  1. Actually, I respect Canadian Driver the most. They seem fair in their reviews, with Imports and Domestics. You guys are bitter over any reviewers who don't praise GM vehicles. Don't think like that. Like this review for example, they tell it how it is: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/mc/08silverado.htm
  2. http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/08sorento.htm http://www.canadiandriver.com/galleries/20...album&id=58
  3. Used to be, until they built the plant, as I read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poletown
  4. Yeah, there was I think, or they fixed the recall while doing warranty work.
  5. Yeah the 6 speed automatic staying in 2nd gear in the early models, remember? There was months, and months, of bashing on this board over it.
  6. Looks just as boxy as new Chrysler Minivans...
  7. Costs too much money...
  8. I apologize for that comment to you. I said that out of sarcasm because you made it sound like a guy who never drove stick, and tried to justify that "Oh, noone drives stick anyways" type of excuse if you know what I mean. I had an argument with someone who claimed he was a car guy, and tried to argue that driving automatic is better and faster than stick, meanwhile this guy never drove stick in his life. There is a saying, once you go manual you never go back. I wish we had a market like in Europe in terms of cars having a manual option, eventhough only like 5% of the population buy stick, it is much different here in Canada, at least in French-Canada. I was told that if you wanna find a rare 5 speed car, go shopping in Quebec for one. I'm 24 years old, and I've owned five cars already, and all of them have been manual. It's funny because, I'm the kind of guy that can't drive anything else, if I drive auto, then I'm searching for the clutch out of instinct half the time, lol. I dunno, I think when I set up a family, I will custom order a minivan with manual, if it can be done
  9. Sure anything that says GM on it, just for you!
  10. I guess you don't drive manual.
  11. LOL, Bruce Willis is narrow minded because he probably doesn't know how to drive a real transmission (i mean manual), so he comes out with an explanation to defend Chrysler's decision for releasing an auto-only sport's car. To me, Automatic is like riding a bike with four wheels. And as for Camino's opinion, it's not because Americans are lazy, it's because Automatic is a more popular choice than manual is. Automatic transmissions were offered since the 50's in most average family cars, and driving with it, has been passed down generation to generation. I Europe, there were no big boats like we had here in North America. Cars need to be simpler, more fuel efficient, and much smaller. It's just two different cultures adopting to two different ways of driving. BTW, automatics are gaining popularity in Asia, and in some parts of Europe, however, manual seems like a popular choice.
  12. We have both MKV's and MK4's. I always perferred the MK4's over the bloaded MKV's!
  13. Agreed!!
  14. Okay, we havn't even seen the production Camaro, so don't pre-judge.

  16. Well it's working, the City Jetta was released last year, and it sold very well. I got to sit in a nice red one with all the options except for automatic, and the total price was a little under 21k. That's pretty good for a car that still feels fresh, even since the redesign. It feels more expenseve than it's competition on the interior, especially when they updated the seat fabric, and now you get a 6 speed tipronic automatic. They won't beat Toyota, unless if they introduce some SKoda or Seat models worldwide, but even then, they will probably come in third or second.
  17. I guess GM is paying up more $$ than Toyota is
  18. Then I am wrong, and you are right. Take your head out of you ass, I was there first hand, and many know I am extremely critical of car interiors. A car's interior represents the amount of care and money which was placed into production and quality of the vehicle. You know there are other companies who make cars besides GM. For a company which has been the largest for many generations, it is unacceptable to be bean counting on flimsy quality, especailly with the threat of being taken over in the auto market by the Asians. Time to learn from the Japanese, and spend a little more money in order to make money in the LONG-RUN! Not Quarter-yearly profits. Blaming the UAW is a really bad excuse for cutting back on production costs into making a decent interior.
  19. What the hell are you talking about? "YUCK"??? This thing is so heavily camo ed that I can't even tell anything. "Yup, it's a Honda car, Must be and Will be ugly"
  20. http://www.vw.ca/vwca/models/0,,143,00.html updated web page
  21. Couldn't they do this in the beginning? They need a Manual option, something they're lacking.
  22. I remember it being a 6
  23. Thank you At least we're reasonable.
  24. The Optra is a piece of $h!, it's essentially a re-badged Nubira, and I worked at a Daewoo warranty dealership in Mississauga and those things came in all the time with blown transmissions, blown headgaskets, and snapped timing belts with bent valves because the pully was designed incorrectly. I understand the Jettas had their share of electrical problems when they first came out, but come on? Where the hell did you get 23K???? The fully opted out one is that much.
