  1. hence the change in my sig.
  2. People make fun of the Ass-pen because Chrysler can't move Durangos as it is. The Asspen is really just a Durango De lux. We're not making fun of it for platform sharing, we're making fun of it for platform sharing badly on a platform that already has sales issues.
  3. I'm curious what you think a "reasonable cost" is. I dunno how much it'd cost to convert a gasoline car to run hydrogen, but it can't be cheap.
  4. because it is 1/2 as efficient?
  5. and for those in Florida, you can recharge your oxygen tank by hooking it to the other end of the refueling unit !
  6. The Jetta 2.5 sedan <not the value edition> and the Jetta TDI have a nearly identical feature list. The TDI is $2100 more than the gasser. Mileage ratings for the gasser are 22/30 Mileage ratings for the diesel are 36/41 Unlike the hybrids, the Jetta TDIs are known for not only meeting their EPA ratings, but blowing right by them.
  7. what is that, a 45mph bumper that offeres regenerative braking?
  8. Do 438,000 people die each year from any one of those activities? Does the treatment of farsightedness cost in the same ballpark as advanced chemotherapy or lung removal?
  9. It's a better catalytic converter for an existing engine to meet CA emissions <which I'm sure will be changes so as to not allow this engine>. How much more can it really cost?
  10. That doesn't address the massively increased health care costs. Personally, I think anyone who smokes should see an automatic 1000% surcharge in their health insurance premiums and a reduction by 50% of the cost covered by an employer. Anyone without health insurance should be ineligible for any "free" treatment of smoking related ailments.
  11. Rather than just summarily discounting it. Explain why they are not parallel? If I choose to burn a substance that is hazardous to my health and the health of those around me, it's my right isn't it? Does it really matter if I'm burning said substance between my lips or in the engine of a 1957 Buick?
  12. especially with:
  13. just sayin...
  14. a bunch... it's called Class Action Lawsuits.
  15. I know why they were able to tool up so quickly
  16. Wow! This is amazing news! This is the reason they are called Honda Motor Company. If they make a V6 version it will easily bluetech
  17. Croc voted for it before he voted against it.
  18. In 2001, excessive alcohol use was responsible for approximately 75,000 preventable deaths Center for Disease Control v. The report also finds that during 1997–2001 an estimated 438,000 annual premature deaths occur as a result of smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke.* Center for Disease Control You're projecting. *edited for clarity
  19. uh... sorry, without a link I'm calling Lung cancer, asthma, emphesima are all faaaar more epidemic than Liver cirrhosis. and even a worst case alcohol involved scenario, a deadly vehicular accident, will still cost less <financialy> than long term cancer treatment.
  20. regardless, my Cadillac dealer offered to do both for me 3 years ago.
  21. A. Jeep is owned by Chrysler.... and Jeep is one of it's most stable brands. B. Once does not a pattern make. C. Ford and GM lost money to legacy costs. GM had it's best year <in terms of units moved> in something like 20 years in 2005.
  22. Why not just throw yourself in front of a bus and get it over with quicker then? edit: I felt I should be more sensative about this. How about... Why not just throw yourself in front of a bus and get it over with quicker so you don't drive up all our health insurance costs with a lengthy and absurdly expensive for a self induced disease, death.
  23. yeah, the idea is to buy low, sell high. Ford is not going to get much lower than they are now.
  24. and means you're not yet thinking with your head. You need to find out more information about the car first. I'm sure Fly can tell you that first gen Aurora's can be expensive to have work done if they need something. They are a very unique car and can only be serviced a some Cadillac and some former Oldsmobile dealers... often times being one in the same.
  25. Oh yes, so much duller than the Infinities of the day *I purposely didn't include the lower end w-bodies because they weren't competing with Infinity.
