  1. *checks the URL*... I must be on the wrong site.... am I being punked?!
  2. when I drove one, I was very surprised how good it's giddy-up was considering the engine under the hood and all the armchair bitching that goes on in this forum about it.
  3. No no..... This is clearly the blue devil mule....
  4. additionally.... if they *did* nuke the dollar... it would make imports of everything *far* more expensive. The dollar wouldn't just crash against Chinese currency, it would crash against the Euro and the Yen as well. Would Japan "crash" their own currency to keep it under the dollar just to keep exports to the U.S. up? We would see a sudden need to swing manufacturing back here but wouldn't be able to react fast enough to do it. Meanwhile the chinese have caused a global recession.
  5. fixed
  6. waaaay overboard with the brown
  7. See, I have a different goal than Camino... I want to travel around and see stuff. I don't plan to stay in any one place for very long. Camino wants a big barn away from everyone where he can tinker with cars. <at least that's my impression>
  8. Trees breath CO2 you toad!
  9. I want a diesel one....
  10. What do you need 5 outhouses for? Parties?
  11. I <3 Cumberland county MD.
  12. but I think somehow you knew that answer was coming from me....
  13. 10th grade there is senior year here.
  14. I took this idea from another forum I'm on. I'd like to compare and contrast the results.
  15. As much as I will never vote for Hillary, she does have a good idea in her plan to limit foreign investment in treasury bonds. Problem is, we'd have to have a sound fiscal policy to do it... and that's not something we've had for about..... 7.5 years.
  16. I didn't even know it was up for sale. I thought that one was the keeper and the rest for for sale.
  17. and kill their exports to us? I think not.
  18. Oh nooooosss!!@!!21!!!!1 And I was going to buy a 2010 Buick LaCrosse Olympic Celebration Edition!!! :( :( :( :( :(
  19. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that you own the most influential GM fan site on the web. :AH-HA_wink:
  20. ok.... so the Buick is right in line with even the top of the line competition in terms of sales.... My point is that while I think the 3.6 should be in there as the base engine..... 3800 doesn't seem to be hurting sales.
  21. It may seem silly.... but no one has tried it yet now have they? The transverse mounted I5s and I6es and H4s and H6s still have relatively low displacement limits.
  22. Didn't the Packard Clipper or something have them too?
  23. It's length. The biggest transverse mounted <I know, I know 68> Inline 4 runs about 2.6 litres. VW's VR6 is 2.8 litres but isn't very fuel efficient for an engine of that size. Especially considering teh suxors pushrod 3500s and 3800s can pull off similar mileage in larger cars with similar engine performance numbers. If you did a VR-4 it would have the width close to an I-4 but you could have a larger displacement than 2.6. I'm just trying to think of ways to have decent power when needed but good efficiency when gas prices start heading back towards $4.00 a gallon.
