  1. that's only 1mpg difference from my car's rating.
  2. The thing is.... that's pretty much spot on. You *might* get 1 or 2 mpg better.... tops.... if you're gentle. I get that rating exactly in my '04 3.6 Auto. edit: Oh.. congrats and welcome to the club.
  3. Kappa Caddy now! Call it the KLR
  4. aww... why not all three? That'd be the perfect trifecta. It really can't cost all that much more if the technology is already developed. Fuel = E85 At stop = engine off Accelerating = All 8 cylinders on with hybrid assist Decelerating = 4 cylinders off with hybrid regen highway cruise = 4 cylinders off with hybrid assist You could see an avalanche with a fuel mileage of around 25mpg and a gasoline mileage in the 40s when using E85!
  5. Honda's had one good looking car. Great? no, good? yes.
  6. as was mentioned... the DIC is pop up. geez this thread is going downhill fast
  7. especially in black
  8. different class man. try this: A Chrysler 5th Ave gets XX and a Chrysler 300c gets xx. How about one of the oldest cars on the road out there now. The Town Car... it's mileage hasn't gone up that much and now then only sell a fraction of what they used to. The towncar has been replaced by the Navigator as Lincoln's top seller... and it gets about the same as that old towncar from 20 years ago.
  9. sometime next year, I'll be able to trade my current Avalanche in on a 2008 Avalanche with a hybrid, AFM, E85 setup? I could drive around all day with the A/C on and the windows down and still use less gasoline than a Prius!
  10. truth in advertising.
  11. I drove a 'Nox recently. The engine *sounded* like your typical GM V6 when you started it up <note I didn't say pushrod, the DOHC 3.4 sounds the same as the pushrod>, but once you step on it, the 'Nox really moves and sounds decent. I got to 60 much faster than I expected. Would it out run that RAV-4? probably not. But the 'Nox will pass the RAV-4 while it's stopping for gas.... again.
  12. ???!!! Are you sure about that? fuel efficiency has remained fairly stagnent <sometimes falling> due to people switching from cars to SUVs/Trucks.
  13. 1 of each year Toronado produced 67 Eldorado 85 Seville 85 Continental 83 Imperial 83 98 Coupe one of the big early 80's Olds diesels.... just for fun Stock '96 Fleetwood '96 Fleetwood, stock except for the predator CTS-V engine from the other thread, plus suspension upgrades '07 Escalade EXT 72 Eldorado Convertible XLR CTS-V Rolls Royce Phantom VW Phaeton and Sky Redline.... for Chas
  14. My main bitch about VWs *other than their frequent shop visits* is the way the dealership treats you when the car is there for service. We've tried the 3 major VW dealers in the area and experienced similar rudness. Chas tries to schedule work on the Passat on days he is planning on visiting his parents an hour north of us.
  15. One thing XM has that Sirius does not is XM traffic Navigation. The integration of real time traffic updates into your nav system is just one step closer to the integrated internet enabled car.
  16. The Aspen is to Durango as Acura SLX is to Isuzu Trooper.
  17. I need to get me one of those.
  18. We just need to get the forum fags to go Queer Eye on you and you'll be fine.
  19. If you weren't in Tampa..... unless you want to spin down to Ft. Lauderdale next time I'm there.
  20. The CTS-V and Solstice are more my style.... that's why I'd trade an LS for them. I'd trade a 70k DTS for them too. The only cars in this class that interest me are the XJ for it's exterior and the Pheaton for it's interior.
  21. Tsk... a blue sock with a gray suit and a slip on loafer. Apparently Laura wasn't there to dress him.
  22. 1985 Olds Toronado
  23. If someone gave me this, I'd trade it in on a CTS-V and Pontiac Solstice.... and only have to pay the tax.
  24. .... ok? but that doesn't mean he was wrong. it is perfectly feasible... and likely... that the scenario he described will play out many times in relation to this car. my only issue is the loaded jetta..... she would have bought a loaded 4-cylinder automatic jetta... not the VR6..... because it's thrifty
  25. Enclave 9-7x... at least on the outside GMT-900 Avalanche and Escalade EXT are teh sex
