  1. cool. the black primer color makes it more intimidating. i'd be tempted to leave it as is.
  2. Sixty8, whats that big primer black car?
  3. Seeing more and more. Interior still looks like dookie, but the front is a definite improvement.
  4. just joined! Josh stole that pose from me!
  5. Saw a first-gen Pontiac Grand Am today. All black. First one I've ever seen. I also see the same red SL500, silver CLS500, and Blue Steel XLR everyday. My commute to work takes me through one of the wealthiest areas of Lexington, which leads to some awesome car sightings on occasion.
  6. My boss's husband is a manager at the Georgetown, KY Toyota plant. He drives a Silverado, she drives a Volvo.
  7. What happened to "legally obtained"?
  8. I've seen several.
  9. Atlanta saw $5 a gallon because stations were price-gouging. Gas never got above $3.09 in LEX, and it IMMEDIATELY dropped 20 cents when Gov Fletcher said he'd fine every station $5,000 a customer for gouging. Its now as low as it was pre-Katrina. We could see another spike, but the media always likes to blow things out of proportion.
  10. Yeah, and Katrina could have been $4 a gallon. I wouldn't get your panties in a knot until you actually SEE $5.059 for 87 up on the Shell sign.
  11. Get a Cobalt. I'm gonna save up for a year and get either a a loaded SS (non-S/C) or a loaded HHR LT2. With a decent down payment (I'm hoping for a $3-4k down payment) I can get a monthly payment under $300. :D
  12. I love GM (mostly, and mostly for its newest cars, nothing before the 2005 model year is worth enthusiasm). I own a 2001 Cavalier and looking at my interior which is A) cracking up (not a laughing matter) B) almost falls into my lap on bumpy roads and C) is gapped and hard as a rock, and realizing that GM is STILL BUILDING THIS POS CAR, I can see and understand why they're struggling hard. The previous Malibu was a quality nightmare and so is every other GM car made before 2005.
  13. I'm not sure if GM needs another bean counter business man.
  14. I fucking hate Real Player. Buffers every 15 freaking seconds.
  15. Too bad Microsoft doesn't make computers. :P
  16. Best Looking -- Corvette Worst Looking -- Uplander/Silverado Most Bland Looking -- Aveo
  17. While I'm not in favor of outsourcing, there's not a whole lot that can be done about it. As long as companies can make better profit by employing the Chinese, they will. Thats what a business does, makes money. The only thing that we can do is find jobs in fields that cannot be outsourced. Call-centers, manufacturing, programming are all jobs that are not safe from outsourcing. Makes me glad I changed my major from Computer Science to Management Information Systems. Companies will always need on-site tech support for their employees.
  18. Escalade. After the improvement in interior design from the STS to the DTS, I'm curious to see if the Escalade's can actually compare to the competition. If its not better than the interiors in the LX, GX, and RX, then GM messed up.
  19. I've seen several 06 Malibus, a couple of 06 Impalas and a few HHRs. And, for the first time ever, I saw a 9-2x today.
  20. Hell, I work for $28k a year (salary), pay $100 a month for pretty good healthcare (medical, dental, vision, and basic life), and pay into my 401k (my company currently does not contribute). But thats not good enough for people with half my education, apparently.
  21. I'm politically correct because I have this thing about being punched in the face.
  22. Guess.
  23. No, I'd rather be a millionaire. But thats not how this world works.
  24. Its good to see that there are people out there who are more than happy to work. If union workers don't want work, they can watch as their jobs are handed out to others. Sure, achieving your dreams is the American way, but so is capitalism.
  25. Thank God for unions!
