Do you REALIZE the amount of fuel that little V8 would use at 7000RPM that it could ONLY REACH with a HORRABLY LOW AXEL RATIO? GAS--HOG---CITY!

  6. Make a COUPE version of the next CTS and restyle it for Pontiac as a 35K 450HP SB V8 powered GTO! Then do a 550HP 45K JUDGE version of it also both with styling like the late 1960's versions but MORE DRAMATIC and MEANER LOOKING!!
  7. So you would want say a future Malibu to have a REDLINE up around 8K RPM with its 3.5L 4VPC DOHC 90 degree V8? To get that kind of POWER for normal driveing it would need a VERY LOW axel ratio like 5.00 to 1 witch KILL FUEL ECONOMY! They would be better off with a OHV 4.5L 2VPC DOD 90 degree V8 tuned like the LS2 with 300HP and 310FT/LB of Torque and a HIGHER axel ratio like 3.00 to 1. But then people would JOKE about GM's V8 getting NO MORE HORSEPOWER then COMPETITERS 3.5L V6's! DONT get me WRONG I would LOVE a V8 in something like the Bu but (V8) has a premium image to it and SHOULD NOT be compairable to V6's when it comes to POWER.
  8. At LEAST its NOT a (BIG) 1/18th scale!--- :o ---THAT would TRUELY be (HORRABLE!) :P As small as it is and with a VERY STEADY paint brush hand that (?COULD?) be OK. :)
  9. A three liter V8 tuned like the NS V8 would put out around 225HP and 220FT/LB of Torque at a like RPM! If thats what you want for GM then you MUST desire their DEATH! :angry: <_< You have made TO MANY good posts in the past to ACTUALLY think THAT Razer! Think about what it is you are saying!! A three and a half liter V8 would put out 255HP and 250HP!----And YAH THATS WEAK compaired to the 3.5L ((V6's)) in the compatition. EMASCULATE GM??----I DONT THINK SO!! <_<

  15. please----((PLEASE!!))----NO SMALL 3.5L or 215CI WEAK V8's!! That would be a HORRABLE IDEA to have a V8 thats NO BETTER then competiters V6's!! I agree with Member55 and have said like things before about useing a SB V8 in the REGULAR CTS. With the PROPER GEARING and DOD a OHV SB V8 powered CTS could get BETTER FUEL ECONOMY then a LOWER GEARED HIGHER REVVING LESS TORQUEY 3.6L DOHC V6 does! Why not KILL the competiters over just competing with them? Let CADDY be a ALL V8 brand AGAIN!!

  20. As long as they keep the weight down bellow todays SIGMA with this SIGMA/ZETA/VE hybrid platform. And offer a Coupe-Base 3.9L 250HP V6--Z28 5.3L 325HP V8--SS 400HP 6.0L -CAMARO! And a Sadan-3.9L 250HP V6--4.8L 300HP V8-CHEVELLE with the PROPER Cami 69/Chev 70 STYLING I will be HAPPY!! :)

    The last of those cars useing Lambo V12's were built here in my home town of Jacksonville Fl.-----((BRAG--BRAG!!)) :P I allwase liked old Jerry Weigert he reminded me of Prestin Tucker a little with his dream of THE AMERICAN SUPERCAR! To bad its NOT POSSABLE for a lone single and creative MAN to find his DREAM AUTOMOBILE COMPANY these days! <_< Its Henry Fords America NO more!! <_<
  24. I dont see many other uses for this Engine line due to its TALL SIZE. And it WAS a waist of $$$ that could have been used BETTER for other things with in GM!-------PS. They could have used the 2.2L then later the 2.4L I4 as the base Colorado/Canyon Engine instead of the $$EXPENSIVE$$ ALL NEW ATLAS LINE! <_< The ..whole idea of this "topic" was to OPINE!----So thats what I did! :angry:
  25. The most used and best of the Atlas line is OBVEIOUSLY the STRONG I6! But I still see NO NEED for these Engines when GM could have saved $$$ by useing the 6.0L V8 block in the same way they did the Older 350/5.7L-to-262/4.3L one to make a new 4.5L V6. Based on a LS6 6.0L V8 it would be a 310HP 4.5L V6 that they could use in the Trailblazer/Colorado ect. Based on lesser 6.0L truck V8's like the 345HP one it would put out 255HP for a base Engine in the big trucks. GM needs to use their $$$ more wisely then they have been in the past with the Atlas line.---Is it good?---YES!---Was an EXPENSIVE completely new Engine line really needed that badly?---((NO!!))
