  1. \\and Pontiac wants it's G6 interior back as well. This thing is a mish mash of styles which is to bad because all they had to do was make a smaller version with more of the Murano styling cues. Looks fine in profile but that front end is hideous.
  2. at first glance it reminded me of BMW styling thrown into a little bit of Infinity cues.
  3. Not to mention Mazda
  4. Yes I agree, i somehow forgot the Altima coupe will be a 2+2. Silly me.
  5. OMG that car just topled what ever car had the "ugliest car in the world" trophy.
  6. As well as the San Francisco Bay area where I live. I always thought it was expensive to live out here in the bay Area, but damn I did not know it was that ridiculous. I live 60 miles east of San Francisco and my 2300 sq. ft. house with 3 bedrooms, a studio, 2.5 bathrooms and a 3 car garage is $500,000+ and I don't even live in an exclusive neighborhood. Looks like retirement in 20 years will be out of state! edited for the following: I guess my doctor sister will now want to upgrade her convertible 645 to maintain her good status.
  7. so what will Hyndai do after 2010? Will they reduce the factory warranty? I don't get what is the point of the announcement?
  8. I will second that motion.
  9. Looks good and since I like the G35, then I like this Altima coupe. I wonder what the point is with the 350Z in the lineup, other the the Altima coupe being FWD. Perhaps for those that want the look of the G35 but can't afford one are the intended market. It will interesting too see how the sales will work out and if it cannibalizes sales from both the G35 and 350Z from people who do not know anything about cars ie: FWD vs RWD.
  10. Now that is a great way to introduce yourself. Apology accepted but I think you just discredited yourself and I doubt most people will take you seriously from this point forward. You will see most of us here are open minded when it comes to GM in regards to we know when GM srews up and we ourselves lambast them for it. There are also some import owners who come here and contribute postively and keep things balanced while providing the opposite view. And then there are the usual trolls like evry forum on the net. Welcome aboard...I guess. ;-)
  11. Same reason my wife LIKES her Toyota (oh excuse me, Lexus) and I can't stand that boring drive and I hop into my "rattle bucket white trash Trans Am". I would rather put up up with a few quirks in my car then drive an appliance.
  12. Ahhh...that's more like it.
  13. Thats why I have fun with Prius owners. My lisence plate frame for my 93 Trans Am says "thanks Prius more gas for my V8" and my plate reads "V8XLR8S". I know it is not politically correct, but why not have some fun. And oh, the Trans Am is now an occasional weekend car as I drive the Corolla to the train station for the commute wars. So I am doing my part in conserving fuel. edit: spelling
  14. The last generstion Z was one of the few Japanese cars I liked. In my garage amid all the posters of Trans Ams, Camaros, Vettes are 2 posters of the Twin Turbo 300ZX. The new one pales in comparison and I do not think it will age as well in design.
  15. I liked it in Dragon's photos until I saw the photos in Siegen's link which turned me off. Again I do not like some of the weird angles that the lines seem to take. Clearly I am not a fan of sharp creaes and angles, even the C6 vette borders on this problem. I do like the interior sweep of the dashboard. The gray in the interior does nothing for me and reminds me of GM's grey plastic and "mouse" furs they used in the eighties until recently. I'm sure the interior will look better in the lighter colors.
  16. The front end reminds me of the tc so that is a good family resemblence other then the grill. The interior is nice looking. Oddly enough I like the Yaris better and the Civic is way better looking espeacially the 2 door version. I do not see this "new" Corolla outselling the Civic.
  17. I still think it is ugly, too many wierd angles going in different directions. I hope the Supra will look beetr.
  18. I like to think so but everytime I pick up a Friday paper to read on Amtrak ther eis usually an article that says the domestics are hurting and if it is not in the auto section, it will be in the business section. I grow tired of these articles so Ido not read them all the time. The press can not or does not want to print an atricle that highlights progress for Detroit, I guess that would not sell papers.
  19. It is to be expected froma guy is sign in name is Toyoguy and has a Lexus as his banner. Go back to your Toyota/Lexus forums. My wife drives a Lexus and we have A Corolla that was gieven to my son, but you do not see me trolling on Toyo/Lexus forums. I agree grow up! The T1000 thought not a Tundra was Toyota's attempt at a somewhat full size truck was at best a weal attempt and the execs should have been fored according to your philosphy.
  20. And I as well. It looks like Nissan's Infinity cars. Blows away the Canry and Honda in the styling department.
  21. Someone just hit my wife's Lexus last week and has been in the body shop for about 2 weeks. The other insurance company only allocated $25.00 per day for a rental. We wanted the Caliber that was at Enterprise but someone broke one of the mirrors so they would not let it out. We chose a Cobalt and I will make a report on our 3 weeks with the Cobalt when we get our Lexus back. We really wanted to test the Caliber.
  22. While waiting for a tire repair on my TA at Les Schwaub I glanced at the November issue of Hot Rod. They had an article on the making of the bumble bee Camaro for the TransFormers movie and and article on what options you would like for the Camaro with a form to fill out. Interspersed in the articlw were artist renditions of how the SS might look, some exterior color renditions as well as interior color combinations. It was a very facsinating article.
  23. I agree almost 100 % I always hated when GM or the press labeled Pontiac as a poor mans BMW. It should be and always should have been a sporty American brand with it's own identity. Where I disagree is if I want a larger people mover I like to stay within the brand and maybe that kind of thinking is outdated in todays time. We had a Montanna and the kid and I were happy with it. Unfortuneatly my wife is a realtor and the mini van did not have the correct image and so we traded it in for her Lexus RX300. Everytime we go on a long trip the kids lament about the lack of space and wish we still had the Montanna. To conclude my point, I think it is okay for Pontiac to have one vehicle that meets the people mover moniker, but the rest of the lineup should be sporty. Maybe once the Pontiac image is rehabilitated, then they can dump the people movers( aka, SUV, cross overs, etc) and have four sporty cars like an enrty level car, a 2 seater convertible, a four door sedan, and a GTO/Trans Am type of car.
  24. I understood that part, what I was getting at was that the"if not all compact " could have been left out.
  25. I just finished reading Lutz's book called "Guts" and if I remember correctly, Bob stated thast Chrysler did not lose money on the Neon. The above statement seems to be a blanket statement i regards to the big three.
