  1. No and No. If you read the instructions Edmunds, you'd know that it is entirely possible to lower the mid-gate with the mid-glass and tonnue covers still in place. That means you can put a nearly 2 1/2 foot tall stack of 4x8 drywall in the bed of this truck, lock the bed, and have the entire cargo and cab completely protected from weather. No one would know the truck's 4x8 cargo hold was loaded up unless they were peering through the tinted passenger windows. Yes, you can open up the mid-gate and mid-glass and remove the tonnue covers.... but I've only had to do that twice on my Avalanche.... and I do construction. The other times I've done it... it's just because it's damn fun.
  2. The hybrids don't go into any other cars at a profit either.
  3. Somewhere in Florida, an Aurora breaths a sigh of relief....
  4. I'm not at all surprised. My ex was a total VW nut and even he didn't get at all excited about any of the new VWs. He liked the Pheaton for it's interior... and that was about it.
  5. :puke: :duh: :banghead: Next up.. the "Decider" ugh... this just makes me want to throw a Starbucks double soy mocha latte - no whip at every BMW ever made.....
  6. The very idea that you say that the 66 Toronado didn't have torque steer is just plain laughable!
  7. Interestingly, both brands were once owned by the same company.
  8. The nose is about the same height as the nose on a Trailblazer
  9. I'm in DC all this week. I arrived on Sunday. In the two and a half days I've been here I've seen 6 new Toyota Avalon taxi cabs in black or beige just in the small 10 block radius I'm staying. They haven't been beat to hell and back...... yet......but I wonder how they'll hold up over time. Interestingly, DC must not have the age or mileage laws for Taxi cabs as NYC because I have seen a number of B-body wagons from all 3 divisions that made them still chugging about. On my way back from lunch, I was passed by a Custom Bruiser in surprisingly good condition for any 14 year old car, much less a cab.
  10. She's a lady. Wooh ohh oh She's a lady.

    Lexus LS600hL

Actually, I think it was Lexus's way of making a V12 sedan without spending the development money on making a V12. The equation works thusly: existing V8 + (Pruis hybrid parts * 1.75) = V12
  12. buy as much ram and the fastest RPM hard drive you can....
  13. The implication that we'll somehow be worse off by electing a Democrat to the office is offensive to all senses of reason. Even a cursory review of W's actions in office should make that clear. The current President makes Carter look effective, Ford look competent, and Nixon look open and honest.

  17. you obviously don't visit us very often....
  18. Remind me again who pushed the imigration bill and the medicare prescription drug plan......
  19. Then you're probably also unwilling to buy a tarted up Highlander or Odyssey.... which is just fine with GM because you'll probably end up with a ToroNox or Blazenvoy anyway.
  20. It's the Oz version.... duh.
  21. Gosh the refineries just came online give it a moment
