  1. ????????? The grille and headlights are the only real (kindof) unique parts of the LaCrosse design......so if you don't think THOSE were done quite right, then what of the rest of the design do you consider "flashy and impressive?" To me, everytime I see a LaCrosse going down the road, it does nothing but remind me about the "old" GM and the "old" Buick. To me, there's nothing flashy, impressive, or sophisticated about this car.... To me, it looks like a slightly more-attractive Taurus......from all angles....and that's not something I want Buicks to remind me of.....
  2. A fully-loaded CXS is about $32-33-ish.....I fully concur that they'll price the Super at $35K....I bet....
  3. I'll be there Friday, Saturday, Sunday of next week (1-19 to 1-21) Anyone else going that weekend? I got a room at the RenCen Marriott for only $120/night.....which I think is really good for a "full-service" Marriott downtown within walking distance of Cobo......(in fact, it was a bit cheaper than the Courtyard Marriott across the street.....)
  4. Hmmmm.....I'm sure I could find a thread SOMEwhere with you singing the praises of the Cobalt SS/SC "coupe" :AH-HA_wink:

    Pictures!

THANK you SOOOOO much for including a picture of Joey Lawrence...... Damn.....that boy makes me wanna cry......
  6. The front of the CTS rocks..... My whole point was that from the A-pillar back, the MKR looks much more dramatic and bold.....CTS is slab-sided in comparison with nary a crease to continue the theme that the front so clearly evokes....from A-pillar to C-pillar, it looks way too Lexus-IS'ish for me...
  7. OK..... I'm going to throw this WHOLE thread into an uproar....... You know what would have made me happy about the new CTS? The Lincoln MKR concept.....from the A-pillar back.....! Take the MKR's horizontal taillights away and give the car tail-fin-type vertical taillights.....and that's the kind of aggression in body design I was hoping for from the new CTS.
  8. Hmmm......really like the looks of this car! However, I'm not impressed with a 4.9sec 0-60.......did this car get seriously heavy or what? C&D shot a new 335i coupe from 0-60 in 4.8sec......and that was with a manual but 100 less horsepower......
  9. LOL, LOL, LOL You don't think that GM isn't targeting CamCord sales? That segment is a totally different animal than the full-size pickup segment.
  10. Chris, That was GENIUS...! Pure GENIUS...! Cheers, Chris
  11. Hmmmm.....coming from someone that has no experience with BMWs. I've owned a few 3-series' in my time.....and I own a CTS now. So therefore, I have the PERSONAL EXPERIENCE to talk about both cars. As much as I love my current CTS, I wish I would have waited for the new 335i (twin-turbo I6) coupe. And, yes....I think it WOULD have been worth the approximately $6,000 more in MSRP over my Cadillac. If I was THAT ego-driven, I NEVER would have purchased a GM car in southern California in the first place. I would have simply gotten another 3-series. I LIKE the 3-series because it's one of the best-driving, best-handling cars I've ever owned.....and it has one of the smoothest and silkiest 6-cylinder engines in the industry. AND, (shock, shock) I actually like the size of the 3-series. It's luxury/sport driving in a more compact package. The fit-and-finish and quality of materials also blows away anything from GM.....(although new CTS looks to be putting up a good fight in that arena.) Your baseless opinions about, in your words, "alot of them (3-series drivers)" reeks of sheer ignorance on your part. Reg, I like you and your posts.....but in this case, I think you are fighting a battle you can not rationally win.....
  12. Sit in both man......I have. In real-world comfort, there's not much between them. Don't let the 3's exterior size be the only thing you base your opinions on.....the new model is much roomier inside (especially in the back seat) than the old one....
  13. In all their bitching, everyone on here seems to have forgotten that Toyota has NO intention of out-selling Chevy or Ford. They have a specific business plan in place to build and sell a certain number of Tundras to 1) increase their share of the market in that segment and 2) make a profit. Last I saw, Toyota was pitching about $200K annually once production is ramped up. That's a significant increase for the brand and model but nowhere near where GM and Ford are.....and they aren't trying to be there (yet.)
  14. Your comments about the 3 are nothing more than generalizations and are hardly based on factual information about 3-series owners or intenders. And frankly, seat-track to seat-track.....a 3-series is far more generous in room than a CTS....in the driver's seat. My ex (6'0 but long legs) could get the seat in my 330Ci convertible so far back, he couldn't reach the pedals. In my CTS, his bent knees almost touch the lower dash....WITH the seat all the way back on it's tracks.
  15. Well, they still have all the other readouts for the DIC that they've somehow configured for the nav system.......or why didn't they move the TPMS into the IP like on the v-series?.....and doesn't the 17-inch "sport" package also offer a TPMS?
  16. OMG......LOL......look at what Uncyclopedia says about "California" Make sure you read it all, including the "government" section.....I was ROTFLMAO http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/California Cheers....!
  17. Does anyone else find it kind of "funny" that "AIDS" never appeared until just recently? (Like what, the early 80's?) It's also interesting that NO ONE ever dies of "AIDS".......they die of things like pneumonia and other things supposedly "brought on" by the presence of the HIV infection..... There are those out there (I'm not necessarily one....just inviting interesting conversation) that "AIDS" is a more-or-less fictional creation by the drug and medical companies to describe a general weakening of the immune system. Look at how much money current "AIDS" sufferers spend on drugs to keep them healthy. AND, they ARE staying healthy....most living long and fruitful lives.....spending god knows how much money each year on drugs and health care.....to the drug and medical companies..... Why do you think the impovershed countries on the African continent have such high rates of "AIDS?" Do you think it's because of all the unprotected sex they are having?? Well, they've been doing that supposedly for centuries.....why just now would "AIDS" take such a toll? Those poor people are dying because of malnutrition and disease. It's only natural that living conditions such as they ones they face would cause an eventual weakening of the immune system in those people.....look at the unsafe and unclean conditions they live in. Someone just decided to start calling it "AIDS." Just an interesting thought.....had a friend that spelled out his "theory" some time ago....and while I don't know if I subscribe to it (I have friends that are "HIV positive") it does bring one to thinking...... Remember....no one "knew" about it before say 1980.......
  18. The O.C.

