  1. So... Galveston eh? Should I pack my hot swim trunks and go guy shopping?
  2. But strangely.... you could add a b-pillar if you wanted the Landau look. My 1985 Toronado looked just like this except in all black. the B-pillar can be removed with just 2 screws.
  3. Ya know... technically, GM had a line of cars with hardtops from 1979-1985. Just the back window didn't go down. The '79-'85 E-bodies did NOT have a B-pillar.
  4. there is a Cadillac equivalent? Cadillac I'm still waiting for my ETC.
  5. I'm not suprised.... they liked the last one too.
  6. I know, but in this case it was one of those special "sub-classes" that you have to click "view more cars" to get. I'm looking forward to the Acadia, but I wouldn't turn down an Outlook either. Just as long as I don't get the xTerra the travel agent was trying to foist on me.
  7. you can't really call it that anymore..... the Ass is in washington
  8. I thought that was the intake manifold gasket...
  9. I'll be arriving May 17th and leaving May 22nd. Interestingly, National is getting me an Acadia.
  10. I reserved an Acadia for my trip to Houston later this month, so anything is possible. The different is though, that when I rent cars, I seek out certain ones and I'm looking forward to having the Acadia.
  11. ah, so it's not something you and 2 friends do by foot...unless you're facing down hill.
  12. I wonder if it will have a B pillar....
  13. it's gotta have a 90/10 weight distribution with cheeks like that on the front...
  14. the only way I see that happening is if the Impala goes "Classic". Malibu is moving much closer to Impala size range.
  15. Microsoft just got in big trouble for this a few years ago....and lost. Toyota should watch out... all that needs to happen is for one of those temp workers to realize the similarity of the case and start a class action.
  16. Could you push start a Dynaflow?
  17. The CTS has a base MSRP of 29k and can be had for about 27k real world. Where do you think a Zeta Chevy/Buick/Pontiac is going to start? Edit: Keep in mind that a Catera MSRPed for 29k in 1997, so considering inflation, the price has come down.
  18. Keep in mind people that the new Malibu is coming and it's growing in size. I would expect the new Malibu to take over the Impala's sales Altima style. Impala could be trimmed back to Impala Classic and sold to Avis for a year or two before the Zeta comes. With the new, larger than before Malibu on the lot, why would you want a W-body with lesser hardware?
  19. Say what?
  20. in this regard, I might have to stand up for 68. They're already developing a Camaro convertible... how hard would it be for them to slap a non-retractable hardtop over it?
  21. my old quote comes back to life here:
  22. I could understand if car companies only made vanilla... but they don't. GM alone makes Vanilla: Chocolate: neapolitan: Lemon Sherbet: Pistachio: Strawberry: Chocolate Raspberry: What you're upset about is that they're making Dark Chocolate Macadamia when you *really* wanted Dark Chocolate Macadamia caramel crunch.
  23. I thought that too. The B-O-C were just updated sheetmetal and minor hardware changes.
  24. We really need to add this smiley to the batch of available smilies. it soooo totally goes with this thread.
