components with custom details. And while the concept vehicle will be shown at events around the country, the HHR Panel SS limited-edition production model will be offered at Chevy dealers starting in the 2009 model year. The underpinnings and powertain of the HHR Panel SS concept include the production turbocharged and intercooled 2.0L Ecotec engine that produces 260 horsepower (194 kW), unique exterior styling and an SS-specific interior. The exterior details include production SS front and rear fascias, rocker panels, a modified SS front grille and an SS rear spoiler. It also features polished metal body side trim and 20-inch wheels that are unique to the concept vehicle, while a “suede” paint scheme has a satin appearance that recalls classic hot rods. Inside, SS-embroidered sport seats – with suede-like Ultra Lux inserts – a new gauge cluster with 140-mph speedometer, an A-pillar boost gauge and a new, driver-oriented steering wheel support the vehicle’s performance capability. The cargo area – there is no rear seat – has been customized with billet aluminum tie-downs, floor strips and load brackets. Underneath, a tuned suspension based on the production SS’s FE5 Sport suspension enables sharp ride and handling, but was modified slightly for the SEMA concept vehicle to accommodate the larger-than-production 20-inch wheels and tires. The FE5 suspension was developed and tuned at Germany’s famed Nürburgring racing circuit and includes specific stabilizer bars, spring rates and damper tuning – all designed to complement the turbocharged powertrain. Along with its high-performance attributes, the HHR SS is equipped with a host of safety and convenience features, including the StabiliTrak vehicle stability control system and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
