  1. The guide states "Tapshift manual control with steering wheel mounted paddle controls, statndard on GXP and G6 coupe. included with Sport Package 1 on G6 sedan". The wheel mounted paddles is what is completely new for 2009.5
  2. According to the 2009 order guide the 2009 G6 with this new fascia and rockers for the coupe will begin production in December. It also states the woodgrain inserts are gone from the interior and a new Stereo and HVAC unit is going to be used. This may address some of the gripes regarding the interior. I am also pleased and surprised to read that all models will now have painted outside rearview mirrors. (despite none of the spied vehicles wearing painted mirrors) The taupe interiors now have ebony seat inserts and ebony carpeting on the floor, I also think there is a new rim design. Oh and I almost forgot, the GXP now has Tapshift... I am excited to see these changes but would like one in Bright Red.. maybe there will be new colors in 2010.
  3. I would rather have those "dopey gauges" instead of nothing, So I really hope they are replaced by some analog guages, or something.... not just a hole or compartment. I really dont see what was so bad about them, they may not have been very useful, but in my book, if its red, and it lights up, it cant be that bad..
  4. I think this would be nice with the painted rear view mirrors, dual exhaust and a new interior, since I think this is a 2010 model and they intend to hold it over until Alpha in 2013, they should at least give us a better interior.
  5. How about the fact that the G6 is the only one that comes in a coupe? or a convetible, anybody that ever says a Malibu or Aura is just as good as a G6 obviously doesnt even think of or care about a 2 door coupe. I will never buy a sedan and if it were up to you guys... you wanna kill the only brand making a coupe....
  6. My choices, Trans Sport Grand Camino Unfortunately Torrent, has been used, would have been a cool name for this, or even instead of GTO, Torrent would make a powerful name for a G8 coupe or sports car. Now its pretty much unusable. I also prefered Pursuit to G5, but I digress....
  7. Looks to have new rims, that is needed. Good Find, very happy to see the first real pic of this car, since I have been waiting since 2002...I hope at the show, we are able to see it with the top on and off.... now I am going to light a candle for the G8 coupe...
  8. I'm posting the pic again since it disappeared during the site's downtime....
  9. I actually prefer the current GXP fascia to the 290, it almost looks like they are trying to make the car more square, I don't see it as an improvement...
  10. Here is a hand drawn attept at what it may look like...
  11. The car's tagline could be " The G8 that really Hauls" or "Hauls more than cargo"
  12. I think that is good, I was also partial to the name Trans Sport, always thought that was the coolest van name.
  13. I read this and was very pleased with the outcome, to loosely quote the end of the article it said somthing like "from across the parking lot, the G6 is the one you wanted to walk to.." makes me happy anytme Pontiac can be in the number one spot.
  14. Maybe your closer to the grave than Pontiac, I think young people will appreciate the design, even if you dont. You people act like the design doesnt have a flow to it, but it certainly does, the hammerhead spoiler that people suggest looks tacked on follows the line of the entire car. If you dont see that your not really looking. The "Asians" dont have anything that looks this good. They design cars to be boring and appeal to people that are offended by something that stands out from the norm, maybe YOU are part or THAT target audience.... so go be a fan of them if this embarasses you.
  15. Not at all, In fact I generally prefer stock rims. I think the 22 inch rims you usually see on cars are tacky and over-designed. Luckily Pontiac did change the rims on this car to the 5 spoke, cuz the ones on the showcar, (and pictured on the Halo car are nasty), and NOT what are on the actual car.
