1. This one has been slightly used.
2. run it with the next octane down and see what happens edit: Chas's Passat "requires" premium and he never fills up with anything but regular.... the car runs just fine.
3. <- gay, skinny, computer geek.... who owns a GMT-800 Avalanche and would love a new 900 if he didn't beat the $h! out of them.
4. compaired to "employee pricing summer '05" yeah.... but they're actually up from July '04 right? and more profitable to boot.
5. Well, crap. Chas and I were thinking about taking an extended weekend there in 2-3 weeks I hope cools down a bit.
6. interesting, since it was only ever rated 27mpg highway when new.
7. If you save $10 per fillup, you'll have to have 100 fillups to save $1000. Assuming you use 1 tank per week, you're talking 2 years of fillups at about 400 miles a week or about 21,000 miles per year. that's a *lot* of freaking driving for someone with no commitments like a job or school.
8. And the 900s are just around the corner! It must be the clearance pricing. I saw the 800 Escalade EXT has a $6500 rebate on it right now.
9. how much longer can the Cobalt be considered a "launch" vehicle?
10. folks, I think we've found the problem. :AH-HA_wink:
11. A 2000 Lumina is 3300lbs. and that's definately considered midsize if not almost fullsized. Oh yea, it gets 20/30 and uses regular, and has 175hp. A 1998 Grand Am GT is 3000lbs. V6 so no Quad-4 troubles to worry about. A 2000 Century is 3300lbs. A 1995 Century is 3000lbs All midsized, all get better than 30mpg highway, all FWD, all take regular fuel. So.. yeah, that Millenia was definately top of that pack.
12. I have two vehicles. I get about 300 mile range in each. 600 miles a month. I dont have any building rehabs going on right now <too hot>, but even when I do, the buildings are usually less than 3 miles from my house. The consulting gig I am doing right now is in downtown Pittsburgh and I have door to door bus service available. $60 a month for a bus pass.
13. I'm sure even after all of that you'd find something to gripe about.
14. If ya'd quite driving it like you stole it, driving it 30 minutes to DuBois to spend an hour at the mall, and driving it just to drive it, you wouldn't have these issues. I fill up both of my vehicles exactly once a month, usually on or around the 27th. The Cadillac gets about 18 around town and the Avalanche gets about 14. I am a substantially busier person than you, so if I can do it, so can you.
15. Put that one up everywhere GM!!!!
16. that's it right there. I can't imagine having a truck without that feature anymore.
17. Lets not forget that the issue isn't that Toyota is having issues..... but that the press generally ignores Toyota's issues while putting the Domestic's on the front page in bold print.
18. I have a really bad habit of typing "insufficient dick space".... working in the I.T. field.... this came up fairly often.
19. tasteful is not relative... it's subjective. but subjectively, I think you're hot as hell and it would be a shame for you to go punching holes in your head.
20. on that trip, the only thing that the Avalanche broke was it's winshield..... @#$@ trucks throwing stones!
21. When one becomes very accustomed to automatic headlights, it's a very hard habit to get out of.
22. 12.9 with an entire two bedroom apartment worth of stuff in the bed and the biggest uhaul trailer I could get.... over the mountains of west virginia.... in a 2003 Avalanche. edit: and save for a few extremely steep moutains, the Avalanche basically acted as if the trailer wasn't there.
23. The Chevy is great, but the GMC just pwns them all. It looks handsome *AND* tough.
24. Here is a way for the Buick Lucerne to get the O.C. seal of approval: 1. Change the name to Buick Motor Works. 2. Remove the Buick name from the cars; use initials instead 3. Borrow Pontiac grills 4. Convert to RWD 5. Keep column shifter 6. replace all other controls <including steering wheel and brakes> with a single dial; name the dial. 7. add a big fat butt 8. change the name. The car is about 5 meters long... so start there. It comes with a 4.6 litre engine. We want to keep some heritage, so we'll use the first letter of the old name. So we have a 546L. 9. Base price: $71,000 10. Profit.
25. heck, a 1994 LeSabre can keep up with a Corolla without really trying.... I'm sure a modern Impala can do it.
