  1. YUP!!!!!! That he did! Do you know what he raced, or what infamous event happened while he was drag racing?
  2. How about some of the higher powered better performing cars made available for LESS MONEY! I wouldn't think the Caddy CTS-V should be in any list of this kind, it moves pretty good already. A car I likeD that should HAVE had more power.... it's been out of production for a couple years now.... the Prowler. 250hpV6 was OK, but it coulda been a statement car.
  3. Nope! Not Ford... It wasn't even Nascar....
  4. Something had to slow them down, mother nature seems to have been the last resort.
  5. THANK YOU.
  6. You wanna deal with this bozo Flybrian, or would you like me to?

Looking at your avatar I know you want me. But you can't have me. Not even close. I'm thinking of the river in Egypt.... in more ways than one.
  8. 383 cubes it was! 4.25 x3.38 and 4.03 x 3.75 (SBC stroker guys notice the RB version?) When Nascar banned the 426 Hemi soon after it debuted Richard Petty went racing elsewhere. Do you know what he went racing in? Which racing venue?
  9. Hmmmm.... Maybe, just MAYBE I might have a different answer! I know there was a red car that ran at a track that was an L88 car, many people mistook it for a ZL-1. But.... Kevin Suydam- Oct 68 white car Roger Judski- Sept 69 yellow car (blown engine car) John Maher- Dec 68 orange car Any ZL-1 experts gonna chime in? It's commonly accepted 2 Corvettes and 69 Camaros. Is it..... THREE??
  10. Actually, the pentastar has been around LONG before the K cars, there are plenty of new hot Dodges (I know, the Viper, LX cars, Crossfire, Ram trucks etc... are "unattractive exterior designs" ) the new Hemi MDS with the electronic 5 speed is VERY modern, some of the interiors are VERY creature comfort oriented, etc etc etc. But aside from THAT...... What's with repeating all the sour grapes all the time for some of you? It's like a broken, but INNACURATE, record. Have a look at the LXForums, and see how many DISsatisfied Charger/Magnum/300 owners there are. You'll be surprised! :AH-HA_wink:

Yes I did. I hope it's not too..... provocative...
  12. Powerglide cars with rear pumps can be push started to, I've done it myself. I think the consensus is 15-20mph, depending on the gears. 1958 Chevys were a one year only deal because the "opposition" came out with long low cars in 1957. 1959 cars were rushed out in response. What did the early 1955 Chevy V8 cars come produced WITHOUT? If you KNOW, you won't need a hint....
  13. I got Corvette trivia, let's see if we get a unanimous answer.... LOL Simple- How many 1969 Corvettes were made with the ZL-1 option? Two? Three? Was the red car a ZL-1 or an L88 car? GO!!!!!!!
  14. B/RB engines shared one displacement.. what was it?

    Here I am last week.....
  16. Aussie Utes are the best. Isn't "Valiant" the actual MAKE down there, not the model..? Like Valiant Charger?
  17. Rampages had galvanized main body panels and weren't prone to any more damage in collisions than similar compacts, but like the other 024 based vehicles they WERE prone to carb fires. I owned one almost identical to the one in the first pic, it was the first 2.2 powered vehicle I ever owned, and it wasn't bad to be honest.... I "Shelby-ized" mine with a burnt carb Shelby Charger, suspension, wheels, etc... Great parts chasers.
  18. Hahaha!!!!!!! Sorry! I'm not even gonna mention the MaxxCabb concept thingie.... Oops!!!!!!!
  19. OK, yer right! Is that a 1960 Buick in your pic?
  20. Yup. I agree.... Check for tracking too, maybe run the car at night with the hood up, look for spark tracing where there shouldn't be any..?
  21. High pressures could be thicker viscosity oil, tight tolerances, or blocked passages among other things. Could be the sending unit or the gauge. Is there any way to toss a mechanical gauge on it to verify the pressure?
  22. What about the mid 80's K car FWD Charger? Nobody screamed when they came and passed.... LOL The Nova was a mid 1980's nightmare too! Or the late 70's Challenger. The name game. I liked the mid 1980's Monte SS but after that I think things started to go downhill..?
  23. "Die-hard MOPAR enthusiasts" don't CARE about K car Dodge/Plymouth variations. The GLH-S was a quick little car, many of the turboII or (rare) turboiV cars were quick, but most die-hard MOPAR guys remember pentastars on the passenger side fender of their 60's and 70's cars. Not K cars. *shrugs*
  24. Haha I would like the pushbutton back too! That Caravan shifter reminds me of the dash mounted A100 shifters... It looks OK on the outside, better on the inside IMO. I kinda like the interiors.
  25. Which, the early 90s K car and the early 80's trunkless models? Neither was a very inspiring car, the 80's at least had EFI as a novelty attraction, but that soon wore out when the EFI failed to work... Most early 80's Imperials have been converted to carbs long ago.
