  1. How are we just now getting a "First Look" when these things have been on dealer lots for many weeks, now?
  2. Someone post pictures of the 2001 Cavalier crash tests so I can use it to convince my wife to let me buy a new car.
  3. Its not the design so much as the color that bothers me. A sea of grey and silver =/= a fun place to spend your time.
  4. Riiight...
  5. Note to Toyota: We're not in Japan, please take your fugly, tiny box-mobiles back to the streets of Tokyo.
  6. Its unbelievable how bad that is. I mean...it blows my mind how absolutely hideous it is.
  7. Looks even better in red.
  8. Well I honestly don't expect them to take a step backwards, unless you're suggesting the new V6 and tranny will be less refined than the predecessor's? And I'm not talking about gauges, I was refering to the dash and center stack.
  9. Gotta agree with viper. The G8 looks fantastic. If only I could afford one.
  10. All I've ever seen them used for is busting speeders.
  11. Word. The interior is a bit drab, though.
  12. Eh, they'll still want Camaros for stealth just like they use Mustangs and the Gen 4 Camaros for now.
  13. I'd wager that GM will slap an LS2 in one and call it a GXP right around the time they start building them in Canada, eh.
  14. I never liked the hood scoops on the GTO, but the smoke taillights I really liked and I like them on the G8.
  15. I'd like to see the video of someone in a Camry V6 pulling up next to some kid in a Cobalt SS/SC and showing him nothing but tail lights. I sure as hell wouldn't have guessed the Camry would be that much faster.
  16. I'm highly impressed by the Camry's performance as well. Still wouldn't buy one, but I give props where they're due.
  17. The xB and xD are so horrible.
  18. *scratches head* Whats a Camlee?
  19. Without a materials comparison, you can't really say that. The designs are both completely polarizing. Land Rover's are VERY British and the H2's is VERY American.
  20. If everyone likes it, GM will probably start using it.
  21. 68's right, there's nothing masculine about the Highlander anymore.
  22. Compared to the Highlander? Quite original I'd say. You'll get similarity among vehicles by the same manufacturer, but Toyota's is a mish mash of several inspirations, the most obvious of which is Honda. I'm sure the 3.6L isn't a screaming nightmare, its in enough vehicles and I never read anyone bitching, and I know Toyota's V6 is quiet and smooth because I've driven a current Highlander on several occasions and was impressed by how quiet it is, even when flogged.
  23. They should rename it the Toyota Outclassed. Interior design is boring and the exterior is completely generic. Outlook and Acadia are better in very measurable fashion (save a few horsepower, but their torque is better). GMs second-row folding is better as well. It'll likely still outsell the Outlook and Acadia, after all the sheeple snap up anything with a Toyota or Honda badge regardless of how much better the Lambda's are.
  24. The Charger is gawky and overdone in comparison. The Charger's interior is laughable next to the G8s. The G8 is an ACTUAL enthusiast vehicle with the availablility of a manual tranny. The G8 is classier, cleaner, more upscale and just overal BETTER than the Charger in every measurable fashion. Sure, the G8 is a little more expensive, but consider bang for the buck and the G8 comes off as a great deal relative to the Charger's shortcomings, and there are many. The G8 is nothing like the Camry of mainstream RWD sedans, and you're ludicrous for thinking so.
