  1. I traded mine in for my wife's '06 GTO, it was a lot of fun:
  2. I had a '99 Z28 that I really enjoyed, great cars. Lots of fun drifting it around corners.
  3. Come on guy, you're on a GM site, you should know how to spell Camaro.
  4. I agree that the Honda lawnmower commercial is good.
  5. Can we move the G8 to Chevy? Call it either the Caprice or Impala?
  6. This should make for an interesting spring and summer.
  7. flow data is on the website for the heads: http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?i...93&catid=40
  8. I had my C5 dyno'd at Texas-Speed today, the service was excellent, as always. The TSP crew really helped me out and went the extra mile to make sure my car was running at its best. Modifications: PRC 215 heads MS4 Cam LS6 intake manifold TSP 1.75" longtube headers w/ x-pipe underdrive pulley Textralia clutch and flywheel RPM differential with 3.90 gears Results: There was absolutely no 'special dyno treatment' for my car. There were no tricks used here, no icing of the intake manifold, no octane booster, just strapping the car down with pump gas (91 octane) and making some pulls. The intake manifold and throttle body are the next things that need changed, apparently this is all the power you can make with an ls6 unit. Driveability is much improved, and mid-range torque is way better. Now I need to do a pull with the nitrous turned on.
  9. It's tough to compare a used BMW with 60,000 miles to a brand new Cobalt Turbo. Is the warranty on the BMW a factory warranty or 3rd party warranty? The BMW is a sedan compared to the Cobalt being a coupe. I'm guessing that the Cobalt Turbo if faster than the BMW 330, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I would go for the Cobalt.
  10. The G8 is the only Pontiac I would buy. If Pontiac goes under, I would hope GM would re-badge it as a Impala or Caprice or something.
  11. How much longer are we going to drag out this gay marriage issue? Just legalize it already, it's only a matter of time. As a member of generation Y, I can tell you that young people don't mind if same-sex couples get married.
  12. Considering the source, that's a nice review.
  13. Do you know the maximum number of cars that Oshawa can produce per day? Are they running at full capacity right now?
  14. Are you serious? Manufacturing is so rigid that they can't build a 4 door version at the same factory as the 2 door variety of a front-engine, rear-wheel drive car? I knew that there were manufacturing problems with GM, but that is pathetic.
  15. They can't build this next to the Camaro?
  16. At this point, does it matter?
  17. Just bring it over and keep the Caprice name. Would certainly give Dodge a run for their money for law enforcement sales.
  18. 147? MPH? Holy $h!! I like to go fast as much as the next guy, but that is unsafe on a public road. Post a copy of the ticket.
  19. I'm still skeptical on this, but Car and Driver is a legit source: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_li...nascar_car_news
  20. scam
  21. I think the video of that guy going "wooo woooo" is atleast a couple of years old.
  22. As a 25 year old, I can confirm that you are on to something. Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura have developed a nice reputation as the vehicle of choice for the 50+ crowd. For the 18-30 crowd, we see the brands differently than an older demographic. I work with a bunch of young Soldiers, and I can tell you that domestics are offering quite a few 'cool' cars. Mustang, Charger, Camaro, CTS, Cobalt/HHR Turbo, Challenger are all very well perceived by people my age.
  23. Great column, couldn't have said it better myself.
