  1. if nothing else but for the coolness factor. I wonder if Leno will get one.
  2. imagin if they made this in a cobalt sized package and tuned it more for economy rather than performance. Cut the 0-60 in half, increase the range to 350miles and keep a reasonable price tag on it and I'd bet people would buy it.
  3. pick another color GM.
  4. has a rear seat apparently.....
  5. damn! the GMC is HOT!
  6. there wasn't any debate happening....it was turning into a slug fest... to be honest, I would have locked it earlier.
  7. OC, if you're going to do it that way, can we stack Impala + GP + Lacross up in sales numbers? How about Cobalt + G5 + HHR v. Corolla/Matrix Then of course there is Equinox, Vue, Torrent v. Rav4 Why aren't you including the DTS in your Lucerne count?
  8. is that a mercury comet front clip on there?

    VW Tiguan!

    cue Napolean Dynamite jokes....
  10. What are YTD sales on Lucerne? They do that every month and they'll be hitting 120k per year sales..... not bad considering that is PT Cruiser, HHR sales numbers. poor montego, I thing the writing is on the wall for Mercury.
  11. Kirk and I speak the same language.
  12. this entire thread needs to be copied and sent to the editors of forbes and the author's of the articles. an entry on Autoblog with the headline "C&G rips Forbes a new one" would help too.
  13. chopped Eldorado with exhaust through the bumper
  14. yeah, I saw this article and it's complete hogwash! They literally cherry picked the data they wanted. They didn't even use the same source for each catagory. Each and every manufacture sent letters/emails of protest only to be dismissed by the authors. this article devalues the paper it was printed on by $1 a sheet.
  15. I like the idea on the upper end models something like a LaCross Super. The HF series of V6 engines from GM are very smooth. The 3.6 in my CTS is very satisfying all over it's powerband. It runs just fine on the recommended 87 octane. In direct injection form, the power/efficiancy should only increase. That said, I really would like a AFM 5.3 putting out around 330hp in the CTS. I think that <with the new interior/exterior> would allow the CTS to take on the 5-series at all levels. Imagine, the CTS being available with a 2.8 <528>, 3.6 <530>, 5.3 <545>, and 6.0 <M5>. Naturally it will automatically suck because the upper engines have pushrods.
  16. how much you wanna bet that won't happen..... the rental agencies will just keep the price the same and take the extra profit.
  17. That will drive up resale value as well which will in turn make it a little easier to sell the new ones closer to sticker.
  18. the fact that it lunged towards you with that blacked out grill much in the same way the Charger, Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and prev-gen 5-series do.
  19. Considering the average weight of a current minivan and the fact that these won't be considered a minivan.... while also not being considered a full size SUV. These will be a logical step for families who don't want mini-van OR full size SUV stigma.
  20. The other big difference between the '96 and the '06? '96 = Badass looking '06 = looks like what that middle aged mother of 2 secretary might drive if she doesn't have a minivan.
  21. and still lost....
  22. even has the same flat tire.... So now we have a case where the lady doth protest too much.
  23. Me: Used Olds -> used Chevy -> Used Olds -> CadillacMom: Plymouth -> Pontiac -> Olds -> Cadillac
