  1. Cheers Knightfan!
  2. Personally, I think it is part of civic duty to serve on a jury. I have never done anything intentional to get out of Jury duty. PA has motor voter laws. When you get your driver's license they, by default, register you to vote unless you opt out. When you move inside the state, they automatically update your voter registration.
  3. Aimed squarely at the MKs, ES, and GS
  4. That would make sense.... it would be somewhat visually similar to the Vibe.
  5. Come on, make Duhbuya proud! Remember this is allegedly her sole area of expertise and she's barely above high school level.
  6. HAHAH
  7. I would want a alternative energy Manhattan Project.
  8. Hey now... she cut government spending! Is this the compassionate conservatism Bush was talking about?
  9. Awesome! oh.... wait.... Oh well.... at least: I've decided I'm going to start a campaign to be Vice-Admin of C&G! I propose that we move our site away from Dreamhost and onto Bluehost.
  10. I'm voting for Obama for his tax plan. I'm voting for Obama for his calm, cool, consideration of facts and willingness to hear both sides. I'm voting for Obama for his greater interest in alternative energy. I'm voting for Obama for his emphasis on diplomacy. I'm voting for Obama because he is against a federal marriage amendment.
  11. Safari Special
  12. He requested his account be deleted.
  13. I suggest that you read up, in depth, on Obama's position on that bill. It was my impression that Obama did not support the bill because he felt it was trying to do an end run around woman's choice. His position, as I read it, is that a baby that is born alive during an abortion falls under the homicide laws and any offending doctor should be prosecuted accordingly. He's not in favor of killing babies... he's against dumb laws. edit: and to clarify... there was never a bill that denied treatment for these babies, so he could not have supported one. It was a bill that required a second opinion on the viability of the baby.
  14. I am certain this is lunatic fringe. Equally lunatic, but on the other side is the position that no abortions should ever occur, but at the same time teach abstinence only sex ed, and oppose gay families from adopting the resulting unwanted babies because it's apparently better for children to grow up permanently in foster care than it is for them to have two stable dads/moms. Unfortunately, we know Palin supports the first two and given that she supports "Pray away the gay", I'm guessing she supports the third. This is one of those "Pick two" situations.
  15. GM and Ford have used plastic engine components before with not so great results.... I'm hoping this new material does better.
  16. if he is lying about something so easily verifiable, that's just as bad as McCain/Palin.
  17. Scott Horton explains how Sarah Palin has used Bush justice: You really want more of this?
  18. I think they are mis-wording the call for energy independence.... but the pocketbook is the best way to connect to most voters.
  19. Warren Buffet buying the biggest competitor to the company I work for.
  20. Here goes Wachovia..... looks like they'll be bought up by Morgan Stanley
  21. Clearly Sen. John S. McCain III is the most qualified to serve our country, as he served our country in a war, and was a POW. He will protect us from terrorist-sponsoring countries like Iran, Syria, and Spain. He knows the threat of the Russian bear, and he has dispatched Palin the Hunter to kill it. He understands that the fundamentals of this economy are stronger than ever, and that $12 trillion debt is an inconsequential, peripheral detail. He understands the threat of lobbyists to Washington, which is why the employs them as a majority of his staff (keep your enemies close!) Geezer/Giget 'O8 </sarcasm>
  22. Pollster.com agregates all of the polls released, weights them, and comes up with a number based on that. The old polls include rammussan, ARG, etc. But prior to Super Tuesday, I don't much care.
  23. The development is coming at a snails pace in university research labs. Put the R&D of Honda, GM, Ford, or Toyota behind it and it'll go much faster. You're right about PBMRs not being new technology, but they require a large upfront investment (and the changing of U.S. law) in order to come to fruition. Cutting government spending is a different thread entirely. We already collect tax on non-renewable energy. I would increase that tax and dedicate that increase to spending on renewable energy development.
  24. to be fair, I don't care either way. There were 14 candidates in the field back then... the poles were irrelevant unless you were comparing intra-party.
  25. It's an Opel... what did you want, yet another Zeta clone? If Opels are anything, they're VW alternatives.
