I saw verification this morning ( I didn't have it last night) that Musk is staying on as CEO, just not as Chairman of the Board.

GLC63 models are so exceedingly rare, I have never even seen one in the wild. As far as it's concerned, they exist in paper and press fleets only. The vast vast vast majority of GLCs are 4 cylinders and the people leasing them couldn't tell you why which way the engine faces might matter.

I'm putting on my Mary Barra hat. @ocnblu, @smk4565, @Cubical-aka-Moltar here is your job: 1. Show me the ROI of using a RWD platform instead of a FWD platform. There must be higher profits on the XT4 to justify changing my mind. The key competition at this price point is the GLC, X1/2, Q3, QX30, Lexus NX or UX and Acura RDX. Show the advantages to sales figures.

In a deal announced late Saturday between Tesla and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Elon Musk will be stepping down as Chairman of Tesla Motors and barred from holding that position for 3 years. Additionally, Musk and Tesla will pay $20 million in fines each. As part of the settlement, Tesla will add two additional board members and more closely monitor Mr. Musk's public communications. Neither Tesla nor Mr. Musk admit wrongdoing as part of this agreement. The settlement comes as a surprise as apparently Musk had rejected a similar deal earlier this week. The settlement stems from a lawsuit filed by the SEC against Musk and Tesla over an August 7th tweet by Mr. Musk that "funding is secured" to take Tesla private. Federal investigators found that the deal referred to in the tweet was still in the early stages and thus was considered deceptive to investors. Update: Musk will stay on as CEO. Resigning only as Chairman of the Board. View full article

Chassis doesn't matter for a vehicle that is never going to be used with sporting intentions. The XT5 outsells the X3 easily. Cadillac doesn't (yet) have an X5 competitor. The German competition to the XT4 is all transverse FWD (X1 and GLC)... in fact, there isn't a RWD competitor to the XT4 from any brand.

I was sure I saw them on the road in France in August. They are very sharp cars. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac Bids Farewell to New York
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
I feel bad for the friends that I have who work at the NYC office and had planned to stay there. I wonder if they'll shed employees moving from NYC to Warren MI. -
See if you can identify this bit of roadkill I posted on the C&G Facebook page.... answer in the comments over there.

That's the hardest part about reviewing cars these days. They're all so good at what they do that most comments we have on them boil down to nit-picking. It's really rare to get a car that is truly bad for the class... and these days even a Corolla has 98% of the safety tech that a Benz has.. Sometimes even more because the Corolla comes with it standard.

It certainly didn't stop Dell from buying EMC and as I recall Dell had to change their drug testing policy because most of the EMC executives and employees couldn't pass it.- 33 replies

Same reason I grew up in 4x4 wagons (Suburu GL and Dodge Colt Vista)... we were always out camping and such. The "wilds" of NJ where we went weren't enough to warrant a Suburban, but if we really needed to get somewhere the Colt Vista couldn't, my dad's F250 could do it. That said, my dad couldn't help taunting a show-off Wrangler driver who was on a lightweight off-road course. Put the Colt Vista into 4WD and started following him around the course with 2 kids in carseats in the back.

I'm sure you could do direct orders, but no, they weren't only direct order. They were limited in the total number sold. Chevy only planned to sell X of them every year.

The Mustang is much easier to get into and out of..... even in my old age I can feel the difference between a Camaro and Mustang. Once I get into a Camaro, I am comfortable... but getting in and out is a chore compared to Mustang.
-
At least they picked a different name..... it's just the interior and grille that are Camaro inspired

Depends on how bad and where the gunk is. Honestly just running top tier fuel for a few tanks would probably be enough.
