  1. oh yeah, I've posted a bunch of times in this thread, but not about the car. I *really* like it. I'm already imagining a black SS model with a turbo 3.6.
  2. I wish there was a way for us <the enthusiasts> to interact <not just drop suggestions in the box> with the marketing department of GM. Place ads on a secure website with a limited member base <the membership of C&G> and have us review the ads. Heck, we'd all do it for free. They won't have to pay for focus groups anymore AND the GM enthusiasts would get a measure of mental "ownership" in an ad campaign. I'm a cost saver. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. I'm going to disagree with you. I think the Aura will be that car.
  4. heh. that too, but I was making a joke about how the Camry's 6-speed is sometimes a 4-speed.
  5. Not really... even in that pic you can still see the input jack on the front of the head unit. If microsoft wants to be in cars that badly, they'll offer an adapter kit too. It's really just an adapter that tranlates the CD changer control into an iPod control.
  6. I think the 2.8 CTS with DI should be the "greenline" model. Bump up the HP to around 220hp and leave the rest of the improvements to better fuel efficiency. The Aveo still uses a Daewoo motor... it doesn't benefit from any of GM's engine technology. I've never found the ecotechs to be *that* bad. The Alero I borrow from time to time is smooth, quiet, and efficient. I want to point out that the GM Ecotechs typically do much better than their EPA rating while the Asians to worse than their EPA rating. 36 mpg highway in a 2005 Alero is pretty easy to do. A 6-speed and DI in a similar size/weight/aerodynamic car should easily see over 40. <wishful thinking>Wouldn't it be nice if, through the combination of VVT and DI, you could press a "sport mode" button on the dash and get an instant boost in HP. This would be interesting in the 2.8 CTS with VVT and DI. Normal mode gets you 215hp and 30mph highway, sport mode gets you 255hp and 23mpg highway.</wishful thinking>
  7. worth every penny. This effectively makes the iPod the largest available CD changer.
  8. sometimes :AH-HA_wink:
  9. I haul bricks, sand, stone, large quantities of drywall in my Av. I don't even know what I'd do if I was hauling the same stuff with a Ridgeline and had a flat. Call AAA I guess?
  10. this is why I wouldn't let 68 within 68 feet of any of my vehicles...
  11. I'm going to disagree on this one. Can a Ridgeline carry a 4x8 sheet of drywall.... in bad weather?
  12. "The Bucket residence! The Lady of the House speaking!" "It's B-U-C-K-E-T... pronouced Bouquet" "We're having the Chinese Ambassador over for tea on my Royal Dalton with the hand painted perrywinkles" "Oh hello Sheradon! You want what? Matching silk pajamas for you and your roommate?"
  13. Black Adder all the way
  14. I had them once.... but sadly I didn't even have the night of action usually involved in getting them. They were a "gift" left behind by the former tenent of my dormroom in college.
  15. you guys have it all wrong.... It's a mule for Toyota's next generation hybrid system that runs on sugar, spice, and everything nice. Clearly better than GM's less expensive hybrid that runs on snips, snails, and puppy dog tails.
  16. you guys have it all wrong.... This is a testbed for Lexus's next generation in styling.... C-finesse
  17. you guys have it all wrong.... this is obviously a mule for a new division Toyota is creating to market to the "homeless" crowd.
  18. you guys have it all wrong.... it's a Scion Xb mule undergoing aerodynamics testing on the Yaris platform.
  19. you guys have it all wrong.... This is a blue devil mule.
  20. The Mazda 5 is for the people that miss and loved their Dodge Colt Vista
  21. a Ping is just a "hello are you there?" from one computer to another. the recieving computer responds with "Yes, I'm here" Imagine a computer having to respond to thousands of those over an over....from sources all over the internet. if we all do it, in essence, it will kill his internet connection.
  22. Click start -> run in the run box enter "ping 209.122.64.11 /n 99999999" without quotes. He can ping hide his PC, but he can't ping hide his cable modem.
  23. can't blame last year's employee pricing this time..... there is employee pricing now!
  24. Maybe this is what happens....
