  1. But...it's still apples-to-oranges..... It's an almost-useless argument to be having.....comparing the two...... Now you want to debate the merits of the RDX with it's powertrain versus, say, a BMW X3 with the inline-6....? Okay that's a constructive argument to have.
  2. Hence your ignorance (in the nicest way, but lack of a better word) about the brand. I too didn't "get it" before I bought (OK leased) my first BMW.....but now I do. There's something about the whole product.....the way it drives, feels, performs, sounds. It's like nothing else out there. Now if you are someone that is devoted to, let's say, old-school domestic-car values like cushy suspensions, tuffeted velour seats, and chrome rocker panels.......you may not "get it" with the BMW. But those TRUE fans of "cushy suspensions, tuffeted velour seats, and chrome rocker panels" are a dying breed. That's why you see GM introduce a new-gen CTS that tries to mimic more-and-more of the driving feel of that BMW brand.....as opposed to going the opposite way.... It's like why the CTS is getting all the "headlines" and not the DTS......
  3. Well, I didn't intend this to be a "Drop GMC" debate......but with the addition of the Traverse.....Acadia is more-and-more redundant.
  4. Yeah....well, that "straight boy" "I don't give a $h! how I look" look is prolly attracting the gay boys to you at KU......LOL..... Yeah....I remember the hot girls were few and far between at KU.....and the one's that WERE good looking.....KNEW IT....and worked it....to excess.......

OMG you have no idea..... I somehow managed to graduate and get good grades.....but GMI was a 5-year-long drunkfest for me..... LOL I still remember one morning waking up to go to work (at Buick) and having my friend help clean off the magic marker from my face, neck, and arms.....so that I could put on a dress shirt and go into work. I waited until that evening to clean off the $h! they wrote on my chest and stomach.....
  6. No dude....ur totally "straight".....LOL.....see my edit to my post above about the "pretty boy" thing...... I have the opposite problem....it's tough to meet people to date because most people think I'm straight when they meet me. I can't even cruise a hot guy in the mall or at the beach because I give off too much of a straight "vibe"..... LOL
  7. I've met you in person (if for a short time) and I don't see a single thing "gay" about you.....looks or mannerisms......so why do they give you $h!? (edit: Maybe it's the "pretty-boy" thing you have goin' on.....is that why? And I say that with only the nicest compliments to you in mind......Kettering/GMI was never known for having the hottest student body, men or woman....LOL....)
  8. If ur girl said she wanted to bring a woman home.....would you be up for that....?
  9. OOOOOOO Yuckkkkkkk Gagggggg (j/k) It's funny......I'm sure you were attracted to a "lipstick" lesbian..... But I never understood the "butch" lesbian.....or the "fem" gay guy....... I'm GAY.....which means I want a MAN......if I wanted a woman, I'd be straight.....right? So what's the attraction to the "fem" guy? And on the lesbo front....isn't a girl a lesbian because she wants to be with a woman? So what's the attraction to the "butch" girl??
  10. NOS....I'm so glad guys of your age today are SO much more accepting and so "I don't give a f@#k" about the whole gay thing. You guys, at your young age, are so much more mature about the whole thing....it gives me hope for the future. My friend's sons, 19 and 17, are the same way. They could care less. I've noticed this as a BIG trend. It's really the older, far-right conservative folk that still try to keep the paranoia alive.....
  11. So....if you are straight....have you ever felt an attraction to another guy? Doesn't HAVE to be sexual....can be a strong emotional attraction....or sexual...whatever. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to "be with" a guy? And if you are gay.....have you ever had the same feelings for a woman? When I was in high school, before I came to terms with being gay, I had a girlfriend. Now we never had sex because she was absolutely sure she wanted to remain a virgin until she was married. We dated, went out, and the most we "did" was kiss goodnight at the end of the evening. Funny thing is....I never desired having sex with her.....mostly (unknown to me at the time) because I was gay....but also because I didn't realize that I should be craving the sex and stuff with her. In fact, I hated the end of our dates because I knew I'd have to kiss her "goodnight" at the end of the night.....and I didn't enjoy it.....was "gross" to me. Since then, the MOST I've ever done with a woman was suck some boobies.....a female friend of mine when we were all at a party drunk and her husband dared me to do it....LOL.... Point is....I've never, ever, ever had any desire to be intimate with a woman in any sort of fashion.....even to see "what it's like." Now....another story....revolves around my best friend in college. To this day, even though he's married and has a kid, I still think he's gay (or bisexual at least) and never came out of the closet due to maybe pressures from his intensly-conservative parents, or whatever.... ....but when we were in college together (he was my "little bro" at the fraternity) we did EVERYTHING together.....and to this day, I'll tell you he was my first "love." In fact, we were so inseparable, the running joke around the frat house was that we were a "couple." And this was before I came to terms, accepted, or realized that I was gay. It was like being in a relationship....without the sex. When I'd stay over at his house on the weekends, sometimes we'd sleep in the same bed together.....and sometimes, in the early mornings, we'd lay in bed together. I'd do things for him like his laundry, and cook him food, and he'd do the same in return. If not for the wierd situation, it would have been almost a perfect "relationship." We'd even tell each other we "loved" each other! After college, I moved to PA, and later to CA and we somewhat lost touch. However, one year, at NAIAS, he met me downtown and we hit some pubs and got roaring drunk. Well needless to say, we ended up in my hotel room at the RenCen.....and well without being too graphic, "things" happened. Since then, (years ago), I haven't spoken to him much at all. So back to my first question at the top of this thread.....I've always wondered why my buddy and I had the relationship/friendship/whatever that we had in college....and shared all those emotions....but nothing ever came of it....is he gay? Is he bisexual? Was he too scared to come out of the closet? Did he feel a close attraction to me emotionally, but still be straight? Let me know your thoughts....and your own experiences......

