  1. I know both U of Pitt and Carnegie Mellon here have a few charging spots... but not nearly enough to support a student body.
  2. Infiniti announced today that they will exit the Western European market to concentrate on their growth areas in North America and China. The company stated that regulatory challenges and competition from other premium priced cars were the main factors in its decision. There are 55 Infiniti dealerships in Western Europe. As part of the move, Infiniti is canceling the Q30 sedan and QX30 crossover which is sold in the US. Both vehicles are built in the UK at Nissan's Sunderland plant. Nissan recently announced they will not be building their X-Trail SUV in the UK. Nissan is also rumored to be cutting Leaf and Qashqai production at the Sunderland plant. This follows recent moves by Honda and potentially BMW to end automobile production in the UK in fear of a no-deal Brexit. In January, Infiniti's President Christian Meunier admitted the QX30 was a flop, but said that the model would continue on an all-Infiniti platform. The exit from Europe now puts those plans into question. Infiniti will remain in Eastern Europe, North America, and China and will electrify most of its products by 2021. 4. ^^ The only interfaces I've really like have been Volvo (great design, so-so reliability) and Chrysler uConnect (Good design, great reliability) GM's interfaces are a mess and unreliable (though the latest round is improving). Ford Sync3 is reliable, but such blah design. Tesla Model 3 lost the "recommended" rating from Consumer Reports over their interior electronics.
  5. I'm with you... I'm not sure what other features I really want or need at this point. I just want it to work well with my other devices/cars. My big thing is music... I have yet to find a music app I actually like.
  6. You're both kinda saying the same thing from different perspectives. It is the homogeneity of SUVs (the car for everyone) that makes roadsters less profitable and more likely to be cut from lineups.
  7. Isn't bragging rights what sells most Teslas anyway? Back to the original premise, 440 volts just isn't available in most residential installations anyway, so its a moot point. Better off getting Tesla roof and house battery to charge the car from.
  8. I'll take a Roadmaster Estate please...
  9. 40s here for my weekend, but clear, and back up to the 50s next week
  10. They don't even offer the VR6 in the Passat anymore, but when it left it was good for 280 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque... not bad at all.
  11. ^^ I think we're finally done with winter here. going to be in the 60s the rest of this week.
  12. I can't find the original post to quote it... but the issue with changing from page to page should be fixed now.
  13. Yeah, children only and with the seats up, there was virtually zero cargo space.
  14. The Jeep Commander was based on the prior generation Grand Cherokee. When they went to the current generation, they decided to give the 3-row to Dodge instead of Jeep in order to build a replacement Durango. When the 2011 Cherokee was being developed, Chrysler was in turmoil, there was not enough money to do a GC, and Durango, and Commander. The Dakota, Aspen, old Durango, and Pacifica also died in this time-frame. So in order to cover both Dodge and Jeep, the Commander was axed and Dodge got the 3-row.
  15. I don't think the A8 will go away, it is used as the basis for the Bentley. Also need to look at the vehicle globally. It does better in EU and China than it does here.
  16. How so? I mean, at worst Tesla is charging $36,200 after destination. We don't include taxes in car prices because they vary from state to state and even county to county.
  17. Yeah, but you're still on Android O. I've been on Android P on my Pixel since August.
  18. My blurry morning vision read that as Nescafé and I'm sitting here wondering why there are race cars in a coffee shop.... Did that start life as a hearse/ambulance?
  19. 3-Row Grand Cherokee = Traverse/Explorer/Acadia/XT6 3-Row Wagoneer = Tahoe/Expedition/Yukon/Escalade 3-Row Grand Wagoneer = Suburban/Expedition Max/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV What don't you understand? The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are going to be made on the Ram 1500 frame.
  20. Are you intentionally not understanding?
  21. Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban = Acadia, Enclave, Yukon, Yukon XL = XT6, Escalade, Escalade ESV = Explorer, Expedition, Expedition Max = Highlander, Sequoia, Land Cruiser = Grand Cherokee XL, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer Even Nissan has it, though down a size class each with Rogue, Pathfinder, Armada
  22. They're building a whole new plant to be able to build it.
  23. Just a concept for now.
  24. Another car is potentially on the chopping block as consumers continue their push into SUVs and Crossovers. Bram Schot, CEO of Audi, was asked by Autocar about the future of Audi TT. His words were grim for the lovers of 2-seater sports cars. Rumor has it that a possible replacement could be a 4-door liftback car, but that it would not be called TT. As recently as November, Audi was denying the 4-door TT variant, but if it takes a new name, that may leave the company enough wiggle room. Audi has been reducing complexity in their lineup by reducing the number of variants and engine options. Schot blames part of the reasoning on having to finance electrification saying that Audi cannot afford to electrify and also be in every single segment. The potential demise of the TT follows the recent announcement that the Mercedes-Benz SLC will be entering retirement after the next model year. The Audi TT just received a facelift and will likely be on sale till at least 2022. View full article
