    camry craze

HeHe... I see what you're getting at, I was up north with my buddy on the weekend and he told me he was renting a car last year for the may 2-4 long weekend. He is not a car guy at all, and is very neutral about cars. He said he wanted a car with the most room, so they gave him a Grand Am, an Impala, and a Camry. He said as soon as he sat in the Camry, he told the rental agency he was taking the Camry (this is after sitting in all three) So the Camry does have something about it, the level of comfort, the room, and the sitting and driving positions that does appeal to people, even who know nothing about cars.

At the beginning maybe, but the Altima will have it's 15 minutes of fame like it's predicessor. The Camry has been selling well since 1997.

Ya, I don't see Malibus selling that well (it's suppose to be such an amazing car according to many here). And it's not anti-American propeganda, because I see many Fusions likewise many new Camrys on the road here in Toronto.
  4. YES!!! you got it exactly on the money...!
  5. oh shut up!
  6. No of course not, it's all based on looks with some people...
  7. It's quick, and the all wheel drive makes you feel like you running on four legs when you accelerate. I remember I used to drive a '02 Legacy Outback wagon 5 speed that came in from Montreal at the dealership I worked at as a car jockey/parts driver/customer shuttle drive/detailer... lol
  8. I am guessing it might be the next Corolla, or just a Corolla hatchback that might join the sedan...
  9. I know the Corolla is slow, especially in automatic form, cause I drove more than one. It is BS, but why are you making such a big deal out of this, you don't like it don't read it, are you scared that this article will convert people's purchasing decisions, and turn it away for an Impala, and lure one more person into an import? Come on man, grow up. Oh, and Toyota does not pay reporters to write up good reviews about them, that is something that you and some other people made up on this board as an excuse to justify why the cars you hate are getting such good reviews, because YOU don't agree with them, get over it already, until the domestics begin making BETTER products that the imports, the reviews will not be better that the reviews given for the imports.
  10. Dude, you need to get a life... If you don't like it, pick up a copy of the Globe and Mail Wheels section...
  11. So if everyone around you are such morons, and you are so intelligent. Why don't you take over the auto journalism? To you it's like a sin to write up anything bad about domestics, and anything good about imports.
  12. That's pretty sad that if your own president is saying that...
  13. I know, I see a mini-Maxima on the new Sentra, I like how you guys are so quick to jump and say that all auto makers are copying GM.
  14. I like it, looks Ferrarish, by the way, this car is designed by a Ferrari designer.
  15. It's the new 4-door Wrangler, or here in Canada... the TJ.
  16. What? at least they appologized, if this happened to an American company, they would make up every excuse in the book to get away with it...
  17. It's called a different accent, this is made in England, I bet they laugh at the way you Americans pronounce words... show some respect...
  18. No, that's what YOU want their goal to be, you're living in you own little world... FOG
  19. The entire van is an engineering flaw... it was such a cost-saving redesign job, they basically took the '96 vans and slabbed on a new nose... you should come up here, to Canada and see the short-wheel base ones they sell to us... disgusting!
  20. True, the prev gen Yaris hatch (Echo hatch) was nice, the current one looks like pikachu
  21. Very true, it is a great van though, I use one at work (UPS), it burns very little fuel, probably as much as a 4 cyl car. I like the electrical glitches I get from time to time, however it does handle the daily abuse of a UPS driver.
  22. Ignorant... You've never been there, have you?
  23. Ya, very true, here in Canada, we are missing French cars, I'm sure they would sell well in Quebec I doubt that they would make a splash in the USA. The Americans have a different mentality to buying cars, to them, everything bigger is better. In Canada, people worry about gas prices and high insurance rates.
  24. Ya it's usually the drivers who live in Brampton, you know what kind I'm talking about