    Pictures!

    He's hot.....and has a GREAT body......YUM
  19. THANK you...... I can't believe the piece of garbage they are showing us above.....(the black "street" edition G6) Makes a joke out of the whole Pontiac image.....
  20. And how can you be so sure that IF Tundra WAS in ToTY it would have been beaten by Silverado? Your post makes no sense and seems pretty mindless.....trying to infer that Toyota delayed production so that they wouldn't have to face Chevy in ToTY? That's ridiculous....... They decided to delay production until they could release the truck with it's VOLUME (60% of production according to Toyota) 5.7L V8 engine.
  21. OK.....just for the sake of argument...... * fine truck as it is, what NEW TO THE SEGMENT did the Silverado bring to the table? Nothing more than Tundra....... * Tundra's VOLUME engine will be the 5.7L 381hp V8 (60% of production according to Toyota) which TRUMPS GM's "volume" engine....... * "Styling" is subjective.....not objective.....so let's quit beating that argument to death...... * How is the "upscale" Silverado interior any more "well-suited" to a work truck than Tundra's......???? For that matter, how is Silverado's "work truck" interior any more well suited (other than a bench and column shifter versus Toyota's floor shifter.)
  22. In the GMC, it's only 380......the 400+ hp number is exclusive to the Escalade.
  23. That's an interesting comment for you to make......considering the sheer number of 3-series BMWs that the company DOES sell. I'd hardly call it a "small and useless" car. In fact, it has as much trunk room as my CTS.....and the rear seat is every bit as roomy as my car's......so just how DO you justify your classification of the 3-Series as "small and useless?"
  24. LOL.....oh trust me....(I have a manual 3.6L Sport)......IT'S AN ISSUE.....
  25. You TOTALLY hit the nail on the head. STILL a beautiful and classy car......but it seems to me like Caddy decided it needed to "dumb it down" a bit in regards to the "knife-edge" styling in order to capture a larger piece of the entry-luxury segment (maybe not a bad decision from a sales standpoint.) It lacks the controversial "edge" to it that I believe made the CTS a winner in the first place......you really could say that no other entry-luxury car in the segment looked like a CTS.....now, aside from the great front-end, it doesn't look that distinctive anymore.....doesn't have that much to make it stand out from the IS, new C-Class (coming soon), or even Audi or Acura..... EVEN that wonderful new interior is now "just" competitive with what's out there.....the new interior doesn't stand out from the competition like the current "blocky" one does....but at least if it doesn't stand out, it will be recognized as every bit as competitive from a design, materials, and quality standpoint. I still like it....and will look forward to seeing it in person.
