  1. Now you know that's not true. They have crash standards too. There is no way a balsa wood car would stand up to a 95mph off set frontal crash test. Now Bamboo... that's doable. Very strong and very renewable.
  2. Unless you're regularly winding the engine up over 5,000 rpm, don't bother. Stock up on standard filters and be done with it.
  3. Sure they do. They don't bring over the cloth seat, hand crank window 3-series. They don't bring over the FWD A8. I'm sure there is more. But nearly all of the "premium" Euros are available over there in non-premium form. E-class is one of the most common taxis I see in germany.
  4. What year was it? The 2000s and 2001s were firmed up a lot.
  5. If you're going to launch it, launch it right. If you don't have the money to launch it right, don't launch it at all.
  6. Yes they do. By then the bugs had been worked out. There were engine sensor and pulley changes that made it by then. The engine was also detuned and used in the Saturn LS starting in 2000.
  7. Chrysler of some sort.
  8. This was already posted.
  9. Think of it another way. Americans have long felt that all things French are more refined, luxurious, and "special". Furthermore, I really feel that the names in a brand should reflect a theme in some way. Some sort of connection. All french names would work like that. I once had suggested that Saturn, in a nod to the brand name and to the hope that they would go all hybrid, go with Ion, Proton, Electron, Neutron, Compound (good for SUV),
  10. Sure, the Cobalt comes in colors other than blue.
  11. My BF Albert suggests Buick Orion
  12. Buick Grande Vitesse - means "High speed" Buick Recherche' - means "excessively refined" Buick Redivivus - mean "To be brought back to life ; Reborn" - second pronunciation Edit: more I really like this one: Buick Revanche - "to reclaim lost status"
  13. Didn't China get a Buick Statesman? Cancel the GMC and you could have Buick Statesman, Envoy, Attache', Ambassador,
  14. As much as I liked my CTS, I thought the name was stupid. I hate the alpha numerics.. It's just gotta be a real word, no matter the language.
  15. Buick Zenith, Zeal, Zealot
  16. Agila? What's that? Vaio? Sony will have a problem with that one. I just like Apollo because it sounds strong. No one outside of us will remember it. It's a real name.
  17. Buick Rival Buick Raven
  18. Sorry, I have to ban you now.
  19. How many outside of C&G and boards like it would even know there was once a Buick called Apollo? I'm not against Skylark.
  20. Buick Apollo? If the make a small coupe version, the obvious choice is Reatta
  21. Cruze is Delta II, just like the next gen Astra, 9-3, and apparently this Buick
  22. Dodge something.
  23. In typical GM fashion, the reliability issues had been fixed in the final two years.
  24. What do you do to your cars man? Ford was never able to make a decent FWD automatic and wisely outsourced that to GM, but their RWDs were reliable if a bit clunky.
  25. Since you've already been fisked by other users about your stupidly inaccurate A8 information but I want you to think about this next one for a second. Do you really think people cross shopping Acura, Lincoln, and Buick are going to care if the car gets to 60 in 6.9 seconds instead of 6.3?
