I'm not even concerned about CAFE. How many Zeta Park Aves would they sell at 45k anyway? Park Ave sales have been down in China. Take that capacity to the US. Even if GM only sold 1,000 of them a month, that's 12,000 more sales per year with no additional development costs!

Can someone tell me why the Zeta can't be sold in the U.S. and what further costs besides shipping it would bring? The thing is developed... it's on the road in other countries... why can't it be sold here? They have a fully developed, RWD Park Ave that uses off the shelf N.A. drivetrain. Why can't it be sold here? They have a fully developed, G8 ST. Why can't it be sold here? They have a fully developed RWD Chevy Caprice. Why can't it be sold here? They have a line to build Zetas in Canada. Tool up the suppliers and crank 'em out!

Not cheap.... because they'd go out and spend the same or more for a V6 Accord. Because it's a Pontiac, they want the rebates.

A big problem though is GM's lack of control over it's dealers. The dealer markup on this car is bad. If GM could just set the price appropriately and keep the dealers from the ADM, there wouldn't be this rebate issue.
