  1. You actually just posted W-body sales numbers? KNOWING that 60-70% of those have went STRAIGHT to fleets, you posted w-body sales numbers like it meant something? Yeah, I'm done arguing with you. I'd have more success convincing my cat why GM needs to offer navigation in its mid-size sedans. And yes, you are incredibly thick and borderline moronic.
  2. I'm 24. Even if I could afford to, I wouldn't jump into a Malibu because I can't get it with a stick w/ the 3.6L. Not to mention that were I spending $30k, it wouldn't be spent on a mid-size sedan. But by Oldsmoboi's logic, since only 5-10% of drivers opt for a manual, carmakers should stop offering it.
  3. No, 350,000 people up and abandoned GM, Ford and Chrysler because for nearly 25 years they built the worst, most god-forsakenly awful pieces of $h! on four wheels. And thanks to the way you think, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord will ALWAYS and FOREVER outsell GMs mid-size sedans. By the way, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, you're one of the thickest people I've ever had an encounter with. Virtual or otherwise.
  4. No because currently Chevrolet doesn't offer what they want. Your way of thinking is self-defeating. "Well even if we offered it, they wouldn't buy one anyway, so lets just not even offer it." Well how the hell are you going to know they wouldn't have bought one if you don't offer them what they want?
  5. But where does it say that GM can't OFFER Navigation to those that want it? You realize that 5-10% of the people who buy Camrys and Accords that get navigation amount to 35-70,000 cars a year? So you're saying that these aren't customers GM wants driving its Malibus? Nice 1980s GM thinking...
  6. You can tell General Motors to put a real f@#king navigation system in this $30k car...
  7. Navergashun is too hard!!! DHURRRR!!
  8. Apparently you don't understand the part where I said ITS AN OPTION. Just because its an option doesn't mean you have to buy it. Its PERCEPTION. Its like you're f@#king retarded...
  9. Turn-by-turn navigation is NOT superior, its an absolute cop-out. Getting a map, points of interest searching, address saving, etc etc PLUS all the interactive features for your radio, CD player, and MP3 library is a SUPERIOR product to getting turn-by-turn directions on a 1-inch by 8-inch (or whatever the hell the measurements are) display. The fact that the Malibu compares better to a Kia or a Hyundai than it does to a Nissan, Honda, or Toyota is NOT a good thing, in my mind.
  10. Agree with all of that. You get buy a $18k Mitsubishi Lancer that has bluetooth. Plus it has a Nav option. The Saturn Astra I'm assuming will have it (Nav), yet the Malibu and Aura don't offer it. You can get Nav in the Vue and Equinox, but not in any of the mid-size cars. Its all about perception, people. Whether or not you want nav doesn't matter. That GM would offer a car without it when all of its competition does causes the perception that GM isn't as good as Honda or Nissan or Toyota.
  11. Just because the majority of people don't order it doesn't mean it shouldn't have it as an option. Because you know who DOES like fully-loaded models? Car rags. And they'll be sure to talk up the fact that in 2008, GM STILL doesn't offer a Nav option in its mid-size sedans while the competition has for 4-5 years now. Its like you people just don't get it.
  12. I'd care, but its not like I can afford one anyway...
  13. The HO 6.2L needs to be offered in both full-size trucks.
  14. Haha, beat you to it.
  15. OnStar doesn't cut it. Trying to pretend OnStar can take the place of a decent GPS navigation is beyond naive. If I'm choosing to pay the yearly costs of the turn-by-turn OnStar crap or a GPS Nav, I'm going to go buy a nice Tom Tom or Garman GPS Nav.
  16. My problem is that they still have 4-spd transmissions in their vehicles. If they can't put a 6-spd in every vehicle (mid-size and larger), fine. But it standard transmission should at least be a 5-spd in every vehicle 2 years ago. What kills me about GM is that they don't realize how late to the party they are and when they do stuff like the above, they wear a crap-eating grin and pat themselves on the back like they've done something special. Yet they're still putting those worthless push-rod V6s in their vehicles, they're still putting 4-spds in their large cars/SUVs and they still don't understand why OFFERING a navigation system in their vehicles is important.
  17. I find it interesting that GM offers rear DVD entertainment in the new Malibu, yet the idea to offer DVD/GPS Navigation somehow escapes them.
  18. So we're looking at a slow roll-out starting in 2020 and full line availability in 2025? Please, as slow as GM Powertrain is with rolling out engines and transmissions, telling us they have these in development is nearly pointless.
  19. 6 spd auto!? LMAO!! Chrysler is a freaking JOKE!!
  20. The problem with the Cobalt is that, while its not a bad car, its completely outclassed in nearly every way by the competition. In its current state, I would not choose the Cobalt over the new Mitsu Lancer.
  21. So this means...? An all-new Cobalt next year (MY2009) or CY2009?
  22. Thats the way it should be.
  23. I need more pictures.
  24. JESUS CHRIST!!!! That thing scared the bajeezes outta me...
