Since you've been harping on GM for years for it's 4-speed automatics, I'll open up a thread in the Toyota forum for you so you can do the same for the Corolla's 4-speed auto that comes with every trim except the XRS.

There is no such thing as "proven" oil reserves unless you're only counting what's already been pumped out of the ground and is sitting in a storage tank. We may be better at finding it, but even that last "big" oil field find down in the Gulf of Mexico didn't even crack the top 20 operational oil fields in terms of size. Even if you believe that oil comes from some magical fountain in Narnia, we should be researching other fuels so we can move some eggs out of this single basket they've been sitting in for about 100 years.

Was that with some component on the distributor? My Continental popped off come $400 circuit board that caused it to stop sparking and then raw fuel was being dumped down into the exhaust. The catalytic converters caught on fire. Luckily there was a state trooper not far behind me with a fire extinguisher.

Both vehicles I had with digital and/or talking dashes lasted well over 100k miles. The Toronado had to have it's rebuilt due to an arc from a loose connection. The Continental's lasted till the bitter end.

It's the SMK like "enthusiasts" that kill the industry.
