  1. It looks like the production version design is sticking pretty close to the concept.. very nice. One thing I can't tell from those pics is the A-pillars..the concept had very thick ones..I wonder if the production version has narrower ones.
  2. 8-speed???? Riiiiight..
  3. Sixty Eight, can you please STFU with your insipid B-pillar ranting? Nobody cares..find something meaningful to contribute.
  4. I love manuals, but I'd probably be content with an automatic with this car...in the Real World of stoplights, metered ramps, gridlocked freeway traffic, an automatic is easier to live with...
  5. I've only seen a couple on the roads, but the Honda dealer near my office has at least 30 or so on the lot..all sedans, though..haven't seen the coupes.

Here's a pic of the bridge in Astoria, Or that I mentioned earlier..neat design. I've been across several interesting bridges in the Portland area the times I've been there..

There's a neat bridge in Astoria, Oregon...I drove under it but didn't get a chance to go over it a couple of years ago..will have to go back and drive over it...it was really high up (so ships could go under, I presume).

Lots of cool bridge postings...I love bridges. Here is a neat one crossing the Ohio River back in my hometown of Steubenville, Ohio:
  9. I wonder how they fare in rollovers, though...rollovers seem to be the weakest area with full size trucks..the roofs tend to collapse due to the obesity of the body/chassis..
  10. Here we go again...same sh*t, different week..
  11. Cool idea..
  12. As is Kazakhstan...and doesn't GM have partnerships/operations also already in Russia and Ukraine?
  13. My Jeep has a lockout button for the rear doors (and one for the windows), but the front doors still open from the inside when locked.... I've gone to lunch w/ fiends before and stepped out and walked towards the restaurant, only to turn back after hearing people hollering/pounding on the doors, locked in the back...
  14. If the unions don't bargain, Cerebus could replace 'em all w/ illegal Mexicans...other industries (farming, meat packing, McDonalds, etc) thrive working that way....
  15. I started going to therapy back in the mid '90s when I was sinking into depression and madness from a failed engagement, PhD hell, near-alcoholism, etc... Therapy + Prozac + getting out of the infinite gray dispair of Michigan to sunny, happy Colorado changed my life for the better.
  16. I saw a black w/ black interior mid '90s Eldorado convertible with the top down yesterday...2nd time I've seen this car in the last month. When I went up in the mountains to see the fall colors last weekend I drove by a field near the tiny village of Pine that had a white '67 Grand Prix and a gold '65 LTD sitting together, probably had been there for many years...I was passed by a white w/ blue stripe Ford GT on the road to Pine (a windy, twisty road from the Conifer area).
  17. GM figured if they left off the scoops they'd get a lot of whining from the same crowd that whined that the '04 GTO didn't have scoops.
  18. Hopefully, the next president will be a Democrat..I'm sick of the hypocritical, corrupt Republicans in office...they have had the last 6+ years to ruin this country....
  19. Sure...'notchback' just means a bodystyle w/ a trunk as opposed to a hatchback, that's all...
  20. It's wierd..Citroen and Peugeot are brands of the same company, PSA, yet they have badge engineered models that compete w/ each other..some strange things going on in Europe.
  21. I know what you mean about the Charger...it's fast and flashy and unrefined looking...it kind of has a tackiness that I would associate w/ cars like Dale Earnhardt edition Monte Carlo SSes, which is kind of a redneck icon. The G8 has a level of refinement and subtlety (in dark gray, w/o the wing) that is more towards the CTS end of the spectrum than the Charger is...
  22. True about the G- and B- bodies..they did have different sheetmetal below the greenhouse, but the differences were quite subtle after the '80/81 restyles... to the average consumer they no doubt all looked much the same with each other...
  23. I wasn't talking about that Mustang power hardtop.. I'm talking about the aftermarket lift-off hardtops...that's all.
  24. I'd have to have manual and RWD if I bought one of these (or a CTS). Though I get plenty of winter here, I have that covered w/ my 4wd SUV.
  25. Wow... I'm speechless. Pegeuot and Citroen have been on a badge engineering kick lately, what with the Mitsubishi Endeavour rebadges and the Toyota Agyo rebadges..
