    Enclave interior

Aura Concept interior: Aura Production interor: It was 99% production. The differences are the corporate steering wheel, no green gauges/LED displays, chrome dash panels replaced with wood dash panels, non-showcar quality leather, and no center display panel on the dash. Minor stuff, overall. -RBB

  4. Out of curiosity, why would it take nearly 18 months to start importing the car? -RBB
  5. When I was a kid, my mom ran smack into a dresser that had apparently fallen off a truck on the highway. It was late, and pitch black. The guy in front of us swerved, but she didn't see it in time. She was driving an '81 Park Avenue at the time, and besides a broken grille and turn signal, there was no real damage. The dresser was destroyed. -RBB

  7. The G6 GTP has hydraulic steering, but it still draws complaints: C&D 02/06 GTP coupe review - R&T 02/06 Though, on the other hand, R&T added this: Automotive.com I'm hoping for something better than that, like the improvement made to the Delta platform on the Cobalt from what was found with the Ion. -RBB
  8. A friend of a friend runs this shop restoring Pontiacs - mostly Trans Ams or Firebirds. But, this is just beautiful: http://taspecialties.com/87gn.htm Here's what else he's selling now: http://taspecialties.com/stock.htm And what he's already restored/sold: http://taspecialties.com/sold.htm -RBB
  9. Speaking of which, have you replaced the Blazer yet? -RBB
  10. That worries me a bit, as the driving dynamics of the G6 (even the GTP model with hydraulic power steering) have been described as less than inspired. Do you have any idea whether any work was done to improve the numb, disconnected feeling of the Pontiac? -RBB

  12. While they did a fair job of saying they're OK with it, why didn't we see this headline: Acura TSX proves badge engineering alive in USA Acura CSX proves badge engineering alive in Canada Scion xB proves badge engineering alive in USA Toyota Cavalier proves badge engineering alive in Japan -RBB
  13. Wouldn't that be CLEVUT? Cool car, nonetheless. First thing it reminded me of was the Pulse: I wonder what kind of amenities (AC, a decent radio, etc) it comes with. -RBB

    F*ck.

As a Blues fan, let me say that was the highlight of our season. -RBB
  16. Mazerati Quatroporte BMW 6 series convertible Saw my first GMT900 'burban at a dealer a few days ago. A GMT800 Escalade ESV - on it's roof on the side of the highway. -RBB
  17. http://auto.consumerguide.com/Auto/Used/re...carreviewspecs/ The Astro/Safari twins were powered exclusively by the 4.3L V6 throughout their run. 2005 GMC Safari: Length - 176.8 or 186.8" Width - 77" Wheelbase - 111" Curb Weight - 3960-4068 lbs. 2007 Saturn Outlook: Length - 200.7" Width - 78.2" Wheelbase - 118.9" Curb Weight - 4722-4936 lbs. 2006 Honda Oddysey: Length - 201" Width - 77.1" Wheelbase - 118.1" Curb Weight - 4378-4655 lbs. I don't expect the Lambda minivans to have the exact same dimensions as the the crossovers, but they should be in the same ballbark. The Oddysey minivan is bigger than the Safari "full-size" van. -RBB
  18. With all the commotion regarding the wheels, I found this interesting: http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/NASApp/domestic/...s&page=&butID=4 Wheels, 18" (45.7 cm) multi-spoke ultra-bright alloy Wheels, 17" (43.2 cm) fascia spoke with five-spoke trim Wheels, 17" (43.2 cm) twin-spoke machined alloy I do like the last one... -RBB

  22. Why the suprise over the curb weight? All the Epsilons have been porkers. -RBB
  23. Anyone know the major differences between this and the 2.0L DI Turbo engine offered by Audi/VW? What did GM do to get 60 more HP? This appears to be a phenominal engine. I wonder if it's prohibitively expensive to produce, or if there are limits to the number of engines that could be made. This would be a great engine to offer across the board at GM - it's sophisticated and offers the better numbers than the 3.9L HF engine. Imagine a G6, Pursuit, a Malibu SS, or even the Aura and VUE with this engine. Would that make monetary sense? -RBB
