  1. Regardless of platform, the 6th generation Camaro will have a much better interior and features.
  2. Why would someone buy this car? If a Camaro SS it at the same price point with a bigger engine, then what other features does the ATS have to offer that would be better? I ask out of concern for the ATS. Will there be a V-Series edition with the 3.6l V6 TT with 420 hp at $45K?
  3. "Buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission." I hope the same can be done for the 2015 model with the 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic.
  4. That is going to be one wicked-looking cop car when it is painted all black.
  5. If there was ever an opportunity to bring back Pontiac, this could be it. Wasn't it Bob Lutz's goal to make Pontiac a completely RWD, performance oriented line-up?
  6. If the CTS-V has the same drivetrain as the ZO6, then there should be an 8-speed automatic and a 7-speed manual transmission. As far as output goes, it should be less than the Corvette ZO6 but not less than 600 hp.
  7. If GM is using the ZO6 powertrain for the CTS-V, then it would help to have the ZO6 on the market first before the CTS-V. I do not think that this has anything to do with the ATS-V. I also do not think that we will have to wait for the 2016 model year to get a CTS-V.
  8. 1. The CTS-V is making a comeback. 2. It will have a V8 engine (supercharged or otherwise). 3. Will it have the 7-speed manual like the Corvette?
  9. Here is a chance for GM and The Velocity Channel to create a TV show based on the efforts to restore some of, or if not all, of the cars.
  10. I hope the Elmiraj Coupe is coming, too. Dan Neil from the Wall Street Journal thought that it was the be concept car at the Detroit Auto Show; BEST CONCEPT CAR // Cadillac Elmiraj Breathing a louche, incorrigible air all its own was the Cadillac Elmiraj, a superbly rendered vision of a pillarless hardtop coupe that appears to be 80 yards long. This car was at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance last year, but I failed to notice it. On the stand in Detroit, it was captivating, American exceptionalism on four wheels, every bit the aesthetic rival of the Mercedes-Benz's lurid S-class coupe. http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304549504579320783889893014 If the S-Class gets a coupe and sedan, then so should Cadillac.
  11. Wouldn't there also be the push to make Cadillac more distinct from the rest of GM? You want the Camaros and ATS Coupes to be sold well without being seen as the same car if they share the same engines. The Turbo V6 is in the XTS exclusively and the Impala only gets the regular 3.6L V6. The same may apply with the high-performance models of each brand. The ATS-V will get the turbo V6 and the next-gen Camaro will get the LT1.
  12. How about the ATS-V uses the 425hp 3.6L Turbo with the 7-speed manual and the updated CTS-V shares the new ZO6 drivetrain. That will be a big + IMHO.
  13. http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/report-new-toyota-supra-headed-for-detroit-this-january.html/?a=viewall
  14. Will there be a real manual transmission to go with it?
  15. Cheyenne Concept engine and wheels + Tahoe PPV Package = 2015 Tahoe SS PLEASE!!!!
  16. Once the Gov't unloads the last of their shares of GM, wouldn't that give the opportunity to bring Pontiac back?
  17. The front end gets the ciel concept treatment;
  18. Skylark? Special?
  19. The government and the car industry are two trains running at each other on the same track when if comes to CAFE standards. At some point, there will have to be a compromise on the fuel economy expectations. The government cannot legislate technological breakthroughs to make the flux capacitor a reality and the car industry cannot simply be "yes men" to every regulatory mandate. The Big Three are barely recovering from the Recession/Bankruptcy years. The last thing they need to do is go through it again within the next 10 years.
  20. To you both for even thinking of killing off these awesome items. You think anyone on this forum likes such possibilities? This is the way the regulations and the industry is going.
  21. Take your pick; the V8 or the Vette. Either (or both) will sadly be gone soon.
  22. Ferrari is already developing their own hybrid.
  23. "The RC-F Supra will pack a 5.0L V8 with 455 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting duties." Much better edit.
