  1. While I usually disagree with what you are saying, your motivation is not malicious, and as such I'll defend to the end your right to to say your piece.
  2. Borderline on the twink status, but hottie none the less.
  3. oh you cwushed his wittle heart
  4. On the contrary, I think he realizes exactly the kind of effect he has on people here. Someone bringing bad news is fine. Someone bringing bad news while tap dancing at the front of a ticker taped marching band procession because he knows it will irritate the receivers of said bad news. completely different.
  5. In 3/4 time.. [GUITEAU] What a wonder is a gun! What a versatile invention! First of all, when you've a gun- *click* Everybody pays attention. When you think what must be done, Think of all that it can do: Remove a scoundrel, Unite a party, Preserve the Union, Promote the sales of my book, Insure my future, My niche in history, And then the world will see That I am not a man to overlook! Ha-ha! [GUITEAU,BOOTH,CZOLGOSZ] And all you have to do Is squeeze your little finger. Ease your little finger back- You can change the world. Whatever else is true, You trust your little finger. Just a single little finger Can change the world.
  6. It is far to easy to acquire a gun. If I should have to take weeks of classes, pass a written test, and pass a competency test in order to drive a car, I should have to do the same with a gun. Like cars, guns should have to be inspected yearly for proper maintenance. Historic guns not able to pass inspection should be disabled from firing. There should also be a yearly registration fee and gun owners should be required to carry additional liability insurance of a specified minimum amount. One should have to present a gun license to buy one... none of these under the table cash deals at the gun shows. Caught with a gun but without the above requirements. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Now... if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to welding my centrifuge.
  7. Rather than buying a car, my friend Dominic is going to rent me his 1996 Roadmaster Estate that he bought at the Goodwill Auto Auction. It has about 60k miles on it and drives great. However, the previous owner ran it into a pole and the inner front fenders are completely rotted away. We have almost the entire front end ripped off with just the right side inner fender yet to come off. We have the front end from a Roadmaster sedan that will replace the wagon's front end. My car payments as of January 1: $900 My car payments as of February 1: $456 My car payments as of March 1: $50
  8. Well that didn't take long.... and in under 5 minutes.
  9. Coming soon! 19xx _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
  10. I think they like curling airbag covers and broken power mirror switches even less though.... OOOOooooo but it's "soft touch" materials...
  11. I've said it before.... if the plans unfold like we've been told. My last new GM will be a CTS Coupe in Germany.
  12. Then when you post things that you know will upset users, don't do it with a big grin and tap dancing the big finale.
  13. yet still cheaper than having to pay a CAFE fine for all those G8s people are snapping up.
  14. The problem with VW/Audi interior materials <mostly VW> is that they don't hold up over time. Sure they look great on the showroom floor, but after about 4 years when that airbag cover is curling away from the dash and the scratches in the material from a finger nail and the cupholder that no longer works and the power mirrow switches that have fallen off..... they don't look quite as nice. Conversely, the G6's interior may look like tupperware... but after 4 years and some armor all, it'll still looks like new tupperware.
  15. Speaking of stunningly wrong.....
  16. The main reason I vote against banning him for now is that he does provide articles, news, and insight. However, he does post, in some cases, specifically to antagonize other members of this board. Buickman was banned for trolling with his stunningly wrong predictions and commentary.
  17. I'm definitely not a Honda guy, but I do have to give credit where credit is due. The Accord coupe is a looker...
  18. Good thing it'd be in an Astra then. 150hp in an Astra would be better than the 138hp it's got now.
  19. Don't tempt me... I have an itchy trigger finger.
  20. I loved the magnum from the outside. I loved the hemi powertrain. What scared me away was the horrid interior. I could totally see myself getting a Pontiac Safari. After the 2009 CTS Coupe, my next choice would be a 9-3 SportCombi Aero. You all are going to be REALLY surprised at what my next car is for the remainder of my stay in the U.S. :AH-HA_wink: No tattling Camino!
  21. As the owner of an automatic CTS, I have to disagree. The CTS's automatic is far more intelligent than the Cooper's. The CTS in sport mode, even without paddle shifters, seems to read your mind about holding a lower gear or shifting up. It will hold a gear all the way up to red-line and let you run there for quite a while before self preservation mode kicks in, calls you an idiot, and it upshifts. All that said, this entire thread was directed at the normally BMW humping O.C. who was criticizing the rocker button manu-matic mode in the Enlcave... and just showing him that BMW does the same thing with the Cooper, only not as smoothly and not as smartly. My favorite FlexCar is still Camino's Civic Hybrid. I've taken out a Toyota Solara Convertible once and it was a complete pile. If I take it again I'm bringing my camera and writing a review of that one. For one, the shifter is just plain idiotic just for the sake of being "modern". For two, the thing had more body flex and cowl shake than my 160k mile Cutlass Convertible.
  22. + engine access. They had that door open at one point while I was there....
  23. What would be the point then? If it's just going to perform the same and get the same fuel economy.... why not just stick with the existing engine?
  24. anyone else think it looks like they ripped the headlights off the Zetas?
  25. ... and not going to be available in the US.
