  1. Odyssey that's been through the dryer too many times?!
  2. you have to remember, people are smaller over there.
  3. i remember this book
  4. There is no law, what so ever, that requires any elected official to swear on any specific book at all. He could have been sworn in with his hands in his pockets, or on Mein Kampf, or while making shadow bunnies. I think that swearing on the book that one holds most sacred is appropriate, and in this case that would be the Quran. but.... ponder this, would 68 get sworn into office using a GM Parts manual?
  5. Great shape for the miles
  6. Link Report: Kerkorian sells full stake in GM General Motors' Corp.'s painful process of reinventing itself apparently will continue without Kirk Kerkorian, whose ownership of almost 10 percent of the world's largest automaker failed to become a lever for the changes he sought. The Wall Street Journal, citing a person familiar with the matter, reported in Friday's edition that the billionaire investor sold his entire remaining investment in GM -- 28 million shares -- at $29.95 a share, a transaction worth more than $800 million. The newspaper reported that the shares were sold to Bank of America, a key lender to Kerkorian..
  7. but what if the looks of hybrids are keeping some people away? I'd never buy that pregnant shoebox Toyota calls Prius, but I'd buy an Avalanche Hybrid as long as they didn't change the looks. I'd buy an Aura hybrid as long as I could get one loaded with all the goodies. I think one of the most interesting hybrids possible would be an RX-8 hybrid. Low end torque from the electric motor and the freedom to rev to 12,000 rpm. No, my biggest 3 objections to the current crop of hybrids are: 1. They look like ass or 2. They look ok, but only come with minimal options available. or 3. The look good, come with decent options, but mileage advantage is minimized because they made it a sport model with a V-6. If Saturn makes an Aura XR Greenline that I can load up with every option, I'm sooooo there.
  8. what about running this on E85?
  9. If I could buy one loaded up like an XR but with the Green-Line engine, I would. You listening GM?
  10. Press Release Honda starting new brand to target youth market LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29, 2006 – Citing the success of Toyota's Scion division, Honda announced they are starting a new brand to target the youth market. The division will sell mainly appliance looking vehicles to 70 year olds hoping to feel young. The new brand's name will be called Oster. The new brand will debut with a single model called the 4-Slice. :see photo: With 4-Slice Broiler Convertible, 6-Slice, and MixMaster models following rapidly. The MixMaster is an innovative vehicle with multiple antenna on the roof twirling rapidly. Consumer Reports has already rated these future vehicles a "Best Buy". 11. this has to be a parody of some sort
  12. I like how they get their dig in early on in this model's life.

  18. I bet he ends up at Pegasus.
  19. you would have seen a huge amount of blood.
  20. Yes please.
  21. No, we're going to limp the car back home to Pittsburgh this morning. It's quite drivable.
  22. Is that why so many people drive Camrys?
  23. Actually the CTS handled splendidly... and you don't get brake fade from one single 1 second brake application. It was the pothole that did the damage.
  24. Crossing from PA into NJ on Route 1 today. Old man in a beige Camry merges into the right hand lane. Only problem is, there is an old Volvo 240DL wagon there with me in the left hand lane. The Volvo tried to merge into my lane, squishing me into the jersey barrier. We of course slam on the brakes, swerve as much as we can and avoid the accident, but we hit a major pot hole. Alignment is out of wack, the under engine cover is torn off and there are squeaks from the sunroof and passenger door now. Going to the dealership this week.
  25. Not anymore. Delta <the Cobalt/Ion/G5> is profitable now. W-body is so old it almost *has* to be profitable now, the major costs were amortized out in the 90s I bet. The Epsilon is likely to be profitable. G-body <DTS/Lucerne> is selling fairly ok and using mostly off the shelf technology. if anyone is a one hit wonder these days, it's Chrysler.
