  1. That's the point. They're not ment to be a mainstream car. Cadillac could help it's market share by pricing the CTS at 25k, but that ruins the exclusivity of it. If Chrysler is having trouble moving the higher end models, they need to shift production more to the Charger and Plymouth Fury *cough* I mean 300 2.7.
  2. put an Ecotec in there and the Aveo instantly pwnes the others.....
  3. Waste of money? No because they get to charge a premium for a vehicle that really doesn't cost them that much more over a regular 300c. Could they have been done better? Probably. I know one big issue that would bug me as a potential buyer is the inability to completely disable the electronic nannies.
  4. It it not wise to come in here and challenge us as a group to a battle of wits. Many of us individually have more wits than you. Collectively, you don't stand a chance.
  5. I've been getting them constantly this evening
  6. Are you just the new voice of Buickman?
  7. now running nearly a dollar over the previous 52 week high.
  8. Pittsburgh. 3br/2bath, fireplace, hardwood floors, 3 porches, 1 car garage, full basement with 1/2 finished, 1/3rd acre of land, 15 minutes from downtown Pitt, in one of the nicer neighborhoods. Price? $87,500
  9. I got it... geez...
  10. did I say holding steady? I meant to say, "shot up about 50 cents above it's 52 week high" currently 34.48
  11. Agreed. I like the carbon fiber trim and the solstice steering wheel
  12. currently holding steady just above it's $34 a share 52 week high. Good thing I shorted the stock, eh Buickman?
  13. You, I'm sure, realize that if that is the extent of GM's issues, it makes GM look like the paragon of reliability compared to Toyota. In addition, with the exception of the Equinox, nearly all of those problems are for discontinued or nearly discontinued models/platforms. I do want to address an issues from that site though as there is a bit of misrepresentation. 1. Equinox grinding sound while turning: The site indicates that this is a problem with the strut and multiple replacements of the strut. The problem isn't really the strut it is premature wear of the CV joint. Still a problem, yes, but one that if addressed properly the first time is resolved. This is more an issue of tech training than poor strut design.
  14. Gaah! That awful steering wheel material and texture! I had an '05 Plymouth Fury rental with that stuff. I'll admit that I might be a bit spoiled with a leather and wood steering wheel in the CTS, but that rental's texture was so unpleasant to touch. I drove with my hands on the spokes just to avoid the wheel.
  15. Ya know, it's a fine little car who's only major failing is that it is a badge job. At least it's a relatively attractive badge job.
  16. for my driver test, I parallel parked an 85 Toronado
  17. Link? Fly filled a page with them!
  18. As far as the recall's are concerned you obviously have no idea what the truth is! I have a computer at work with every GM and Toyota recall for the last 15 years or so and I promise you for every 10 GM recalls, Toyota may have 1 or 2. There are 7 on the Envoy alone and still counting. May be you should go to work for GM, it looks like that kind of thinking has been working really well for them. You can blame everyone else, but it doesn't change the fact that they created their own problem's. 207380[/snapback] The difference of course being GM issues recalls to simply apply proper seatbelt labeling yet Toyota issues a rather silent TSB for an improperly designed seatbelt setup and airbag disable switch. So, while GM may have greater in number, of the ones that count, Toyota has just as many that are severe.... and some that have been swept under the rug with secret extended warrenties.
  19. LOL @ hustler online on Wildmanjoe's computer
  20. I have a 1971 Kirby vacuum cleaner that is still going strong. Upgraded it to new, allergin blocker bags and it'll still suck the nails out of the floorboard. If it ever dies I'll buy another Kirby. Probably used, but it does show that if you want something that will last, you have to be willing to spend some money on it. Kirbys are freaking expensive. That $68 dollar Samsung DVD player from walmart may last you 3 years, but at least you won't feel guilty about throwing it out when it dies. If it were an RCA <when they were American>, and it cost $99 at walmart, people would cry to high heaven about crappy american products if it died at 5 years instead of 3.
  21. Toyota is better at PR and the fact that have legions of kool-aid swilling junkies like you who do nothing but slam GM and ignore Toyota's serious faults.
  22. it's the republicans that are against higher import tarrifs, it's the republicans that have a fiscal policy that benefits only the super wealthy, it's the republicans that are against the unions...
