  1. Okay....this was quick. The order went in on 7-10-06 at the dealership (Cadillac of Lynwood, on Long Island.....a friend's store) and it was shipped on 8-4-06 (less than a month.) Estimated to arrive at Tustin Cadillac in Orange County on or before 8-18-06. 2007 CTS "Sport" (mesh grille, 12-spoke polished 18-inch wheels, rocker panel moldings, rear spoiler, unique rear fascia, chrome exhaust tips, performance suspension, steering, and brakes) MSRP - $40,840 Black Raven/Ebony LY7 - 3.6L 255hp V6 VVT Engine MN6 - Transmission, 6 spd manual AM9 - Seat, rear, split-folding CF5 - Express open sunroof U2S - AM/FM stereo, 6-disc CD changer, Bose sound system Y41 - Luxury package Does anyone see many of these? I've only seen ONE "Sport" around here. All the other CTSs are base or 17-inch sport packages. In fact, dealers don't stock the "Sport" very often either. Is it because it's kinda pricey? I don't know. I know I'm looking forward to it!
  2. Don't be so sure...... I just got a chance to borrow an '06 Mustang GT for a few days and the MSRP on this (admittedly-loaded) car was over $32K (it had, for example, the $1,200 Shaker 1000 stereo.) That's touching BMW 325i and (base) Infiniti G35 Coupe pricing. (oh by the way.....the car is WAY nicer than I ever thought I'd be giving credit to a Mustang for....much smoother and more solid than I really thought it would be.)
  3. The modern diesels.....even the truck diesels.....really aren't slow anymore. I think the slowest I've seen in any recent buff mag test still dropped well below 10secs 0-60....and I think that was a Ram Cummins....I think it was like low-to-mid 9sec range 0-60. Seems to me that the GM Duramax was a pretty consistent mid-to-high 8sec range on the 0-60 run.
  4. Hey what's the driveability like with the 6-speed manual? Is the clutch heavy? Is the shifter smooth? I bet it's like driving a semi.....!
  5. Very similar..... I had them in my crotch hair and the hair on my stomach..... It itches....and when you scratch, and they come out, they look like very tiny little crabs.... I had one on my finger and could see it moving around and shit....it FREAKED me out.... They are pretty easy to take care of.....you just get that lice stuff and wash your pubes/hair with it....and wash your sheets....and that pretty much does it. I trimmed/shaved all my body hair too....just to be careful. (GOD I can't believe I'm throwing all this out there on C&G.......) BUT I can say that IS the only STD I've EVER had.....ONE (and only one) case of crabs.... <knocking on my wooden desk>
  6. How so? Can you give us the "short" version of the story?
  7. Sorry...... Fly's been driving me to drinking and the lack of focus from the Tequila shots has taken me off topic.....
  8. From "In Living Color...." "Men on C&G" "Hi....my name is Blaine.... ...and I'm Antoine...."
  9. Ooooooooo...... Don't tempt my tummy with the taste 'o nuts 'n honey..... <big gay swish of the hand>
  10. Okay....I know....TMI....BUT it was really wierd to get them 'cause I never had them before.... ....and it was freaky! (I was SO embarrassed buying the lice medicine at Sav-On Drugs....)
  11. OK....new game..... WHO'S had them? (crabs) I did....once....it was GROSS....and freaky.....and I know the guy that gave them to me....... Never had them since.....
  12. I figured....but I had to give you shit anyways....
  13. YES....thank you. I've just been so busy it's all I can do to just be able to post a few things on here...much less get serious about getting some pics up.... But I will....I promise... I know you are just dying to see a picture of my mug so that you can print out a copy and paste your bedroom walls with it.... LOL
  14. Taglines irrelevant? WhatEVER....."The Ultimate Driving Machine" certainly hasn't been irrelevant to BMW.....and Cadillac was known for a LONG time as "The Standard of the World." Engines are coming? Do YOU know something I don't know? So far, I haven't heard any confirmation of any engine plans for Lucerne other than the current offerings...? You wonder how many Lucernes are sold with bench seats? You make the assumption it's very few....so MY point exactly. Why offer it? You also TOTALLY missed my point about the suspension tuning. As far as your ranting about the features.....uh.....these are things that people appreciate and the competition if offering....en masse....if you don't or can't realize that, then I'm sorry....? There's NOTHING "Japanese" about the seat fabric Buick is using on base CX Lucernes. Oh....and about all our "government vehicles being Asian?" Sorry to tell you my friend....that time is ALREADY here. Washington D.C. has an overwhelming majority of import cars just like other east coast cities and California.
  15. GOD I luv "arguing" with you.....
  16. Speaking of Ramming and Balljoints.... I've got to run to the restroom.....will be back soon....
  17. But..... One could argue that CHEVY itself needs those powertrains JUST to be competitive themselves in the marketplace. AND even a 3.9L pushrod V6 wouldn't make Equinox and/or Torrent competitive with a 265hp Ford Edge or a 270(?)hp RAV-4.....
  18. It's not hot..... BUT...Croc.... If you put a picture of yourself up there.....wearing a tight-fitting belly-shirt.... THAT would be HOT....!
  19. Actually I disagree. To me, the Pontiac is the least-attractive due to it's cheesy boy-racerish-without-the-ability-to-back-it-up looks........ I'm not a fan of any of the three's long front and rear overhangs.....but I'd have to say I'm more attracted to the Impala's conservative, attractive, yet bland looks to the GP's. LaCrosse at least adds some attempts at style with it's pseudo-Lexus front end.
  20. You really are quite humorous..... Unfortunately (for you and others like you) the market is responding (or should I say NOT responding) to GM's recent product decisions.....and that is not good news for GM. It's just sad you can't see the big picture. I'll just be comfortable somewhat that my criticisms and comments are being vindicated by that very same marketplace.
  21. You'd like to believe that...... Instead of agreeing that I'm offering fair criticism.....whether you think I'm right or not....
  22. I agree....."frumpy" is how I'd describe them. I like the cleaned-up lines aft of the A-pillar though. I'm really happy about the interiors. Hopefully materials and fit-and-finish on the "lower-level" interiors will be a match for the "upscale, SUV-like" interiors. Frumpy they are unfortunately. However, the beauty in these trucks will be the powertrains, ride-and-handling, and work capabilities.
  23. I'm sure each rental market probably differs some.... .....but at one time last year, Turbo200 put up some statistics on what cars sold in what percentages to fleet/rental. The (old) Impala was up at 62% fleet.....Camry, I believe was around 25% fleet.....and Taurus was like 75% fleet.
