  1. I really don't understand why the Yaris <dumb name> isn't sold as a Scion.
  2. Does the Corvette really need more publicity though? GM should have sent the CTS(-V), Solstice, Sky, GTO, or heck even the DTS out there.
  3. .... at taking away American jobs? .....lawnmowers? .....cars for idiots who know nothing about cars?
  4. <--- retired
  5. I know it's FWD Sixty8, but the front end extension is already done for you on this one.....
  6. Well if nothing else it will help cut some costs having one less steering wheel to produce. Greater economies of scale and all that.
  7. I could call the order of results without even opening the article. Oh... and Balthy the CTS would come in 4th because the steering wheel is too big.
  8. I only spend other people's money, but I still do it conservatively.
  9. I was going to suggest Saab 9-3 to him.
  10. 13.6 liter V-16 mated to a Dynaflow.
  11. This was the pretty one: The one I posted earlier reminds me of those VW Beatles with a Rolls Royce grill pasted on.
  12. Off topic.. but I was just scrolling through pics of Desotos and came across this: It reminded me of how ugly the '58 Mercury was: And then I though to myself.... were all the late 50's mid-range brands that ugly? Yep:
  13. I think those numbers may be a bit high for "from the factory" Loki. I think 260hp 260lbft and 290hp 280lbft are a bit more likely.
  14. That would be the '89 Toronado:
  15. Doesn't matter to me as long as they name the hybrid versions of Buick models "Electra" Lacross Electra Lucurne Electra Enclave Electra
  16. GAaaaH! @ that front end! Tail end is unique.
  17. The 300 may have Grace, but that's only because Dino and Bam Bam won't let her out of the trunk.
  18. There's plenty of Benz, mostly of the E-Class variety, in these large machines. The aluminum five-link rear suspension on all 300s is based on the E-Class design, but the 300 has a wider track and bigger wheels and tires, with a steel cradle in place of the E's aluminum one. Link The new 300C and Dodge Magnum both share the Chrysler LX platform, which features components derived from the previous-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Such components include the suspension design, front seat frames, wiring harnesses, steering column, the 5-speed automatic's design, and a derivative of the 4-Matic AWD system. Link
  19. I used to work as a network administrator. It was always embarassing having "insufficient dick space".   I frequently type "and" when I ment to type "an".
  20. Cadillac should do what MB is doing in terms of platforms. That is, taking their older platforms, sprucing them up a bit and handing them to the lesser divisions while developing the high tech stuff for itself
  21. I'm not at all appalled. After driving GMs for years, I am very comfortable with "the stalk". The nice thing about the stalk is that I can get in nearly any GM car and everything works the same as the last one. No need to take my eyes off the road when I'm in a GM rental because I know where everything is.
  22. I'll make it easy. I'm about an hour closer to you right now. Still have to catch me first.
  23. Till you wrap yourself around a tree.
  24. gun to the tires
  25. Out of the ordinary: 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham Caliente. Had every option except the CB radio. Had the "Classic" grill and stainless steel body mouldings. The previous owner had rigged up the rear air suspension to work with a toggle switch under the dash. I could raise and lower the rear end on command. The novelty wore off kind of quickly and after about a year I switched it back to the automatic leveling system. Not out of the ordinary, but somewhat rare: 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible with the 3.4 DOHC
