  1. it won't be the velite as we know it.....at best you'll get the name
  2. from the thread Fly posted
  3. I like Oldsmobile... I really do. That is one of the ugliest 88s I've ever seen.
  4. What about an Intrigue with the 3.8?
  5. then why not wait....? I'd be all over either of those 98s.
  6. Very few vehicles are completely error free at launch... even super important ones like the Lambdas and Tundra. Still though, catastrophic engine failure? GM hasn't had an issue like that since the 8-6-4.
  7. GM needs to have Lambda hybrids in the wings......
  8. Good to hear about the wheel hop issue. I can get the rear wheel hop in just the V6 if I'm on less than perfect pavement <i.e. all of western Pennsylvania> and that puts me into the traction control fairly quickly. I can't imagine what driving a CTS-V is like here at any speed above "brisk".
  9. Faulty airbag switch != major engine failure
  10. That's got to be some metallurgical defect for the camshaft to snap before the timing belt does.
  11. The 307 isn't unreliable, it's just not fast. Slow and steady is the name of the game here.
  12. BV will do it with anything that's got a pulse.... and when that 4-cylinder is runnin.... well....
  13. Probably got an awesome deal on it.
  14. is it any wonder that those GSXRs sound like RC cars?
  15. I usually just say, "I'm just here waiting for my car to be serviced" and they leave me alone
  16. This is one instance where I'm siding with the UAW.
  17. Isn't Volvo the only part of PAG that actually makes money for Ford?
  18. dude could stall Duramax with his fat ass....
  19. Call around and get quotes on the cost of repair first....
  20. What about AWD for all but the lowest of the low of the DTS. Improve the Lucerne enough to take over the bulk of the FWD buyers. I think it's possible that people will still go for it, I know a guy who just traded his Maxima in on a Lucerne CXL V6 because he liked that it was quieter and smoother than his Max. He's 37 years old. I drove it yesterday... and while the engine doesn't have the zing of the 3.6, it's not at all underpowered. It is vault like quiet. After spending an hour or two driving it around, I got into my CTS to drive home..... the CTS suddenly sounded loud and raucous!
  21. People are bastard covered bastards with bastard filling.
  22. As much as I'm not a fan of the looks of the car.... I'd drive it over just about any other car out there that you can get new for $190 a month....
