  1. I've seen a few at car lots. I guess it'll just take time. Same with the new Chrysler minivans, I didn't see them for a month or so when they came out and now they are creeping into regular view slowly. I think some people figure they will just fill the freeways overnight..? :AH-HA_wink:
  2. Read the answers below CLOWN.
  3. From what I have HEARD the Magnum is getting shut down to make way for Challenger purposes, it seems silly to me that the Magnum's underpinnings are LX based and therefore the car could be produced with little real cost, but what do I know about business! :AH-HA_wink: Magnum owners are all hoping the limited production numbers will drive the future prices up, but they are too mass produced IMO to do that...
  4. I've seen a few on various car lots, but still have not seen ONE 2008 Malibu on the road yet...
  5. I don't see many Aztecs at all ever, so the shock for me isn't there I guess.... You WERE talking about the Aztec, right..????
  6. All domestics can have that kind of lame comment directed at them IMO. If GM thinks the new Malibu will turn around the tide against the imports I fear they have a big wake up call coming. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Hahaha Let's see.... MY WIFE DRIVES A MAGNUM R/T EVERY DAY. AND SHE LOVVVEEESSS IT!!!!!!!!! (The capitals are for YELLING, so you can HEAR ME!) hahahaha Lots of women driving LX cars everywhere. We have several in our neighbourhood. You're just blinded by brand hatred reg. You need to go into a 12 step program..... :AH-HA_wink:
  8. I better hope those tires are pretty skinny, cause if they ARE 335 series tires, they'll be taller than the car!!! OK. Who's responsible for fixing typos..?
  9. Well, I still had seen ZERO Malibus driving as of this morning, so I went to the dealership. I'm not sure this car is as tremendously styled as suggested...? The basic body shape is nice IMO, but I'm not really in love with the front/grill treatment. The rear is often complained about, but I liked the rear styling better than the front end styling. I find it odd I haven't seen one driving in traffic yet, maybe there are bigger markets hogging all the early sales or something?

    2009 Dodge Ram

Looks nothing like the Mustang for me. Mind you, I find the Tundra to be one of the WORST styled pickups on the market, anything made to look more like a Tundra is a step in the WRONG direction. For ANY fullsize truck. Maybe it's a beer goggles thing? :AH-HA_wink:

    2009 Dodge Ram

OK. This is more believable anyways......

    2009 Dodge Ram

I guess I'll have to wait and see more pics, but I don't like it's looks as much as the 2008 from those pics....
  13. HUH? LOL The K car was produced on an entirely different scale than the GM X cars. Take a look at the recalls versus the number of vehicles made. The GM X car was only made from 1980 to 1985, the K car was produced in MUCH higher numbers for three times as long. The Chrysler K car was a bland crappy entry level car, but it was head and shoulders better than the Citation and it's derivatives were. NO comparison. The Aspen/Volares rusted and had rust issues for sure, but they were mechanically not that bad a vehicle. ALL domestic cars had rust issues 30 years ago though. Sad, but true.
  14. The only thing "notorious" about the Aspen/Volare was they were entirely BLAND.
  15. I have now seen ONE new Accord and STILLLLL have not seen a single Malibu. I drive ALOT every day too. Maybe we don't get the new Malibus as quickly as some other cities, but I can't believe I still haven't seen a single one.

    New " Cuda "

Furys were produced until 1978. They were NOT an "enthusiasts" car, unless the cop car versions count.... The Prowler was a MUCH more desirable Plymouth IMO.
  17. The R/T Challengers will have the 5.7 Hemi with MDS, they *might* evade the tax. The gas guzzler tax will apply to the 2008 version of the Challenger, and ALL are the 425hp 6.1 Hemi auto.
  18. I've owned a few MoPars with the trunk release in the glovebox. I've never seen an auto tranny NOT filled through the dipstick. While BMW might not have a tranny dipstick neither does the 300/Charger/Magnum with the 5 speed Mercedes auto. The reasoning is they don't WANT people checking and adjusting the fluid levels, they want to do the $ervice them$elve$. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Sounds odd to me, I would figure a 2003 vehicle would have a lockout of some sort so it can't engage the starter while running. I've seen starters installed slightly off that wouldn't "allow" the starter to disengage (mechanically) or starters which would continue to engage even after release of the key due to the bendix.
  20. Prices and gas guzzler taxes are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. A car's MSRP is not "changed" because someone then figures in the gas guzzler tax! I'm assuming another thread will be started when the destination charges and PDI costs are factored in too. LOL!!! Come on guys. *sigh*
  21. I can see you aren't "up" on the Chrysler stuff.... :AH-HA_wink: The SRT is definitely the "top of the line" performance model, the R/T is definitely a lower priced model comparatively. R/T cars come with either the 340hp or 350hp 5.7 Hemi, and are generally about 10K less than the SRT cars in the other LX platforms. The Camaro performance figures and the pricing aren't out yet are they? Guesses don't do much as far as accuracy goes. The last generation of Camaro available had some VERY high prices for their top of the line cars. If you think the top of the line Camaro is going to run mid 12's, and have a sticker price of less than $30,000 I think you are dreaming. Time will tell though... Gas guzzler taxes will apply to every car you mention. If you think the highest power Camaro will evade the gas guzzler tax I will have to wait to break the news to you when it comes out, because I will bet the bank it will get a gas guzzler tax too. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. It's been ANOTHER week and I still haven't seen even ONE Malibu. Maybe the "careening" is done in other places...? Am I alone? Has anybody else not seen ONE yet?
  23. Like I said, rumor rumor rumor.... but if the Camaro's top of the line highest performance Camaro comes in as more expensive, I'm sure this place is gonna be a comic relief.... :AH-HA_wink: $40,000 for a mid 12 true musclecar (or $38,000 for a true musclecar) won't turn off buyers IMO.
  24. Did you EVER "see" anybody ever buying a Pontiac Aztec..? LOL Some people buy anything at all. If they will buy an Aztec they will buy cow manure on wheels IMO. Don't ya think? :AH-HA_wink:
  25. The SRT8 Challenger is a top shelf muscle car, the Challengers that are "base models" will start at considerably less. Apples, meet oranges. If the top of the line Camaro comes in at an estimated $37,000 or more it's gonna be funny in this thread, don't ya think? LOL!!!!!!!
