One problem with this. The public largely supports unions. In California a few years back there was a supermarket strike. The markets locked-out the union employees trying to bust the unions. The public refused to shop at those stores. Now Albertson's one of the big 3 supermarket chains had to sell itself or go out of business because it never recovered. Don't underestimate the public sympathy for unions.

The only thing it lacks is a large LCD screen. On-star you can steal this idea: how about the user calls onstar and you download the final destination into a normal NAV system with color maps etc, and you can still have the system read the instructions aloud. The future is video. The cheesy blue LED is a thing of the past.

I hope Delphi just dies totally. I'm sick of their cheap tacky products junking up GM cars. Good for the UAW for standing up to corporate greed. You know that whatever happens at Delphi the top executives will be laughing all the way to the bank and the workers, consumers and GM will be screwed. And listen up GM, don't get any ideas about union busting because the union is the main reason that I (and many others) have been loyal customers. No one does a better job than an American unionized employee.

The front of this truck is TRUGLY (Trucking Ugly) ... the rest is ok. I think the interior is okay except for the part of the dash directly behind the wheel. There is just way too much silver spray paint. It kind of ruins the rest of the dash.

Excuse me. I just barfed some of my lunch up into my mouth when I saw that interior. The only decent thing about it is the LCD screen. Everything else looks, cheap, discolored, misplaced, mismatched and ill-fitting. I hate the position of the shifter knob. The ceiling switches look like they were pulled out of an aged Airbus 300. I can't even start on the outside. It just will have to go without saying.

MKZ is a really stupid sounding name. Say it a few times. em-Kay-zee, EM-kay-zee, em-kay-ZEE. It has no flow. I thought the M is for Mercury anyway. Why not give Lincoln its own letter or number?

I could agree with you but I won't. Its just to simplistic to say that the Iranians are just misunderstood. When 81% of Americans have a disfavorable opinion of them. The introspection needs to be on the side of the Iranians not on our side. As Americans, we tend to see both sides but fanatical Islam as promoted by Iran has pushed even the most tolerant Americans to the breaking point. While its lovely to try and put things in context and create "Excuses for Bad Behavior" sometimes the blame and fault truly lies with the other side. The Iranians also need to acknowledge how their own actions have led to their current situation. What was it about the "popular Iranian regime of the 50's" that led us to overthrow it? Were the Iranians truly without blame? Are we to patronize them, as just innocent victims of their own lives? As time passes the Iranians have made every effort to be more like "others" and less like "us."

You absolutley can because if you look at the population of Africa at the time that national borders were created, you will see that the relatively small population was still rural and nomadic. It has been the huge population growth and not the arbitrary borders that has brough these tribal peoples together.

My point is that people like the British and French as different as they are can form a nation that is peaceful even if their borders were drawn by imperialist European influences. Its true there are still some issues with Quebec but Canada has formed a cohesive national identity.

Iran (Persia) is largely intact and was not greatly divided by foreign powers. But now that you mention it. Every country in the world has had its borders fractured by war an/or internal strife. Even island nations like Japan have gained and lost territory through conflict. Even peaceful Canada has such a history.

Iranians are the lowest form of humans. They have no civilization in their country which makes them nothing more than barbarians. The Shiia Muslims are the ones bringing down Islam and making people who otherwise would have tolerated their religion hate them. Have you noticed how they have been burning crosses (the Danish flag is a cross)? This is a huge insult to Christians and Catholics worldwide. These losers need to get a grip.

Cut the dividend entirely and save GM billions of dollars. The paltry amount they are planning to cut will save 586 Million a year. Just imagine what cutting the entire dividend would save.

I would have to say of ALL the religions in the world Islam would rank dead last for peace. It is very rare that any religion other than Islam teaches about killing, overthrowing or destroying while in a place of worship. It is widely known that Islamic clerics do this in their mosques.
