  1. This is a good move in the right direction. But everything will take time to develop. Hopefully, things will fully materialize by the end of 2016.
  2. Twice the mediocrity at twice the price - an equation for failure.
  3. In this day and age, they need to make a global case for manufacturing anything like this. Especially if it will not (at this time) be built on any other current platform.
  4. 240 hp in this car will still make a 0-60 time in 5.5 seconds. This may not be 911 performance. But it is an entry level car for people to aspire purchasing a better Porsche later.
  5. I guess this means that they will "double-down" on their sales numbers.
  6. Of course, the fuel economy standards will also dictate the direction of this development.
  7. Does GM focus on Front Wheel Drive CUVs or Rear Wheel Drive SUVs; That is the question.
  8. That still looks like a truck.
  9. It's a cost-cutting move. The chrome costs more than the plastic and paint on the new nose. Ford has its distinct chrome grille and Dodge has its distinct chrome grille which makes their trucks be trucks. This new front end makes the Silverado no different than a Malibu.
  10. But I like the "old" chrome grille. It reminds me of the late '70s/early '80s trucks. This is too subdued.
  11. I guess my underlying point when it comes to anything Toyota is - WHERE IS THE SUPRA!!??!! The rumor mill for the statement below has been going on for three years; Alfa is FINALLY coming back to the U.S. = Toyota is FINALLY bringing back the Supra. Now that the first half is FINALLY true, how much longer do we have to wait for the second half to be a reality?
  12. Why can't the 5.0 V8 version be the Supra and have Lexus get the hybrid and 600 hp engine?
  13. So by 2017, these cars will actually be available at a "reasonable" price and not be gouged by dealer mark ups and auction frenzy?
  14. Well, Lexus is supposed to be the Japanese version of Buick.
  15. This engine may also be an indication for what might be powering the potential return of the Dino.
  16. That has a more aggressive look than the outgoing 5th gen car. I like this a lot.
  17. Ciao Bella! Now if Alfa can get Sophia Loren to do the commercials....
  18. GM got rid of Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, Hummer, and Saab in the six years before filing bankruptcy. Now FCA wants to merge with GM. If ANY deal goes through, then how will the brands be positioned? Chrysler = Oldsmobile? Dodge = Pontiac? Jeep = Hummer? Fiat = Saturn? Alfa Romeo = Saab?
  19. 1. Lambo has already done the SUV 2. This will be built on the same platform as the VW Tourreg/AudiQ7/Bentley Arrow/Porsche Cayanne (which will dilute the Lambo's exclusivity) 3. I hope to GOD that Ferrari does not follow suit with a competitor.
  20. Imagine how many more they can sell with a single cab/short be model with a 3.6l V6 and a six-speed manual.
  21. Wasn't it Nissan's tag line 15 years ago, "Enjoy the ride"? There is very little to enjoy in the auto industry these days. These cars would have made an interesting business case to say the least.
  22. You need to give credit to Nissan for at least trying it out. I am still waiting for a new Supra from Toyota. If I was told to drive one either this or the Mini Cooper, then I would rather have driven one of these things instead of a Mini Cooper.
