  1. Interesting..I'm not a fan of too much body-color trim, though....needs the chrome of the regular CTS..
  2. Hmmm...well, they are luxury cars, but some hardtops are definitely performance cars like the CLK 63 and CL 63..
  3. These are pretty funny...a reminder how forgettable and dull most GMs of the last 2+ decades have been. The jogger one reminds me of a comment a friend of mine said years ago to describe a Ciera as a car 'so bland you could misplace it in an empty parking lot'.
  4. I saw a really clean '56 Chevy 4dr sedan today..kind of a rose lilac and white two-tone...very clean overall, except for a couple nits...the rear bumper was pushed up tight against the body and there was a top-to-bottom crack in the windshield on the left side..
  5. What are the things hanging down the from the bumper? Mudflaps? What motivates people to do such stupid stuff, I wonder..

Interesting..I didn't realize they were out in the wild yet.
  7. Anyone have a list for the most recently available model year (2006?)....i.e. the top 10 in order of sales..just curious. I assume it's the Big 6 in some order (GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan) plus 4 more...
  8. Peter Murphy- Cut You Up
  9. Yes...I'd like to see the Challenger in that color.
  10. How about corian?
  11. Cool..that had to be memorable.
  12. I wouldn't consider the people (liberal or conservative) driving Toyotas to be 'yuppies'....driving a Toyota is as mainstream and ordinary as driving a Chevy or Ford... 'yuppies' I'd associate more with professionals driving the premium brands (Cadillac, Lexus, BMW, etc..).
  13. Or go to Bob Jones University or Liberty University and be amongst their own kind.. (To be fair, I know all Repubs aren't evangelical nut jobs)..though both my undergrad and grad schools were well-known as liberal institutions, I knew a number of Repubs that were intelligent (mostly biz school)..and back then (late 80s, early 90s) the Repubs weren't as disgusting as they are today (the corruption, incompetence, hypocrisy, racism that they symbolise and embrace).
  14. It was the same story..the Colorado crash was about a month ago...
  15. Interesting..I'd like to see GM do something stylish and interesting in the premium subcompact space...
  16. I thought they only cared about their bibles, guns, war, and raw capitalism...
  17. Bingo...in the UNIX world, C is still the language for system programming...along with shell scripting and Perl. I play around with C once in a while on my UNIX boxes (I've got 2 flavors of Linux and Solaris at home on various machines, plus OS X).. though lately my new favorite language is Ruby.
  18. I've seen Priuses around here also with Bush-Cheney decals, which seem very strange and out of place...I can't imagine Repubs buying green...my usual image of them are the 'F**k the environment' types driving monster Hemi Dodge Ram bloatbeasts.... (I see so many Super Dutys and Rams in suburbia around here with W04, NRA, and other Repub decals).
  19. I like it..it's a violent, aggressive sports car...the gorp looks integrated on the sides, not tacked on..and it's got the serious hardware to back up the looks..
  20. I remember using the famous Kernighan & Richie C book (K&R) to learn C back in the day, almost 20 years ago (1988). I moved on to C++ then Objective-C from there...I've been doing Java professionally for the last 10+ years and have only gone back to C and vi a couple of times since then.
  21. Yes, lots of vehicles have light knobs that work that way.. IIRC, I've had Fords that worked that way.
  22. Some sort of truck?
  23. Interesting..what is that?? 2 shifters?? Sounds alien.
  24. That sounds like the kind of stupid thing SixtyEight will do to a 2010 Camaro in 2030.
