  1. I still say that GM has been doing hybrids for longer then anyone else.
  2. How did the original Miata change the face of the industry? 2 seat roadsters had been around for years.
  3. I've long been a subscriber to the thought that one should stay silent and be thought a fool rather than opening your mouth and confirming it. GM should take heed.
  4. I'm suprised the 3-series or Ridgeline were even considered as "most significant". The 3-series hasn't changed much about the concept of it's brand nor has it added anything new to the BMW lineup. It's about as significant as the Saturn VUE update. The Ridgeline, while new, is about as significant as the Subaru Baja. The only reason it gets so much attention is because it has an H on the grill. I take it back... I'm not suprised. Honda and BMW are the two brands Edmunds masterbates the most over.
  5. Just to illustrate the difference between the US and Europe.
  6. Me: "I need spark plugs for a 1985 Lincoln Continental" Autozone guy: *taps at the keyboard* Autozone guy: "Is that the V8 or the diesel?" Me: "Uh.... guess"
  7. '96s just had the 3.1 '95 was the last year for the 3.4DOHC and the last year for the convertible. '95 saw a much more modern interior Mid '94 saw some engine changes in the 3.4
  8. Being a tech support kinda guy.... I have a lot of them. My favorite... "Is the internet down?"
  9. Before my CTS I only had cars over 100k miles. All domestics, mostly GM <one Ford>.
  10. Marketshare doesn't concern me as much as profit or total sales numbers. Remember, it is entirely possible for market share to go down while sales numbers are increasing <not the case here>. Think about it this way. Honda's market share has gone up. Well, yeah! 10 years ago they didn't have a truck, and they had re-badge Isuzus for their SUV and Mini-van. Market share is a way to prop up the Japanese makes as "winning the war" against the american brands. BS If marketshare was such an issue why are Porche and VW still around. VW's sales have tanked recently. If GM can make better cars, more profitably, at 25% marketshare then it can at 30% market share then it should aim for 25%. GM needs to continue with great designs. Profitablilty will follow.
  11. No joke... there is a dealer nearby that used to be an Olds/Plymouth/Jeep/Eagle. They lost Eagle... then Plymouth. Kept Olds right up to the bitter end, but added Daewoo in the meantime. Now he sells Kia and Jeep. What a glutton for punishment.
  12. I always liked the Mark VIIIs if they were in LSC trim <body colour grill>. In black I think they kinda look batmobileish.
  13. and since when is Lexus not "uppity" sounding?
  14. I thought Lucerne was a name of a town in Switzerland?
  15. Loooove the taillights on the Milan! BV, do you think it's disturbing that I've been to every one of those dealerships?
  16. It's a Ford of some type.
  17. I'm gonna say that is a "gear" selector for a CVT.
  18. Say goodbye to your police fleet sales Ford.
  19. I put Dunlop M3 Wintersports on the CTS. I have to have them to get out of my driveway in as little as an inch of snow. I have a VERY steep driveway.
  20. But you get further on a gallon of diesel then you do on a gallon of gasoline in the same car.
  21. Thus proving there is no accounting for taste.

    I saw...

Oh, and I was on the same plane once as a woman who was on TLC's What Not to Wear.

    I saw...

I drove past Paris Hilton at the Breakers Resort in Palm beach once. When I was working as a clerk in a software store, I rung up Steven King.
  24. Oh Look! Someone mated a 1999 Avalon with a 1999 RL. Perfect! :P :P :P :P