TRUST ME.....the show is worth it. I'm no fan of waking up at 6am either.....but it makes a fun start to a Saturday. If you want, PM me (or I'll PM you) and we'll make arrangements.....even if it's just you and I. We can keep Croc and others in the loop in case they want to show up.....or meet later for breakfast or lunch. If not Laguna, I'm not opposed to driving up to L.A. somewhere for breakfast/lunch so we can meet up with the others...... (edit: one alternative is doing the car show in Irvine.....then meeting up at Autobooks in Burbank.....then doing breakfast/lunch somewhere up there...??? However, Laguna is just too perfect to be missed on a nice Saturday morning.......hmmm.....)
  13. It's funny.....I do agree that there are areas of the country where homosexuality is still not totally "accepted" but I have gotten jaded by how accepting people are here out on the west coast. My CFO and other co-workers in our Minnesota office all knew I was gay.....and I never had a single problem....in fact they were all almost overly-accepting and saw it as "no big deal." So maybe "tolerance" is gaining more and more of a foothold.
  14. Who says Jimmy was the "bottom?" LMFAO.....
  15. That has to be THE funniest emoticon EVEUH...!!!!!!!
  16. Cutie little NOS-y NOS-NOS.....(j/k) Didn't you watch Enzora's youtube video? That's where the "dude, dude, dude" came from. Watch it and you'll understand. And no....you could never go too far.....don't worry....be happy.....
  17. Dude...! Dude.....dude.....dude.....dude.....dude......dude......dude.....
  18. Well.....my BF may be 11 years younger than I (26 vs. 37) I'm not THAT bad of a cradle-robber...... LOL (Although there are some tantalizing pics of BV I've seen floating around.....I might have to reconsider......)
  19. Like it or not, last time I saw retail-versus-fleet percentages, Toyota, even the Camry and Corolla, sell a fraction of the number of fleet cars GM (and Ford and Chrysler) do. So let's talk apples-to-apples....not spurt eroneous opinions blurted out like "facts." Not that this is a "defend Toyota" post.....but Scion has worked. How long did it take Saturn to reach the same kind of sales figures? Who cares how old the people are....if people are buying them. "Tarted-up Hondas?" Why not "get rid of that brand?" Gee Reg....could use the same argument with GMC. "Tarted up Chevy Trucks." Or with Pontiac. Or with Buick. Or with Saturn. Or with.....<ugh>
  20. BMW is considered an "A-tier" luxury brand in Europe (along with Mercedes-Benz) and certainly is here too. What we consider as "luxury" here isn't necessarily the same world-wide......many in Europe would laugh at the contention that Buick, or Lincoln, or even Cadillac were to be considered a "luxury" brand. AND....for the record, according to BMW UK, even the barest-bones 3-series has A/C standard. The cheapo 1-series models have it optional, but anyone that knows the European market knows that that's not surprising for their market.
  21. "Hey cutie little NOS-y NOS-NOS....wanna piece o' candy?"

I think it's u and I....unless Croc wants to meet later in the day for brunch or something. Where's Turbo....?? Who else is SoCal based? I can always leave them PMs or something.......
  23. I love it how they are protraying "homosexuals" as nothing but pedofiles..... How twisted times were back then. The sad thing is, even with how times overall have changed for the better, there are still a fringe out there that still feel the same way....that us gay boys (and girls) are sick or mentally ill, or sexual "deviants."
